/k/ recommends buying a Mas Rifle. So I go buy it, and now I can't find ammo for it?

Wat

Reload for it? You should have seen this coming buying a 70 year old french gun
>>

>implying /k/ knows what it is talking about
>>
>>32896405

Did you consider maybe there are reasons to own a gun besides availability of ammo? If ammo availability was important to you you should have done that research yourself. I doubt anyone specifically told you that 7.5 French was widely available.
>>
>>32896405
Prvi Partizan makes cheap 7.5x54mm ammo.
>>
>>32896405
I found a place to buy ammo with one google search, I will not share it with you.
>>
why does /k/ recommend that

good luck with that, fuckface
>>

Wow you're stupid.
>>
Hey OP. It is possible to make french 7.5mm rimless from plain old 308. In fact you just have to reshape the brass a little. You can re-use the powder and the bullet.

But I suppose you check for a reloading forum, not on this danish coffee cream art forum

This is what you get for listening to the advice of that one frankaboo tripfag and literally no one else.

>/k/ recommends buying a Mas Rifle.

No, that one tripfag that loves to choke on Alex's flaccid cock is who's been telling everyone that the MAS-36 was the "greatest rifle of WW2 omg so simple."
>>
>>32896405
I was gonna write a smartass comment but don't want to get another call for my bad karma. So dont give up buddy I'm sure you'll find some ! Try wikiarms for ammo
>>
>>32899455
It may be a good military rifle, but it isn't fun to shoot.
Dear god, that trigger.
>>
>>32899455
>greatest rifle of WW2

How can you even say that with a straight face when Kar 98s were all over the place during WW2 ?

I mean, the MAS 36 is good, but it can't compete with a Mauser.
>>
>>32899495
MAS triggers are as good as Mauser ones - you can read that up in severyl gun magazin articles

Also you have to keep in mind, that the MAS was the last large-scale adopted bolt action service rifle while the Mauser was at the time an 38 year old design.

I dont wanna shittalk Mausers but the MAS can compete with them just because its nearly 40 years younger and has several things that the Mauser doesnt have.

I wasn't aware that Mausers had 25+ lbs mushy, gritty triggers, good to know.
Believe me, I have both (a 30-284 conversion, mind you) it doesn't even compare.
>>
>>32896592
I know the place you buy 'coon chitlins carries .22LR, but why did you think they'd carry obsolete Frog ammo?

Go back to your double-wide and fry something.
>>
>>32899658
It it's a refurbished 36/51, that's perfectly normal, they parkerized all parts.
>>
>>32896405
Either get it in 7.62 NATO conversions or go stick with reloading and ordering online
>>
>>32896592
It actually is

>>32896756
As opposed to 30.06, 308 and 7.62x54R? (^:

I didn't know that, thanks a lot. time to tinker, then.

>falling for the milsurp meme

not even once
>>
Good. That way you won't wear it and you will keep it in good condition.
>>
>>32896589
Because it is the best infantry bolt action rifle ever made.
>>
>>32898896
No, you can't. Case head diameter of the 308 is too small. 6.5 Mauser ammo you can but why would you when 7.5 French brass is widely available in the first place?
>>
>>32899455
I've been saying the Mas 36 is great long before Alex was a trip on this board, let alone making videos for fucking youtube.
>>32899658
>Muh refurbished gun isn't smooth
Well gee, I wonder why that might be. My pre-armistice rifle has a better trigger than all but 3 of my milsurp rifles, including my 1908 German Mauser.
>>
What's the going rate for MAS-36s in good/decent shape?
>>
>>32900203
Depends if it's a pre-armistice or not. Those are gonna be around 800+. Post war refurbs around around 400-500.
>>
>>32896592
Is this bait or are you actually retarted
