Does /k/ actually use gun safes? I dont know if it's just for comedic value but I always see guns just strewn about your homes.
I've been thinking about buying a safe. I've been reading up on sizes, fire ratings, digital/mechanic, in-wall/bolted, and all that crap. Does anyone here actually own a safe and what do you like about your safe?

Hey guys. As of late, I've taken a very great interest in the delayed roller block actions, and HK's different weapons using this action. The spanish CETME was my first roller blowback firearm, and I really want to expand my knowledge on the many variants that came to be after it.
Does anyone know of any books or resources that really expand on the action and firearms developed using it? Books on the many roller blowback HK guns would be great as well.
Owning a fully automatic HK53 would be a dream come true for me.

A pistol without a round in the chamber is a brick, not a gun. If you are in a self defensive situation, there is a good chance you may be being physically assaulted and/or pinned which will not allow you the space or time to use two hands to chamber a round.
A handgun in a well made rigid holster is perfectly safe to carry chambered and the holster acts as the safety. Don't excessively fiddle around with the gun during the day (some people have the most bizarre habit of taking guns out of holster while sitting in their car) and you will not be idly and haphazardly handling it. When you do handle the gun at the beginning or end of the day, give it your full attention and care for safety.
It's pretty fucking easy to have a functional weapon AND not be an NDing retard.

Does anyone know - was G36 with military-grade optics module ever available on private market, or has any military bought in this configuration (if it was ever offered)?
