What do you guys do with .22's that do not fire or are malfunctioned? I have a couple and don't know what to do with them

Refinish wood, blue all the steel and hang it on the wall.
>>32913651
Sell it on gunbroker as a "mixed" batch.
>>32913661
How do you do that with an unfinished cartridge?

I'm currently shooting 600 9mm rounds a week, at $.20 a round before tax. That comes to about $6800 annual, which annoys the hell out of me. Did you, anon, do your math and figure out how much you'll be able to save in a year if you start reloading now, and use decent reloading press and consumables, with today's prices?
>>32913447
i did, then i calculated how much my time was worth.
>>32913447
factor in the value of your time
reloading takes a ton of time, and if you hurry you will screw up and your gun will explode
and you have to learn all that stuff, very detailed exacting work
Buy a Classic Lee Loader and hand load during commercial breaks.
And why the fuck are you shooting THAT much?!
Go to /diy/ and get a damn hobby.
You've got the money to have a hobby so enjoy that luxury and do something else besides shooting.
Shotgun for HD. I've heard this over and over. I went ahead and purchase a Mossberg 590, 20"
Welp last nigh the dog was barking at something rustling around the house s my wife woke me up and asked me to take a look. How they hell are you supposed to clear a house with this thing? It's so goddamn long.
A pistol or SBR seems clearly superior. Now I feel like i just wasted money on the wrong choice.
Am I doing something wrong here?
>>32913237
Shotgun for home defense is such a meme. You're correct in saying a pistol would be better.
>>32913237
Get an AR. Sbr it if you feel the need. Pistols are even more shit than shotguns for home defense.
>>32913416
How? At least a pistol i can hold down at my side while i maneuver quietly
Also post your all time favorite home defense/general purpose weapon

I've only seen 1. He was blasted in the face by a 5.56 in Iraq.
How did he react? Dead with a skull blasted open.
>>32913096
7.62 burst from 240, same but did take some skull off entirely
Didn't see one. Inexperienced shooter looking to buy my first, and there are a few Ruger SP101's in my area. I like S&W, but most of what they have is above what I want to pay right now.
Also, general revolver love.

Saw this on Facebook yesterday.
To be fair, the Celts who fought naked were generally the least operator.
They couldn't afford armor anyway so they figured they would go for shock value.
>>32912876
I read that it was for increased mobility and also to help prevent infection since theres no dirty cloth to get stuck in the wound.
>>32912991
or maybe its just because they were superstitious idiots and thought going naked would give them a stat boost
What's the best entry level? I only have a pistol now and I want one for home defense. I don't give a shit about tricking it out just one that's good quality and always go bang when I pull the trigger
M&P 15 sport 2, they can be had for under $600 last time I checked and they are fantastic rifles, accurate and reliable.

Am I the only one who shotguns do nothing for? I can kinda get excited about one of the military semi autos but even those just seem silly.
>>32912713
you're not alone. there is nothing exciting about them. I use them for hunting, and while I understand their offensive/defensive capabilities, it's still a niche role in those respects.
To each their own I guess. I never hunted before but after shooting my first clays I want to go bird hunting badly.
Between operating the pump, recoil, wide variety of loads, and being inexpense I really love pump actions.
Modern bolt actions are the category that are meh to me

Get a shotgun and buy some plastic lawn chairs and then come back.
So, I'm a poorfag and I'm getting tax returns, I need to know what gun to get, for my CCDW I've narrowed it down to 5 choices for various reasons.
>1. EAA Windicator .357/.38 special snub nose revolver.
Considering this one because I already own a .357 and I need to start thinking about standardizing my calibers. Plus it's small. Goes for about 300 dollars. Not to mention, you can't beat the reliability of a revolver.
>2. Zastava M88A 9mm tokarev
I have a soft spot of tokarev varients. This gun is shorter than my Romanian TTC, which would be better for concealed carry. It fires 9mm and I don't currently have a 9mm pistol however I like the fact that 9mm is dirt cheap and the gun itself is only about 250 dollars.
>3. 9x18 polish p-64 Makarov
I hear this is a good gun, I have some 9x18 ammo stored up because a family member that lives with me owns a CZ-82. So I wouldn't have to invest too much in new ammo for potential SHTF and the gun is concealable. However, I doubt that 9x18 will be as available as 9x19 in potential SHTF and personally I think the gun as ass ugly although I can see it's merits.
>4. Smith and Wesson SD9
I hear this thing is a glock copy, don't know a lot about it except it goes for about 300 bucks and is supposedly a good budget handgun. I don't own any polymer guns (I'm mostly a milsurp fag) so this might be a nice addition to my collection although I'm not 100% sure about it.
>5. Taurus P111
I looked up some YouTube videos related to this thing on the internet. Supposedly it's a good value for the money (goes for about 200-250) and shoots a common caliber (9mm). The price is the main selling point for this one.
So /k/, I need your help. What should I get? I'm conflicted?
Spend more. Buy once cry once.
>>32912548
The thing is, that's not really an option considering I'm basically an unemployeed NEET right now.
1.
>2017
>carrying a revolver
>cant beat that reliability!
yes you can
2. sure, fine
3. like you said, its a meme caliber
4. out of these choices, i definitely pick 4 just because it's got the best capacity and 9mm can kill people, contrary to what /k/ says
5.
>buying a taurus ever
Why did the Americans fail so miserably at making a real general purpose machine gun in time for WWII? Why did it take the US 22 years following WWII, including the entirety of the Korean war, to adapt the first standard-issue assault rifle?
>>32912430
Why the fuck would someone do this to an MG-42?
Theres two groups of people:
>Those that invented GPMGs and assault rifles
>Those that won the war
>>32912430
Hello anon. You've never shot a .50 cal. Enjoy trolling your way through life.
is this good trigger discipline?
>>32912324
Can he even fit his finger inside of the trigger guard?
>>32912324
No and it doesn't look like he has fork discipline either.
Maybe? It looks like Bigger Smoke there has slipped into a diabetic coma judging on his eyes and that loose grip on the VFG I don't think he's in any danger of pulling the trigger on accident if those pudgy sausages can even fit inside the trigger guard
