So Jordan Peterson, in talking about the individual's capacity of good and evil, said that PTSD is formed when someone does an act of extreme brutality (like war, killing of another human, ect. (not necessarily something evil)) and at that time they do not understand or fully grasp that they could do evil.
Also, the best way (he's found) to treat it is to help that person understand that fact that every human, especially themselves, can do both good and bad. Is this the case for any one here who does or has suffered from PTSD?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USg3NR76XpQ
He starts talking about it 46 minutes into the podcast.
ptsd can also occur in children who have suffered serious physical trauma, like a car accident for instance.

>PTSD and the understanding of good and evil
Has nothing to do with this board outside of a tertiary association with weapons because the military uses weapons and a lot of milfags have PTSD. /k/ is about gear. 4chan really needs a military board so shit like this can go away and real /k/ommandos can go back to sperging about katanas.

thanks for your input.
I am joining infantryman in the army. I never shot a gun except a .22 henry farm rifle. I been homeless for a year and figured I do something with my life.

Who is the most well armed? Who has the best resources? Alliances you could foresee?

First of all, none of the "alliances" formed will have any sort of continuity.
The geo-political landscape of USA is very complicated and any one faction gaining a significant portion of the country is highly unlikely.
Civil war in USA would most likely consist of several groups with different ideologies fighting each other at the same time.
It would be chaotic and have very little sense of who the actual enemy is. It would probobly feel more like a nation-wide Deathmatch.
At any rate it's never going to happen thanks to the world economy.

I'm not a history guy but I've recently started playing Company of heroes and one question came to my mind: Why was the battle of Normandy carried out using infantry, why not use the ships near the coast to destroy the german's defenses or deploy more tanks or use some sort of mounted machine guns on the boats? Anything would have been better than sending 1000 or so men to a suicide mission.
>>33919180
They shelled i for a few hours, and also had destroyers running close to shore to offer pinpoint naval gunfire support. But the fact of the matter is, sometimes you need infantry to take positions.
>deploy more tanks
Most broke down or sank before they got to shore
>mounted machine guns on the boats
They did, but they were immediately targeted.
>>33919263
I guess that answers my question though it looks like a very bitter victory for the allies. I wonder what the soldiers were thinking when they were being picked up one by one as soon as they were deployed. It was close to being a fubar scenario.

one by one....
Started a thread about this a while back and went to work right after and returned to a shitshow. So lets try this again. Converted my rami to sao with a czcustom flat trigger. Couple trips to the range later and once i dialed in some minor travel adjustments it's a dream to shoot. Anybody else modify their czs?
Also cz thread.
tbqh, next thing you should do is swap out the sights for something like dawson fiber optics.
No sense in having a nice shooting gun that has awful sights to keep track of
Have you CCW'd the RAMI?
I heard that out of the box it has a lot of snap, and want to know if it's worth carrying as a CCW or not after those adjustments you made.
>>33920680
Not him but Mike Pannone (someone who shoots a buttload amounts of rounds through CZs) says it's controllable.
I would take his word for it as it's a 10+1 gun that weighs 30oz loaded.

/k/ommandos, I'm contemplating buying a blowgun. However, I can't decide between a .50 cal or a .625 cal model and I don't know which length I should get (four, five, or six feet). What do you guys suggest?
(pic not related)
>>33919133
>buying a blow gun
>not carving your own from imported Tibetan bamboo
>implying a bunch of sperglords on a sumerian basket weaving form know anything about guns, much less of the blow variety

I blow my guns every day, I dont understand why would you need a specific one for that
>>33919133
4 foot, .50, single piece will be the best for normal backyard shenanigans. If you're hunting monkeys in Borneo get the 6 footer.
Let's have a tranquilizer thread. Post guns. The smaller the better.
Dan darts come in 11mm for 1ml to 3ml, and 13mm for 5ml to 20ml
Pneu darts all come in 13mm.
The barbed Dan darts is a flawed design because the sealing sleeve in front of the hook. Dan darts are best suited for low volume (~1ml) that do not need barbs. They also cause less damage because they use a closed tip and slower injection speed.
Pneu darts are the most effective and accurate on the market, but they are single use only.
Large volume injections are very uncomfortable. 5ml is the maximum safe volume for gluteus maximus and upper leg. 3ml for the rest of the body.
The last gun show I went to had some guy trying to sell some break action tranq rifle. It was a rather old and cool looking one, but he wanted something like $300 for it and I couldn't bring myself to buy it for shits and giggles.
I get that the fence port is to resrict the movement of the barrel so all shots go down the designated range, but why the vision obscuirng mesh above it?
If that mesh wasn't there, dum-dums would rest the barrel on top of the horizontal bar and shoot it whereever.
Normal MG ranges don't have these because you want troops training to sight in, but this looks like Japan or somewhere that restricts that, so this range is basically functional as no more than a mechanical test.
>>33918976
To stop mexicans from walking in the line of fire.
>>33918976
You've heard of the Fog of War before, right OP?
Well the mesh is there to simulate it.
hello, i have bought what i think is a world war 1 german dagger, but it's covered in rust, the blade is mostly fine there was still some oil on it because thee guy that sold it for me said that it was found in a box full of these dagger (but who knows where he got it). Does anyone know is it possible to clean it? or i shoud jus leave it like that?
i took a more clear picture, because i just realised it's harder to see the dagger on black desk...
>>33918507
It's a bayonet.
>>33918507
Make an electrolysis bucket. It's easy and it'll shed the rust without you niggering up the blade with steel wool or sandpaper.
For the wood I'd go with linseed oil.

Let's say, hypothetically obviously, you have a cute girl in your life. Girlfriend, wife, could even be sister or daughter. What gun would you personally want them to carry to fend up groid rapists and the like if you had to choose?
Has to be something they can actually carry and use, and assume they are on the smaller size or average size for a girl
