First of all, none of the "alliances" formed will have any sort of continuity.

The geo-political landscape of USA is very complicated and any one faction gaining a significant portion of the country is highly unlikely.


Civil war in USA would most likely consist of several groups with different ideologies fighting each other at the same time.

It would be chaotic and have very little sense of who the actual enemy is. It would probobly feel more like a nation-wide Deathmatch.

At any rate it's never going to happen thanks to the world economy.

America will be the only super power for the next 2 centuries, it will never balkanize, something more realistic would be Russian or Chinese balkanization. Which would actually happen in the next decade
