Citizens of the United States as well as lawful permanent residents are permitted to own firearms as long as they are not considered by law, "prohibited persons".
The Second Amendment of the US Constitution enshrines this right to bear arms, although the courts have upheld "reasonable" restrictions to these rights over the years.

if youre gonna be a new tripfag i hope you have a better gimmick than posting gay animals desu
Would the use of a separate, pivoting chamber like that seen on the cased, telescoped prototype LSAT rifles solve the gas leakage and gas sealing issues of the G-11 caseless rifle?
No, the LSAT type chamber will have the same kind of gas seal problems as revolvers.
>>33956406
Are you retarded? LSAT uses licenced G11 technology. LSAT uses the same two piece expanding chamber in its caseless variant as the G11 because it's proven and gas tight.
The pivoting chamber of the cased telescoping variant of LSAT is pure shit. It's basically just a one-chamber alternating revolver, which is a stupid idea for a high powered rifle as it exacerbates the problem of gas leakage out front that cased telescopic ammo suffers more from than conventional ammo. Plus, the completely pants onhead retarded idea of a pusher rod from behind to expel the case is a prime safety hazard, as it may set off rounds where the primer failed to ignite when the chamber is not in battery.
>>33956969
>two piece expanding chamber
I haven't heard of this, please you tell me more.
Also about that primer safety concern, aren't the bullets like completely seated inside the plastic case? Are they really poking out so much that primer ignition could be a problem?
So this thing just got categorized in Aus from catergory D (semi autos) to category b (bolt action rifles) and was wondering if any fellow k/ommandos have had any experience with the gun or have any tales to tell.
>>33956198
I've never even seen it before, mind you that there are a number of guns that get made for the Australian market but never get here to burgerland, for obvious reasons of not likely to sell well or bans on Chinese imports etc etc.
Is it really semi automatic or some wired pump/bolt/lever action?
>>33956225
its got a lever you hit with a thumb to cycle a round. if this gets to the media itll be an adler sized shitstorm
>>33956237
That's nifty, considering though that alot if these types of guns are just redesigned pump actions chances are pretty high it works as intended, but alas i have zero experience or knowledge of this piece.
Hello /k/. Hope you're all having a wonderful day.
I come to you smart fellows to ask an important question: What shell load is best for the 'under the bar' shotgun?
I've got a lovely 12 gauge Browning Citori my dear old pop gave me to forever ago and I keep it under the bar just in case, and it's only just occurred to me the legal danger of using the 'wrong' ammo.
I'm guessing some sort of buckshot would be good, since bird is too thin and slugs would go through the wall, but I'd still be concerned about the spread. Think close to medium close range encounters.
Any help is most appreciated you fine gents.
>pic kinda unrelated since it's past business hours and I don't randomly take pictures of guns
No 4 Buckshot. Used to be FBI standard.
A buddy of mine who is more shotgun savvy than me swears by BB loads for inside work.
>>33955901
Unless you are shooting across a department store, spread is not too much of a worry. Real life is not like a video game were shotguns are useless beyond 5 or 10 feet. While spread varies based on choke and barrel length, at 20-25 feet most of your shot should hit a man sized target (assuming you do your part)
>>33955920
I'll have to look that stuff up. Sounds promising.
>>33955950
I know that, obviously. Video games make it look like you're shooting pixie dust (except for those dragon's breath rounds in that one black ops mission, those were cool as fuck). The problem is that even a little bit of the load barely breaks someone skin they're gonna scream bloody murder both in the moment and in the courtroom, which are both equally annoying. Hell you could flick someone while saving their life nowadays and they'd still sue you. Can't be too careful.
Pic unrelated
But what tank is this?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQrDD4XBkfE
And do you agree that air dropping is a waste of time and resources?
BMD-4
>>33955884
That looks like somesort of IFV.
Also, air dropping is ok if you need to set up somewhere quickly while NOT under fire.
>tank
Does it trigger anyone when pogs or non-combat vets get unit tattoos?
Tattoos are supposed to have meaning.
When I was in the army, I didn't even think about getting a tattoo until near the end of my deployment. I've seen and done some horrible things in my life so when I came back to the states I did a lot of volunteer work which prompted me to get two tattoos of the words "angel" and "devil" in chinese on my left and right wrists so that I can remind myself that I am capable of doing both good and bad things.
10 years from now I'll look at my wrists and still have profound thoughts of what went through my mind the day I decided to get these tattoos.
>>33955813
No, never really gave a shit on what other people did with their bodies.
>>33955813
>tattoos
biggest waste of money since cigarettes
at least they're a visual indicator of those with poor impulse control and bad decision making skills
>>33955825
This. If someone gets a tattoo, that's their choice and it does have meaning to them, however trivial it may be to you.
So who's getting one of these?
What's the point of two lasers? And go to sleep anon, it's 3am
>>33955816
One is IR and there's a flashlight.
And no, night time is the right time.
>>33955799
Maybe if I go cosplaying as a sci fi character.
Can we get a /k/ recommended reading list going?
I am currently reading pic related, Gates of Fire. Excellent read, I'm about 1/4 the way through it.
What books do you recommend? Can be fiction or non-fiction. Cheers!

I just got one of these GSG 5's
How bad did I fuck up?
>>33955787
For plinking and then crying because you can't have a MP5SD? Good. For a .22 caliber rifle that's useful? Bad.
>>33955787
depends on what u intend to use it for, if its just for fun then u did good
I've got an old one - not sure the gen
I have feed problems, most likely the mags.
a good youtube somewhere showing how to remedy, haven't done it yet - pretty much just need to sand down the inside of the mag where the spring action is so it will easily slide.
I got mine because I had a tippmann a5 and just love the H&K mp5 look, I think I paid $380 ~2009 new. I kept it stock, again love the mp5 irons. Everything mp5 should bolt right on, stock, pins, you name it.
always gets a lot of likes at the range, but I would probably trade it for a stock 10/22 in a heartbeat.
Glock Perfection
I mean I kind of want one because of season 1 of True Detective but not until S&W drops the Hillary hole.
>>33955636
Shot a glock today for the first time. I actually intended to get myself a 26 at some point but not after shooting a very similar glock 43. My god was that thing a hot pile of shit. I don't know if I've just been spoiled by buying a beretta 92a1 for my first gun, but to me that glock just felt like a dinky piece of plastic in my hands with sights that look like they were designed by a child. It truly felt like launching the 9mm out of my hands with no gun even there, like a firecracker in my palm. I now have absolutely no intention of buying a glock.
>>33955663
Oh, and that trigger. I didn't even mention it because I had it so far back in my mind because I already knew it was shit before hand, but holy-let-me-tell-you that felt awful. The trigger safety makes the trigger feel extremely awkward and the trigger pull is garbage
What the fuck is this guy wearing?
Is it some kind of plate carrier so technologically advanced that it's just made of 2mm plastic?
Is it a sponsor-ad-space for companies he professionally shills for?
Is it a fucking girdle?
Please enlighten me, /k/.
>>33955597
It's a brace/body cast. He probably was recently fucked up, like a wreck or something. Deserves it for his uninformed hatred of the AK platform
He broke his back. It's a back brace.
>>33955597
Looks medical to me. Like a spinal brace or something.
>building your own AR is easy!
>complains when something fucks up
If you build an AR and don't know how springs work in relation what gas system the rifle uses, have to look up what needs to be staked reading this or just bought a lpk and a completed upper, you don't know shit about building a gun.
There's a reason why Colt is good. They have been assembling AR's for decades and they have everything figured out. Compared to entry level rifles, garage builds or even boutique gucci shit, I would take a Colt or BCM any damn day of the week. Half you people are better served buying a Colt OEM gun then slapping whatever furniture you need onto it.
Fucking fight me because that PSA Freedom AR was the most you've ever spent with monies in your short 18 year old life.
I have a PSA rifle and it's great. Who hurt you anon? Did mommy not give you your allowance? Reminder to sage bait threads like this
>>33955567
A Colt Expanse 2000 Carbine, which is the basic bitch AR with a Dust Cover, forward assist, and brass deflector, is $749.99 at my local academy. It has an A2 front sight post but no rear sight. The Colt expanse 1000 doesn't have a dust cover, no forward assist but the upper is forged for it, it just has a brass deflector, people buy it anyways because it's $649.98
>>33955620
>I have a PSA rifle and it's great.
It's great because you run only one mag through it every year.
I am brand new to the firearm department. I have not a single idea about firearm knowledge. All I know is what a handgun is, what a rifle is, etc. and I barely know that. I know the difference between semi and fully automatic. That's about it. I don't know the brands/companies of guns, what are good and bad guns, what can be added or taken away from a gun (modded?) , the kind and amount of bullets that a particular firearm can shoot, etc.
So my question is, how do I learn all of this? Do I just learn as I go along or should I look up information? How did you guys learn? How can I teach myself, or learn, how to be a firearm expert?
bump please help
>>33955355
Go take a hunter's safety course (I assume you're American or Canadian), YouTube and Google is your friend. Buy your first gun and work from there. Build an AR15 from the ground up. It's easy and you can learn much
Glock triggers are embarrassingly bad. It's as if the designers weren't even trying. The worst part is that we now have a generation of shooters who don't even know what a good trigger is supposed to feel like. Sad to see marksmanship dying as guns become like everything else in America: mass produced plastic garbage.
nice blogpost
>>33955211
Git good faggot, I can get .5 MOA with HK93 and you have NO IDEA how heavy those triggers are.
>>33955211
But every reasonably priced firearm made past 1950 is mass produced trash that often contain parts that don't even hold to specification because the unreasonable demands of modern production require both the operators and the inspection team to fudge the measured dimensions so that they are (technically) within tolerance. If they don't do this, they get replaced.
I saw you in Boston today. Which one of you was this?
>>33955090
You only seen one? There was like a dozen of us there. Based stickman militia was waiting to set lose freedom.
>>33955127
I saw a bunch, but this guy specifically had a /k/ scarf and also looked like a gigantic faggot
>>33955090
