HKfags tell me the HK21 is superior to the FN Mag, mainly for weight savings. They tell me other capabilities are similar except being a little more picky with ammo.
So is it actually worth getting semi Hk21 vs a semi m240?
>>33963001
>semi
It isn't worth getting either.
>HKfags tell me the HK21 is superior to the FN Mag, mainly for weight savings.
I doubt that. The M240 is as heavy as it is because its overbuilt, meaning it will keep firing for decades. Plus while roller delayed blowback makes for quite accurate weapons, its also very violent compared to gas operated guns. This is an irrelevance for a G3, but I wouldn't be surprised if older HK21s get stress fractures in the receivers.
>So is it actually worth getting semi Hk21 vs a semi m240?
It isn't worth getting a semi auto belt-fed at all.
>So is it actually worth getting semi Hk21 vs a semi m240?
Jesus Christmas anon no, don't get either. I have a massive bone for the M249S but you can get a PTR and a shitload of drums and it won't make you feel like you have less gun.

Well, you realize that the government is not as totalitarian as we would like to believe, right? There is a degree of common sense among them that separate us from terrorists and autistic faggots. We are autistic faggots with no real chance in hell of pulling shit. We might have the know-how but not the execution. Additionally, they are aware of the existence of the constitution and that there can be "just talk" and that stomping people out just because they talk will stir people to do more than just talk. And even if they are unable, a show of force by the American people against the government will cause too much shit to be worth dealing with.

>everybody on /k/ is a burger
>/k/ is one person
Bold implications you're implying.
went to my local one to see if anything was worth getting.
even with the going out of business discount. everything was still horribly overpriced compared to online.
they wanted 80 cents per round for makarov hollow points made by hornady. when it is 60 per online.

I feel bad for the people who will be out of jobs, but the death of the company is really no loss for the rest of us.
>>33962803
they were still trying to sell .40short&weak MP Shields for $450.
like a year ago they had 60 m1 carbines that were milsurp. I wonder what happened to them.
>>33962781
I was just caught wind of this after I found out that Gander Mountain is the only place near me that sells 5.11 gear.
I'm dead broke right now but if I had $10k to drop I'd be buying a lot of the marked down firearms to resell later. It's just the economical thing to do.
Get with the times folk, the marines is the new Air Force.

I wish I was that dead cat.
Tax money well spent.
Is this Russian propaganda?
How did they get btfo so hard in WW2? Literally how hard would it have been to just encircle some British troops in North Africa? That's all they would have needed to do to be useful.
>>33962437
It was the Italy's leader Mussolini (I cant spell his fucking name) They werent ready for war. Half of their planes weren't operational, all of their divisions lacked supplys, I heard the carcano rifles had accuracy problems and the Italians really don't know how to wage war just look at the ww1 battle they had with the Austrians . Their army was a big bluff and the leadership was worse. They do know how to make god tier food and good pistols and shotguns though.
>>33962708
i now want to see Italian shotgun merc squads for hire that come with complimentary dinner

Aiming for Late 70s - Mid 90s this time.
Starting it off strong again with British Soldiers in the Falklands.
Does NZ army who was locked in the 80s up until a couple of years ago count?
>inb4 wehraboos shit up the thread
>>33962300
Been lurking for a few years, and i always see multiple threads taking shits on the USMC, meanwhile singing praise about the army non-stop, at this point i cant tell if its bants or honest... kinda stings if its the latter
Because when the army gets bantz'd, they dont make pathetic threads like this.
>>33962257
Full Metal Jacket is overrated.
>Marine
>Not enough IQ points to tell bantz from non bantz
Have you ever wondered to yourself that the marines and army might be 2 different things with their owns strengths and weaknesses?
So /k/, I understand power armor is hardly the wave of the future when it comes to warfare due to how vulnurable said systems would be to RPGs, ATGMs, EFPs and a bevy of other space-age exploding acronyms but what about more permissive environments?
Power armor seems almost ideal for police use
if you ignore the obvious 22 metric ton gorrilla in the room of making small arms proof peace officers.
That out of the way, thing of the possibilities?
There'd hardly be any need to use lethal force unless lives were in danger.
Of course, you still have deaths from acute baton round/taser overdose but nobody's perfect.
I suppose it could exacerbate the niggers vs police arms race even further, forcing the redguards to use IEDs or buy black market RPG-7s but frankly that seems a tad improbable
So tell me /k/, why is this idea gay and retarded?
>>33962169
cost
and "muh brootalidy"
>>33962169
While still scifi, it's not far fetched to think that more and more civilian offices would be adapting power-armor at some point. Heck, the Japs are already about to adapt this one exo suit exclusively meant for healthcare personnel, who can use it to move patients and elders around with very little effort.
Not to mention how much the police units have become more "militarized" with their gear and tactics in the past decade alone. With cops having to prepare for anti-terrorism actions as well, a power armor system that renders regular smallarms useless could be handy.
>>33962463
>more militarized
Someone wasn't here during the LA riots.
Why shouldn't I buy a Springfield 1911 Mil-Spec as a first 1911?
>inb4 you heard SA sold out Illinois firearms dealers but don't know how and are too fucking lazy to learn the details of what actually happened and why SA and RRA have since severed ties with the IFMA

Well there is the whole SA RRA scandal where they appear to have sold thier customers down the river. (At least the Illinois ones)
Redpill me on the HK45c
I want a 45, and I think it'll either be a 1911 or this guy. How is the thickness for carrying and how does it handle recoil?
You got good taste I'm probably getting one in .40 compact, these pistols went throw NATO testing and are used spec ops.
I'm choosing .40 only because I don't have a handgun in .40 and feel I should get a third pistol in one of the main three calibers
>>33961698
>Redpill
Kys you stupid faggot
>>33961698
The grip is relatively thin, but the slides are fat as fuck and tall as fuck. This along with the recoil system make for a softer shooting .45, but it will still feel like carrying a double stack. They make elephants foot mags for it though, so you could always just use it like that.
Get the HK45cT if you live in a state that lets you get suppressors.
What round best penetrates water? Suppose you shot straight down into the ocean. Which caliber will travel the furthest, and have the most velocity. Bonus points for info on if a round can still kill deeply in water
>>33961639
Super cavitating rounds. Probably the most energetic high mass ones you can find, so likely cannon or HMG chambering unless you're limiting this to small arms only.
>>33961639
it's bullshit that your shots don't penetrate water so when someone dives even a little they're literally invincible.
>>33961639
Low velocity high weight. The faster the round the more the surface tension affects it.
Granddad served in the British Army for 35 years and gave me all the badges he had collected. His Cap and Beret though. He went from Private to Major.
Served 1957-1992 and joined as a Grenadier Guard, was claimed by his brother to join the RMP and then went onto train soldiers or something and left due to age and frustration with the formation of the RLC.
Anyone know anything about the badges and pins though that might actually be interesting?
>>33961633
Are these worth anything monetarily?
>>33961648
Well, he officers cap maybe. Was told by him that it was one of the last issued one that still use real gold lace but other than that, no idea. He didn't claim any were his just that he picked them up along the way.
Some may be linked to his service in Zimbabwe, training provisional government forces.
>>33961633
Nothing special or rare there but they are nice things to have, try to add to it.
ITT we try to imitate the noise of different guns firing and other anons try to guess which gun we're trying to imitate. i'll start.

for actually working well as a camo tho its hard to beat pic related
Granddad gave this to me. He was a Major in the British Army.
I've got more stuff if anyone is interested (Hats, badges and pins).
probably any of the waffen ss patterns. Oakleaf specifically, plane tree as well
Picked up a CMR-30 in a trade a few days ago. Was wondering if /k/ had any input/experience with them. Haven't fired it yet, sadly enough.
