Can anyone identify this rifle. It has been in my grandfather's garage for as long as I remember.
>>33959157
Ooh, it's got a straight pull bolt
>>33959157
K31 or a Schmidt–Rubin M1911
>>33959157
it's an excellent rifle, don't fuck it up
Ok so I'm looking for an m1 Garand. What should I look for and what should I avoid. I want to stay under 1000 bucks.
>wants the greatest battle implement ever devised
>won't spill necessary shekels
No
>I want to stay under 1000 bucks.
LOL
Maybe you'll find a rack grade one at a garage sale in the middle of Iowa.
>>33959098
I'd say wait a bit until Obama's executive order to keep korea war era surplus from coming home gets overturned, market will flood with more surplus and prices will drop.
I just bought this at a flea market any id on it lads? Also medal general????
>>33959040
>another fake flea market nazi stuff thread
>>33959065
can a lad just get an id on a medal around here?
>>33959169
it's not a medal or Wehrmcht/party insignia, it's just some nazi looking fake shit
I was just going from one video to another on youtube and found this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhQTBQjXZi0
It's a Panther replica based on on T54/55 chassis, when i look at the wheels it made me wonder. Couldn't germans do them same way that is done in that replica? I mean look at that
>doesn't overlap so easier to mantain
>still looks like could reach good speeds
>easier for crew to mantain + mud wouldn't be that much of a problem
>final drive in the back, no need for shitty transmissions.
What are some other things in vehicles or guns that could've been improved.
>>33959001
>make sure nobody can stick a magnetic mine on your tank.
>tank is full of shit you can hang a mine on with a hook.
>job well done!
>>33959001
>doesn't overlap
are you blind?
>>33959055
are you blind? it doesn't, those are sets of double road wheels but they don't ovelap like in OP's pic.
Would this be an accurate metaphor?
>>33958971
Not least in the sense that Spartans like to fuck each other in the ass.
No, Marines were the retarded as shit Persians at Thermopylae, not the Spartans
Rome also kicked the shit out of the Greeks
>Looking at a fal to buy
>It doesnt come with a pair of short shorts
Am I being hoodwinked?
>>33958911

Tavor thread
Just ordered a SAR for $1,000 because I couldn't find a decent price on a FS2000. Putting a Primary Arms 1-4 on top. I've never shot one before. What should I expect? Good gun besides the IWI /pol/ hate? Decent poorfag optic choice? I can't use red dot due to astigmatism. Ultimately I will put an acog or elcan on it.
I'm thinking I can play with it for a but until I find what I really want and sell it for a little profit.
>bullpup
>>33958425
When you have 4 AR-15's you start to want something different.
>>33959117
still a fag for giving up on an fs2000 which you supposedly really wanted. nowillpower/10
Interesting 2A news: An Indiana court finds that not only does the Second Amendment protect your gun rights, but the Fourth Amendment does as well. Styx lays it out here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKcy0q8DeOE
>>33958299
The first time I've been proud of living in Indiana
>>33958299
whadya know, any court outside of jew york and jewifiornia actually rules in favor of rights, go figure
>>33958299
Any other Hoosiers know if constitutional carry will be a thing soon? I thinking of getting my CCW license but don't want to get Jewed out of $70 if its going to be free next year.
I'd like to buy a musket, do you guys have any advice?
I think I would like a Short Land Brown Bess, but I would be willing to consider others, percussion or flintlock. Budget is a maximum of $700, but if it's possible to get something good for cheaper, that's preferable
I've heard good things about Veteran Arms. They have a pretty big selection and all their stuff is ~600$.
Middlesex Village Trading Company also has a good selection and prices, but their wait list is absurd.
>tfw I placed an order for pic related from them back in January and I'm still on the wait list
>>33958294
>$700
gonna have to buy one used
>>33958338
But Veteran Arms has pic related for $640...
Even so, I'd be fine with used if I had no other option.
does anybody have that /k/ movie list that was floating around? just finished college and i need something to live for again
Kelly's Heroes
Blackhawk Down
Platoon
Full Metal Jacket
The Outlaw Josey Wales
The Patriot
To Hell and Back
Sergeant York
Saving Private Ryan
Heartbreak Ridge
The Green Berets
Wayooooooooooooo
Fried Green Tomatoes
rate my camo.
>>33958189
It makes me feel nauseous/10
>>33958189
Feel like it'd work in a swampy lake area in autumn.
>>33958189
What camo? I dont see anything
Yes I know the argument that muskets were inaccurate, but it doesnt make any mathematical sense.
A line of people firing at the same time has the same chance of hitting the target as everyone standing scattered and firing at different times.
And that's why the US pushed their shit in.
>>33958021
Try giving orders to 1,000 troops spread out over a battlefield covered in smoke and gun and cannon shots
>>33958043
Oh, also remember that your average line trooper is an illiterate chav that was probably a criminal at one point and would bail form the fight the second you say "take cover in those bushes"
Thinking of joining the Regular Army as an infantryman. Any advice?
(British Army).
>>33957989
Need to be more specific mate, whats your 1.5 mile run time?
>>33958070
Not sure.
Definitely need to get into better shape though without a doubt.
How does the Army with bigger guys in general though? Or does it just not work until you get yourself ready outside the Army?
>>33958097
*How does the Army work with bigger guys?
A noob question - when I go into a gun store how do I know that I am looking at this years model or a model from 5 years ago?
I dont want to drive the sales guy nuts, but I overheard a conversation at the last gun store:
"Yea this gun is about 4 years old..."
puts it back in the marked case NEW GUN SECTION, not used, not a pawn shop.
So there is a minute chance I might be getting some 5 year out-dated turd if I don't do my homework?
>>33957843
Guns are not perishable anon. Stop being a faggot.
>>33957861
What I mean by "out dated turd"... the tech in the gun has already been disproved / not really accepted by a vast majority of gun owners and I am looking at essentially dead inventory, that doesn't sell but they still keep them in the New Gun Section -
like guns that now only come with a small capacity mag... because of new regulation so it killed sales...
- incase somebody's grandpa wants this particular gun from his childhood.
>>33957843
What you overheard was someone buying "New, Old stock".
It was a brand new gun, that happened to be 4 years old, it's not unheard of. My mom actually managed to find a S&W k-frame .38spl new old stock, made in 1968
