The year is 1987,
You and several other /k/ommandos have been stationed at a research station in the cold waste land of Antarctica. One day, a discovery of a unknown other worldly organism was discovered in the ice, and was drilled out for further research.
6 hours later, there have been several casualties, as the unknown biological organism escaped it's frozen bed. It also appears such organism imitates the cells of other beings.
How will you and your /k/omrades survive and stop the organism before it reaches civilization?

So I was playing BF4 recently with the XM25, and thought of how expensive and complicated it must be. Do you think such systems could be simplified to make them cheaper and such without them losing too much of its overall effectiveness.
For example, if the XM25 would fire ordinary grenades from a magazine, without any range-finding equipment and all that, could it work as a simple mag-fed grenade launcher?
Or the AN94? If the 2-round burst mechanic was removed, could it still work as a AK-redesign?

Does anyone remember the video (I think it was BCM themselves) on the original magnesium KMR rail where the guy hits the AR against a post and the KMR clearly gets bent but he makes no mention of it and keeps shooting? Has it been erased from the internet? Am I just imagining things?

I'm going to start a community "militia", with my family and some of my closest friends, all of whom live closeby, and I would like suggestions on top of my ideas.

Primary Objectives
-maintain law and order and assist law enforcement/national guard/first responders in any emergency
-be prepared at any time or place to render medical care or shelter to any person
-participate in charity events and public service are mandatory
-maintain safety for local business owners and residents in the event of civil unrest or any other emergency
-establish a close relationship with law enforcement officers and participate in community outreach programs

Secondary Objectives
-To apply lethal force under onpy the most dire and desperate of circumstances to protect the wellbeing of the community, in the defense of yourself and others

Requirements for joining the Nevada Free Peoples Armed Militia
-always be polite, professional, courteous, and presentable
-become EMT certified
-be in basic physical wellbeing
-be willing and able to assist your neighbors in any crisis situation
-be of good character and moral solitude
-have no bias to your fellow humanity based on race, gender, religion, political affiliation, or any other disposition that is considered unnatural by mainstream society
-have a surplus of water, food, tools, and materials
-own a semi automatic rifle, a sidearm, magazines, and ammunition for these weapons, and recieve professional training on how to employ such weapons
-own medical supplies, and have access to at least a basic medical kit at all times, and have the training to employ them to stabilize a patient in serious or critical condition

Is a 300blk lower exactly the same as a 5.56 lower? I found a BCM lower on grab a gun but it says it's both multi caliber AND 300blk. I always thought 300blk took regular lowers but now I'm unsure.
