I'd like some critique on the title of my drawing. I feel like a good title is like 40% of what makes artwork appealing.
kill yourself lazy retard, sage and hidden
>>2985930
If your art needs a title, then it's shit.
>>2985930
Call it "Needs more Loomis"
Can I get some tips on doing digital art?
>>2979105
Me and my friends do this whenever there's a guest speaker at our school or we go to like a seminar or whatever. Whenever they open it up to questions, we just ask "any tips?" because it's the most asinine and vague thing you can ask someone. Can you get some tips? Hell yeah you can get some tips, man.
Do you have a tablet?
If you do do you have the necessary driver?
>>2979105
Sure, but if you want I can put the whole thing in.
I'd like critique for this sketch I did for a magazine. Does this, in any way, represent internal peace to you?
I think I see what you're going for but it's not quite there.
searching on the internet there is a tremendous lack o chimamire sukeban chainsaw fan art not to mention some merchandise, and i was wondering that it there's any way to spread the love for this manga? anybody? please respond!
>>2985914
Love the series but no, make fan art yourself. Lrn to draw
The final uncommissioned piece in the Who Said What series. The quote comes from his speech at the Founding Rally of the Organization of Afro-American Unity (28 June 1964), an organization he had hoped would become his main focus after departing the Nation of Islam. The "By Any Means Necessary" excerpt from his speech became the last major quote before his death less than a year later, and would define how his philosophy was understood.
"We declare our right on this earth to be a human being, to be respected as a human being, to be given the rights of a human being in this society, on this earth, in this day, which we intend to bring into existence by any means necessary."
he named the Jew, now we're taught he's a hate spreading radical and no one really cares about him. dat MLK tho
>>2985463
Yeah, he hated anybody who wasn't a nigger, but he realized he fucked up, figured out the obvious and decided that we should get along with each other regardless of color of skin.
Then, he got killed by his very own militants. How ironic.
>>2985885
>killed by his very own militants
Good goy, keep regurgitating that propaganda. Bet you believe Arab Spring was kicked off by "the people" too.
Anything goes, provided they work with physical mediums.
Jeremy Mann
They say artists leave /ic/ when they've finally made it
why would he stay on 4chan? it's universally hated
I admit /ic/ is actually useful, unlike a lot of art "communities" like r/art but at a certain point, especially if you're successful, you are going to want to distance yourself from the website that hosts far right-wing fucknuts unashamedly
plus, there's a certain skill level you reach where /ic/ simply stops being useful to you, and you find you have almost 0 peers you can discuss anything with, because 90% of people on here haven't even started art and are just pretentious assholes discussing art memes
>>2984754
I interacted with him a couple times and he was a nice guy, while /ic/ seemed to hate the shit out of him whenever he was mentioned.
>>2984779
im still here though. the "leave /ic/ when you're good" meme only applies to people who want to form a "community" with "fans" and "webcomics" and a "patreon" and "tutorials" and they never say "faggot" because it "alienates" their "fanbase". I plan on using /ic/ until it goes away. And you can all continue to suck my dick.
Does anyone know how this is done in perspective?
simple 1 point perspective
>>2984140
>draw in 1 pt perspective
>make upside down stairs and buildings
>???
>profit
>>2984146
The stairs though
Is Loomis for /ic/ the equivalent of Rippletits for /fit/?
If so, is he a meme as well?
Discuss
>>2984035
as is to boko no pico as is to SICP as is to "the pleasuring of cumming inside" as is to etc. each board has its inside joke.
>>2984035
Pretty much, yeah. Both books aim to build a strong foundation for the beginner to build upon and are often the scapegoat of said beginners when they don't make improvements like they imagined they would.
>>2984039
So, as squats, deadlifts and cleans are a meme for a great physic, Loomi's construction may be a meme as well.
Thank you anon, I was about to read his books but now I will spend my time in a better way.
Thoughts?
>>2983195
Seems like youre virtue signalling and dont need to write this garbage down, also these notes will set you up to never improve but feel good about everything you make
>>2983195
>who cares?
>it's okay if you drew a weird looking foot
No, it's not. If I'm not good at something I get mad and hate it and myself
>>2983195
I find I do have to absorb reference photos or engage with an environment before drawing it. It's also true that you need to exaggerate in order to create liveable spaces.
As for redlining anime girls... We're only human beings.
What artists do you follow on twitter?
I'm asking because I set up a bot that downloads all the images from my twitter feed and lets me sort them into my references, trash
, and porn
folders, but right now I only follow generic pixiv bots
I wanted to do that earlier but apparently they require your phone number to use the API and I don't want to deal with that shit. It's unfortunate because I loathe twitter as an image repository. It's impossible to find anything without tedious searching.
Anyways, mostly porn:

they required my phone number *for signing up*. fuckers.

Only this one for the moment. Looking for more.

FAQ:
Something's broken, what do I do?
>The original developer of the site has taken a leave for quite a while, originally due to medical reasons. Progress on the site is almost non-existant at this point. You can try contacting him at @LavaFlake or emailing him at .
What do we draw?
>Whatever you want. At this point there's no required topic so draw your heart out. Make sure you submit at least a half hour of work or you may get a low effort warning.
What's a low effort warning?
>The goal is to get people to draw every day by turning it into a competition. The low effort warning system is to prevent people from posting last minute, quick sketches when they're feeling lazy. If you receive a warning and it happens again within a month you'll be eliminated.
>This rule has been the cause of a lot of concern amongst newer artists so let me reiterate: this system is to police low effort content and has nothing to do with the quality of the work. New artists are more than welcome.
What happens if I'm eliminated?
>Your streak will go back to 0 and you will have to start again. No other penalties.
How can there be a new Last Artist Standing challenge every week?
>There is no week system anymore, instead new users are given "streaks" based on the number of consecutive days you can submit without getting eliminated. (token losses do not reset your streak)
Will I have an advantage if I join later in the week?
>The winner of a Last Artist Standing will be the artist with the longest streak. If you join on day 1 and last until day 85 then you'll have a streak of 85. If there's only one person left in the challenge when you're eliminated but they joined on Day 7 then they'll need to continue on for another week. If they're eliminated before then, you win.
there. kick rocks.

does living out of a van and doing a 9-5 job until I pay off my student loan debts when I graduate in 2 years, and then travelling around doing plein air oil paintings to survive sound like a bad idea? Are there any negatives to this that I haven't accounted for?
You'll smelle
Are you me? I just posted about this a little bit ago except I have no intention of going into debt.
I'd prefer a van I could stand up in to make a stealth RV out of but they're all damn expensive, even used.
>>2980775
Pirate wash, my man.
>>2980797
Luckily my debt isn't tremendous since I plan on graduating in 3 years from a state school and am already at a paid internship at 18 (bragging.). It just seems like theres a whole world waiting to be painted and to stay in one place is both limiting and expensive
What does /ic/ think of New Masters Academy?
Also I'm broke and don't have $2499 to toss around, help a brother out : )
>>2985130
It's only like $35 per month... go suck a dick or something.
What is this guy using in the picture?

Looks like a Watercolor pen
Hey /ic/ what's the best advice for getting better at your work or keeping up the inspiration? I live with very strict business type people and anytime I do spend drawing I feel like it's in vain. I mean money isn't a big deal but to actually become successful would be neat.. just don't know how.
Not really into selling out by going "Ermagherd im a grill send my munney" yknow.. any advice?
In moment of inspiration you could be hungry, thirsty, or at some shitty work, basically, you could be easly distracted because inspiration is randomly generated. Much better approach is to draw inside your head, keeping the best ideas for later - your head as a filing cabinet. But, you have to learn how to think in 3d or in simple shapes, your mind is designed for them.
