What are some good resources for b/w images for value studies?

What the fuck is this shit
And I thought those golden spiral images were shit
The composition of that image is obviously a much simpler
>eye is first drawn the board with the lightsource and then to the people coming into the room
Making shit complicated just makes it more complicated, not better

Hey, /ic/. I have something called dysgraphia, which basically minds I can't draw for shit. I've always been embarrassed by my handwriting, and when I was in highschool I avoided art class at all costs.
Recently I've been trying to channel some creative energy into a new medium and I'm curious what other people think.

Well, I like it.
I am in the process of writing a fantasy novel and am getting stuck. I would like to know if there is anyone who is full of ideas or at least willing to give a style to the characters I created and maybe make mini comics or animations?
Just someone with similar aspirations
I have pages of brainstorms and samples and a pretty structured out 'diagram' but I feel that I could use a loyal friend to reach goals with.
My kik is girlylifeme
(its a backup account, i know the name sucks)

How much are you paying
Holy fuck is that breakfast monkey
>>2448474
Just what i was looking for. I'am full of ideas and would love to make a collaboration on a comic or something like that.
>mfw I get chronic nosebleeds, so I can do blood art without cutting myself
I'm a woman, you got nothing on me.

>tfw you use art as an excuse to self harm
>Collage artist so only a billion razors to choose from
Considering getting an iPad pro with a cell plan today $45 a month for 24 months. I'm not worried about the long run price, I can't dish out 600- 1000 so this is my only choice. I'm trying to do art for a personal game in working on, is the pro up to par with those standards if not recommendations? Also had to be something I can pay for over time.
Pls help. Bump

This nigga knows what's up.
Is it true that if you think your art is awful (finding all the flaws) you are improving? I've been like this for a while, and I'm currently been plateauing, but making slight (slivers of) improvement.
Pic related is some shit I threw together in 4 seconds.
I asked this before and an anon said you are indeed getting better and it's because your eyes are getting better at recognizing mistakes. It made sense, at least to me.
>>2454403
>>2454461
no i don't think so. there is no real correlation there.
the opposite however, that you are not improving if you see no flaws in your work ever, can be said with certainty.
so if you see a ton of stuff that sucks in your work you still need to take action to improve those aspects in your next image.
>>2454403
if you can see that the stuff you make is off or not what your vision was, AND you can take the same idea and improve on it in an iterative fashion, then you are improving
recognizing that you suck and continuing to make the same mistakes is not improvement
What does /ic/ thinks of Gerhard Richter's work?
Roll only if you have at least half an hour to work on you roll and post it. Do not reroll, flex those creative muscles.
If you want to escape /ic/'s slow post count, use a random number generator such as random.org or randomnumbergenerator.com
I'm still learning the basics but here we go.

Hair, my one true weakness.
It's been a while since I've actually drawn anything. What the hell did I do wrong?
stop spamming this

it's really good , I like it
Anyone have any tips for drawing anatomy? Even when the proportions look equal and correct I struggle to draw figures with the casual slouch that we naturally have, and people end up looking as stiff as a board. Any trained/talented artists have advice?
The only advice that matters is the same for all these retarded "how I do dis?" threads. Practice, a fuck ton.
It's not what you lazy assholes want to hear but that's what works. If you don't spend the time doing the studies (Drawing figures from life/photos) to understanding what the fuck you're drawing no amount of tips or tricks will help you. It's a trained skill and the only way to get your figures to look good is to spend tons of hours drawing them badly and slowly making improvements until they're good.

thank yer models kids
Fantastic
oh I love that film, thank you for posting.
but I gotta say, the style is Sheridan College all over the place and I am not sure if this is a good thing. I am wondering what would have become of the artist without the disney flavour.
This is the best work I've seen in years. Thanks for posting.
I like the style
artwork your never going to finish thread
i did this one in adobe during my highschool art class
post all of your unfished works
>>2453720
It would look nicer if it wasn't so compressed, you should redo it some day
>>2453721
haha, its not compressed. i was going for a "pixel art" kinda vibe
guess it didint come off like that
>>2453722
I'm sure if it had been finished the pixel art look would have come through.
Drawing I SFUCKING IMPOSSIBLE
HOW DO YOU PEOPLE FUCKING DO IT
I"VE BEEN READING ALL THOSE HOW TO DRAW BOOKS AND IT AINT WOKRING
>>2446081
>I"VE BEEN READING
cool, now draw diligently for a couple of years
>>2446081
Try doing what you see on each page instead of reading them.
I would recommend to start with a real book like Scott Robertson - How to Draw (not now to draw on the left half of your ass) after that you will be ready to start studying humans by Michael Hampton.
I'm so sorry Pianorei. It shouldn't have been like this.
How the hell does this happen? How can one artist dig themselves into such a shit hole.
Also, general confusing artist change thread.
>>2453605
was this drawn by adolf?
>>2453605
They are two completely different styles, not surprising when switching to a new style you're shit until you get good at it.
didn't think this was something anyone needed to be told.
>>2453616
> muh style
no, this is what happens when you go mango and banana first before Loomis. If you can Loomis then style shouldn't even be an issue. Just observe and memorize the proportions and grind and you'll be gud. Like those Japanese animators or assistants that can master a new style quickly? yeah they got the eye.
