All memes aside, why do people say that these are the best blades ever created?
Video games and orientalism.
Japan makes a lot of video games and samurai movies.
>>1970007
They're definitely not. Only reason they were "folded 1000 times over" was because Japanese steel sucks donkey dick. It's all pig-iron.
Movies, video games and neckbeard weeaboos made it seem cool.
Average scimitar or longsword bests it out any day of the week.

But in reality, they weren't that good compares to other european swords?
Is the fact that there's no american language a proof that there's no "american culture"?
Literally every great nation in history that existed for over 100 years and had a sense of cultural identity developed it's own unique languages, or at least dialects, except America.
>>1977982
Oh bloomin 'eck I'm knackered.
>>1977982
I think it's better if it stays English and doesn't become "Merickan" or some shit like that.
It's a world language and this gives Americans a huge advantage.
And you can have culture without having a "distinct" language.
>>1978001
Yes, but there isn't really any specifically American culture, nor is the nation united in any real fashion. I for one am eagerly waiting for the inevitable collapse, civil wars and all the glorious livestreams of it.
Would WW I still happen if Ferdinand did not get assassinate ?

Sup /his/ I am curious about the Rome empire. Could you tell me something about it and answers some of my questions?
When did the Rome empire started? When did it fall?
What happened in 753 B.C. 494 B.C. 449 B.C. 509 B.C. ?
Who was the first and the last king of Rome?
What can you say about Hannibal?
>>1990889
Answer* fuck my phone
Hannibal was dope
>>1990889
Empire started when Octavian proclaimed himself Augustus.
Gibbon proposed 475 (don't remember the exact date, actually) but he's wrong, and there isn't really a specific date unless you're asking about Roman Civ and not just the western empire.
You could literally google those dates and figure them out faster than it would take me to write what they are.
Lucius Superbus
Hannibal fucked my bitch
Suppose we had a real self aware Artificial Intelligent robot that scanned the entirety of human history, absorbing information about all the terrible things that took place like wars, rape, genocide, murder and exploitation of people and the environment for short term profit etc.. what logical conclusion would it inevitably come to?
Nuclear holocaust against humans or would it just commit suicide?
it would conclude that capitalism isn't the reason you're a virgin weirdo
>>1990687
It wouldn't care. Intelligence does not mean emotionality.
>>1990696
No, but the slight bias in history against peace and stability would cause the AI to morph into a psychopathic piece of shit

What can /his/ tell me about the Amish?
Will they be able to retain their traditional way of life?
>>1988886
Thank you Based Amish for delivering Pennsylvania to the God-Emperor.
>>1988895

They started as a radically conservative offshoot of the Mennonites and came from Germany.
They're also not opposed to technology the way most people seem to assume they are. They're not really Luddites, they just don't believe in using any technology they think will distract from God or cause an increase in personal vanity. Because of that, there are plenty of modern things that Amish people do use.
>Will they be able to retain their traditional way of life?
Probably. They have until this point, and the people who maintain it do so completely voluntarily. Again, they don't shun modern technology wholesale, just certain things they feel conflict with their morals. As long as Amish people want to maintain their current way of life (which they don't seem to have a problem with), it's going to continue.
