In descending order, the 19th, 18th, 17th, 16th, 15th ... 1st. Then I'd work my way backwards through the BC centuries.

This isn't to say we don't still have problems, but in general, people's lives have in fact slowly gotten better with time. Although I might skip over the 13th and 14th centuries, and rank them lower than I otherwise would have, because I want to minimize my chance of being raped by Mongols or killed by the plague.

This is assuming I'd just be reborn as some random schmuck without any of my 21st-century knowledge. Otherwise I'd bone up on chemistry, medicine, and engineering, crash course myself in medieval Latin, and zap myself back to the 7th century or some such and fucking run shit.
