When will Islam go through its Reformation?
>le islam is just christianity but a little behind the times hee hee XDDDDD
>>2071024
Literally happening right now. ISIS is the reformation in that they're a bunch of spergy cunts who don't understand the world that they live in. Wahabbis are also part of this. Iran is the papacy in this reformation.
Started in islamic revolution of Iran and it's climaxing in Levant and Iraq as we speak.
Do you think countries/cultures should have the right to impose their laws or values on other countries/cultures?
This is the proposition for my paper and I don't know how to go about it. How do you even handle this topic objectively without being autistic or an sjw?
>>2070654
Yes, it's not only a right but a fundamental law of nature. It comes down to two basic things.
Either you select FOR kin, or you select AGAINST kin. Any middle-ground tends to one extreme or another as it becomes more sophisticated and explores its logical boundaries.
yes, with a healthy margin of error
you stop them conducting a genocide but it doesn't really matter whether they eat hummus or couscous
If its wrong to impose your values on others it would be impossible to actually impose this value

Other people who are technically kinda Belgian:

Belgians are neither an etnicity of a culture to begin with. They are Dutch or Frenchified Dutch. Charlemagne was a Netherlander (the geographic area, not the state).
Frogs and Krauts, stay off our history.
Why do fascist hate jews so much?
Fascist are usually nationalistic and see jews as not of their nation, as outsiders leaching on them
Why have jews been kicked out of 100+ countries?
They need a convincing villain and the Jews have been stereotypically the James Bond villain of history.
Why didn't Jews just willingly leave Germany when the Nazis took power?
It wasn't as it the Nazis banned them from leaving, they wanted them gone. And if they had all left there wouldn't have been any holocaust.
Before they started killing them the Nazis also tried getting other countries to take them, like America, but these countries refused. Why would they refuse?
>>2070260
They weren't allowed to.
Or they weren't allowed to leave with anything but the shirt on their backs.
>>2070270
They were allowed to leave if they paid next years taxes up front.
>>2070270
Look up the Haavara Agreement. The National Socialists assisted the Jews, 50,000 (one tenth of the Jewish population in Germany) in emigrating to Palestine with their possessions.
Both narratives that the National Socialists intended to kill all the Jews and wouldn't let them leave are fabricated.
Are Basques the only true Natives of Europe ?
Basques simply have a much smaller percentage of Indo-European invader in them. Many Europeans descent from a raging warband of steppe dwelling male horse riders.
>>2070136
According to your own map they mostly descend from Anatolians
>>2070121
Pronbably not but you could argue they are the most indigenous out of all extant groups in terms of language at least.
On the other hand Indo-Europeans are thought to have come from Samara Russia which is slightly on the European side of the Urals.
Can we have a thread concerning the sociological reasons behind the explosive growth of Protestant Christianity - particularly, evangelicals - in Mexico (and Latin America), at the cost of traditional Catholicism? It's a very interesting phenomenon, I think. Regions that one would usually associate with Catholicism are increasingly converting to Protestantism: for example, in the Mexican states of Chiapas, Quintana Roo, Campeche, and Tabasco. In Chiapas, the Protestant population now encompasses ~15% of the population, and very likely will exceed 20% in the next few years!
My question is: what's behind this dramatic shift? Again, I'm asking this from a sociological perspective.
Don't bother posting if you're going to start with the "Protty vs. Catholic" trash, or yell "heretics!11!!1" or "pagans!!111". I want this to be a serious discussion. Seriously, don't bother - take it to /pol/ or /x/ if you have to.,

Why is marxism so common in history works and academia, /his/?
Probably the same reason libertarianism and the Austrian school is popular among people who took a few classes at community college.
>>2070107
which is...
>>2070107
Missing the point faggot, he is asking why it is peculiar to history and sociology
Why isn't Paul Krugman a revolutionary marxist, you know? How come Friedman didn't arrive at libertarian socialism? Why are natural scientists not usually of the radical left?
Was he right?
>What we may be witnessing is not just the end of the Cold War, or the passing of a particular period of post-war history, but the end of history as such: that is, the end point of mankind's ideological evolution and the universalization of Western liberal democracy as the final form of human government.

Of course he wasn't. This whole book reeks of the ignorance an empire displays in its prime imperial moment. Nowadays we are witnessing the slow decay of the american empire and the multipolarization of the world.

Is depression a meme disorder? Has anyone ever in history suffered from it?
Today literally any special snowflake can fake it. People in the past would just tell you to stop being a bitch and man up.
It's real, but only when it's caused by the meds that supposedly treat it
Probably because until recently, nobody had time to be depressed because they were too busy spending 16+ hours a day just focused on surviving. Aristocracies probably had many cases of depression.
>>2068828
>People in the past would just tell you to stop being a bitch and man up.
And this wasn't the case for all illnesses?
Why do Catholicucks consistently claim that Jesus claimed to be God when he never said anything of the sort?
>>2068223
He said things only God can say and did things only God can do.
>>2068223
Nice try heretic, the Lord did claim what He is and it has nothing to do with popery

Why don't animals deserve the right to not be slaughtered to be eaten? Can someone give me a good logical argument why it is acceptable to kill animals without consequence?
They are living, feeling animals like us and feel pain.
>>2067874
It's not a question of morals, most people just like to eat meat, and so there's a demand, and so that demand is met.
It would be wonderful if everyone was so self-conscious but that's not how humanity works.
>>2067897
Just give me a logical reason why it is not acceptable to hurt a human but it is for an animal (e.g. for food)
