>European states wage war and take eachothers lands for years
>no outrage
>Europeans take the land from some natives across the world
>outrage
Can someone explain this meme to me? Why are the natives so special?
>>2063997
Minorities use the most absurd cherry picked details while trying to hide others, in order to victimize themselves to get reperations, attention, and to bring the white man down.
>>2064003
This doesn't even apply solely to white men. Conquest was going around all over the world and even in tribal America. I'm just confused to why people got upset when natives got conquered by one specific force.
No but really, without God, how can there be such a thing as beauty?
If beauty is simply a subjective interpretation our brain makes through a chemical reaction, then it's worthless.
Surely, if you believe in beauty you must believe in God, or else be a nihilist who cannot enjoy anything because it isn't real; it's merely a strange connection your brain has made, and so at best intriguing but never moving.
Did I just find a route to God? I've always ultimately considered myself nihilist as the logical extension of atheism, but I cannot help but regard beauty as objective and innate.
You are coming close to Immanuel Kant's conclusions.
He hypothesized that contemplation of the beauty of nature is the harmonious freeplay between the intuition and understanding which results in a specific joy. This joy is most similar to the joy one experiences from fulfilling a purpose.
Eventually one day maybe we will know the purpose of all things, and the rationalization behind a belief in such teleology, and fully comprehend the beauty in nature.

Just because something is devoid of inherent meaning doesn't mean it can't be enjoyed.

what about poor people?
just let them suffer because they don't deserve material goods?
what if they just have really bad luck and their poverty is hardly even their fault
>>2084160
How about we give them opportunities to get out of poverty, rather than giving them gibs?
How can one ideology cause so much butthurt for 150 years now?
>>2082863
probably because it caused actual hurt (and death) for 150 years now
How has one ideology managed to fuck up so many times?
Given what you know of the 20th century would you participate in modern day socialist revolution? Can you blame people for being wary of it, even if they have a meme tier understanding of it?

How is morality objective?
The golden rule is based on the logic of human behavior. Logic is an abstract absolute which could be considered a form of objectivity.
Don't do to others what you don't want done to you.
If you break this rule you are a hypocrite and therefore illogical.
Simplified the golden rule just means don't do tings to people against their will.
Benevolence is another absolute ideal.
Have good will towards all universally.
>>2081513
ethical systems produce objective morality by pointing to the logical conclusions of presuppositions- much like math.
How did you find your religion, /his/?
>>2081294
How I wish I could believe, I love my trap doujins too much though
I was born into and to this day dismiss anything that runs contrary to it, of course.

I don't have a religion but I asked Jesus to gimme a hand and he sent a man to help me and that man gave me a Bible.

Does our modern romanticizing of knights have any basis in reality? Did peasant kids really dream of becoming one and take pride in being their squires? Did they ever do anything honorable or knightly?
Most modern concepts are wrong. You couldn't become a knight as a peasant, you had to be from a certain background, most were actually trained since childhood.. At their time they were basically the elite of both military and society. Keep in mind most armies of the early middle ages consisted of peasants with makeshift weapons, of course armoured and trained knights were a decisive factor in battles.
>>2076930
Knights were powerful and people are always attracted by power so squires almost certainly held their lieges in high esteem.
>>2076930
Knights were general a form of a caste system in those days. It symbolized a "House's Favor within a King's Domain". As Lineal Decent would wear the crown, the marriages arranged for either a treaty or of purity created a Social Structure based on the needs of the Defense (Or offensive) of a Kingdom.
Much like modern Society's, with the exception that our "Upper Class" has no notable values in the defense of the kingdom. Many have ties with a Leader, or a subject of area of field study, but they bear no courage in the face of battle, instead would manipulate the "Peasants" into taking arms in defense of their own house. Basically, They have no Honor, Prestige, or Virtue in the Defense of Any of their Creation, but instead rely upon others to defend their Grain Bin. ie. Trump and his "Million Dollar Loan", you will never see HIS children on the battlefield, because of his connections within Societies "Social Structure", However, This is what happens under the guise or "Veil" of a Democracy and not a Kingdom. They like to breed and have, but cannot respect what came before, sound familiar?
