Simple question. WIll an i7-7700k still work in a Gigabyte b250m?
I understand the B series cannot overclock but I would still be able to replace the motherboard in the future to something that can overclock correct?
>>62057749
Yes, but why don't you stop being cheap and buy a Z board. The only reason you get a 7700k is because you obviously don't give a shit about cost.
>>62057749
Don't buy placeholder parts
>>62057791
>>62057798
Problem is I already ordered the Motherboard and its outside its return date. Kinda stuck with it and so im finding the best CPU to work with intentions of upgrading
I heard that apollo and poweramp are the best android music players, is it true /g/?

>>62057723
That won't work. Don't be a fucking retard.
>>62057817
i don't see why it *wouldn't* all variables considered but it would be so easy to fuck it up that it would be retarded
What do you listen to while working lads?
https://youtu.be/6sIn9Sw7pB8
if i'm doing some project at home, anime and videogame music
if i'm at work, nothing. this hinders my productivity but people are retarded about music tastes (and i don't like what i work with anyway -- sysadmin -- so i don't really get too much into it)

How do you feel about laptops that has webcam below the screen, not above the screen?
I look bad enough on camera, far worse from below. But I use my laptop camera no more than once a year so it matters very little.
>>62057092
I don't use the camera, but I would prefer the bezel was on top so I don't grab the screen when opening the laptop
>>62057127
You actually reach under the "lid" to open?

Hasn't there been a leak out for a while or was that opera 11 or something
>>62057061
This is the version that was leaked.
Any luck with getting it to compile on Fedora 26?
I was fixing up this old laptop my parents gave me and after I cleaned it up and dusted it out the screen started acting weird pic related. How can I fix this. Did I just blow a connection lose or am I fucked. And yes I know this thing is a piece of junk I just want to play old games on it.
You might have loosened the ribbon cable carrying the video data to the display. Look up disassembly instructions for the laptop. Once you're down to the motherboard, you should see a ~1" wide ribbon cable coming from the bottom of the display toward a connector on the motherboard. (Check near the hinges.) You'll have to re-seat that cable into its connector on the motherboard.
It's also possible that the cable is damaged since they're pretty fragile and undergo a lot of movement. Let's just hope it's loose.
>>62056945
Yeah there shouldn't be any physical damage I'm going to have to look for opening instructions online cause I took out all the screws and still can open the bitch. I hope I just shook the connection loose even though a screen shouldn't be too expensive to replace. It looks fucked bUT there is no physical damage
I just wanna play xcom and fantasy general damn it :(
why are thinkpads so ugly
>>62056900
They were marketed to individuals who put functionality above anything else
>>62056900
Read the wiki you fucking retard.
>Where Macs are hipster Facebook machines, ThinkPads are virgin 4chan machines.
>These machines are anti-Macbook, ugly by conventional standards, and have a utilitarian bentobox design which appeals to business and enterprise users alike.
/g/, is there a point in learning mobile development this late in the game? Are these apps even selling or is the goal of mobile programmers to get a job developing apps for someone else?
Also, is it better to learn android or ios development? Which language and/or environment is the way to go these days?
It's not worth it for career purposes. However you might want to learn Android app programming on the side because there are lots of cheap old handsets and tablets on the market. If you ever get into electronics tinkering, they make great controls for your systems.
I'm making an http streaming audio player for personal use because the ones on the Play store are outdated and don't support metadata for my weeb online radios.
Useless for career purposes - learn web dev instead
>>62057301
>learn web dev instead
yeah, but web devs are fucking dime a dozen and coding camps are churning them out like there's no end.
When the fuck is Google going to have a new phone for their network? My Nexus 6 is taking such a shit on itself, it's barely usable anymore and I don't know what to do at this point. The Pixel is about as good as dogshit, and I don't want to switch networks...
Gonna have to wait for pixel 2.
>>62056648
In October but if the Pixel XL is not at least 5.7" I will buy the note 8 because fuck a 5.5" display.
>still going strong on my Nexus 4
HAHHAHAHA LOSER
Anyone here watched this?

This is the best password protocol. Anyone who suggests otherwise is lying
>>62056573
>this random string isn't random enough
>doesn't look random enough
You dumbass, you're actually making it less "good enough" by making it conform to bias. Random stuff is supposed to have an equal chance of looking "not random enough."
>>62056573
you pretend to do all that to throw off your opponents, but instead use "password"
