depends on the compatibility you want. obviously using web tech is going to be the easiest to run on different OS
Electron is a huge RAM hog... Open up Atom, Slack, Hyper (hey, some people use it) and suddenly all your RAM is gone.

The best option is to use Tcl/Tk or Qt for "native-ish".

Why are there so many iPhone users now?
I remember when Android dominated the market share. Now most of my friends and peers have iPhones
Idunno lol
Maybe because they aren't as expensive anymore.
People realize that Android OS is a fucking meme
>shit performance, even with twice the RAM & CPU power of an iphone
>not reliable like an iphone
>bloatware
>some apps like Snapchat have more features/work better on iPhone, while the Android version is a shitty port
>no iMessage
>Android flagships like Samsung are a fucking joke when it comes to the build of their phones compared to Apple
Apple has always hovered around 12-20% of the handset market share. It only seems like more because the non Apple/Samsung part of the market is split between dozens of device makers. So you're more likely to see an Apple or Samsung logo than any other.
Possibly add to that, the once strong Nokia and Blackberry segments have withered away, making the otherwise steady Apple segment look like it grew.

Fuck Apple.
For the love of all that is good Apple has not brought one thing good on the table since the iPhone 2g. Everything after the iPhone 2g are just memes.
>Samsung is going to remove the standard 3.5mm headphone jack from the Galaxy S8
>We’ve seen Apple take this step with the iPhone 7 as well as a handful of Chinese OEMs
And now Samshit is gonna just follow the bandwagon because Apple and a bunch of chink phone makers decided to do it.

My TV can't load external subtitles over DLNA (it's a 2014 Sony, and does it fine over USB, but whatever), so I decided that I am gonna make my own mkv remuxer. That is, take a subtitle file, SRT, ASS, etc, and the streams from an existing mkv(or other formats) and remux it on the fly to send over DLNA. Now, I was wondering whether you could point me to what needs to be done.(And if can it be done without tremendous effort). I know that I should probably make a plugin for Universal Media Server, but I am open to all kinds of suggestions. (I wouldn't mind someone pointing me to a plugin or an application which can do this already.)
Instead of having external subtitles (2001 much), why not just remux it into MKV file it belongs to anyway?
>>57890781
Well, that's fine for me, but most of the time I watch movies on the TV, I do it with other people who need subtitles in a language other than English.
>>57890838
You can remux as many subtitles into MKV as you want, and then select it from TV's or other player's menu.
I am in similar situation. Here is a remux I created for myself that has both Polish and English subtitles included. I can switch between subtitles whenever I want.
