Does anyone know how to program the most basic thing on here? All I want to do is write written simple directions, as in basically only letters.. I have the calc plugged up to the computer and the official app have a nice line by line programming area
My options for writing directions are angle, catalog, char, distribution, draw, finance, format, list, math, matrix, memory, mode, program, statistics, stat plots, table setup, test, variables, amd zoom. I can eliminate 80% of those for simply wanting to write instructions. I tried format and that is when I got a syntax error when I tried to execute.

You got the wrong fucking calculator if you want to actually program it.
Get the HP 50g. It has, objectively, the best programming environment of any graphing calculator.

> hey guys, how do I program on my calculator?
> hurr buy a new one
I was thinking of buying this used laptop but then I saw this pic related.
Is is a deal breaker ?

I thought you meant the centered trackpad
>>57919394
how does sheeet like that even happen lmao
Are you buying it to signal your status? Then it's a dealbreaker. You wouldn't want people to think you are below them, which you obviously would be if that corner is chipped.
Are you buying it as a tool to get work done? Be happy you have an angle to haggle the price down a bit.
Is you're computer conflict free?

I don't use a package manager, so the answer is no.
>>57919326
No because it has the embedded intel botnet so it conflicts with my freedoms.
I am an antiquated Web Forms developer. The sites I worked on are going away soon and I need to get my ass in gear and learn the following by the end of 2017, or I am fired:
TypeScript, AngularJS, Node.js, ASP MVC, MongoDB, Azure
What I currently know:
Raw JavaScript, C#, Web Forms, T-SQL
Anyone have any suggestions for a personal learning project I could work on that would incorporate TypeScript, AngularJS, Node.js, ASP MVC, MongoDB, and Azure all together?

just make a small project 3-4 times a week using those technologies and then throw it in the bin. That way you get used to the set up and environment very quickly. Then, when you're more experienced, try and set up an angular/typescript front end with node backend to make an in-browser chat client or something.

For all those non-NEET anons who work in some tech-related field:
>What does your average work day (when you actually need to do something) look like?
>What sorts of things do you need to do?
>Does it require a lot of creative thinking, or is it a paint-by-numbers sort of thing?
It doesn't matter if you're the lowest-of-the-low codemonkey, or a project lead for some safety-critical system of a large buisness.
I ask because I'm a second year Comp. Sci. student with almost no direction, no personal projects to my name, and a steadily growing lack of confidence.

I work as an IT technician. Most of my work involves basically dealing with Windows 7's shit (it breaks frequently, yet predictably), the rest of the time I'm in the warehouse repairing broken hardware. Fixing screens is the most difficult because my work uses all-in-one Lenovos, and the only way to the screen is through the chassis and motherboard.
How would i go about making a link(site?) that sends visiting users identifiable data(from browser agent to html5 canvas) to my email address? I know nothing about networking.

Literally what do they even gain by this?
Everywhere else in the world (except UK and Germany, probably) integrity is one of the stronger salepoints for any ISP. Why not in America?

Use TRON script from reddit if you muck up your OS. Real time protection is just a waste of resources unless you're a retard. Just search for a new one on ebay or amazon unless you're into chinkshit and can wait a month.

Hi 4chan, myself (an avid 4chan member) and a redditor teamed up to launch a Codecademy competitor called Hacksaw Academy (http://beta.hacksaw.academy/). We've been working with over 1,000 4chan community members over the past 6 months testing and we finally have something for you to devour.
Our goal is to give everyone a basic understanding of programming with interactive tutorials. To accomplish this we made the first course 100% free for everyone.
In this day and age higher education isn't always available to everyone. We've built Hacksaw to help people learn how to build useful apps, launch their own portfolios, and potentially one day get a job in the witchcraft that is known as programming.

Machine learning thread.
We had a lot of fun last time.
Let's discuss neural networks and neural network training accessories.
Should I learn Python or Scala for machine learning?
>>57918794
Assembly and python.
>>57918794
My personal suggestion would be python, because of keras, tensorflow and theano.
I literally started working with python because of NN libraries on it, I'm a perl users and have a great deal of negative bias against python - and so far I'm fairly satisfied with what I'm getting.
>>57918834
>Assembly
why
everyone memes about how the air conditioner is the most efficient thing etc. but they dont take into account that an AC tries to heat up the ENTIRE room while an electric heater just heats it's surrounding.
t. half-NEET that sits by a desk all day wearing a huge winter coat
P.S: don't take into account the cost of buying/assembling. i already have both and just wanna know which one wastes more electricity to make me feel warm.
>>57918767
>using an air conditioner to heat up rooms
that's the worst meme I've ever seen, 99% of the time one device that does both, can't do any of them properly
just use the heater
