What does /g/ think of web bloat?
For reference the "2012 website" is the same size as Crime and Punishment.
>>57921233
Web bloat isn't a real issue when HTTP supports gzip. Also, websockets allow requests to be aggregated and bundled eliminating the overhead in establishing and tearing down a new connection for every request.
>>57921250
Isn't this like saying "my cars not falling apart; it's held together with duct tape"?
Besides, unzipping and then rendering the page will likely erase any benefit from having a smaller size sent through the series of tubes.
>>57921250
Or just not send all the stuff in the first place, web dev.

>Apple is struggling to ensure that both AirPods receive a Bluetooth signal simultaneously, something that would help them avoid sudden connection dropouts.
Would Jobs have approved shipping an iPhone without headphone jack when the wireless earbuds aren't even close to being ready?
>>57921179
Apple is done for
>>57921179
should have called them airbuds, they would be a slam dunk

Why do i get more FPS when i turn the graphic settings up to ultra instead of having it set to medium for example?
>>57920688
Why do game companies hire “code artisans” to do their epik unity scripting instead of using an engine actually developed by engineers who know what they are doing?

Have you tried installing gentoo?
What should I make?
I know HTML5, CSS3, ES6, Babel, Beautifyjs, SASS, vim, and npm.

sounds like those knowledge areas would be prime candidates for making a website.
Hello /g/
This might not be the right board but I found no others what could help me.
I am looking for someone with electrical experience.
I bought an electric scooter and the next step in assembly would have been to insert the 30A fuse into the fuse box. Pic related of fuse.
However when i tried I had a huge spark and a bit of a shock.
I have another fuse since they came in pairs, should i try again or is it fucked for good?
why is it shocking you? Is it plugged in or on battery right now?
The fuse looks ok to me
They are like dirt cheap anyways
>>57920626
It has a 30V battery built in since its an electric scooter. I don't know why it had the spark since even the manual says that when it arrives its drained and i would need to charge it for like 8-10 hours. I haven't the slightest clue why it happened, even on the manual someone is putting it into the fuse box by hand.
I'm just afraid to try again.
>>57920659
sorry my mistake 36V, and what i meant if its not the fuse thats fucked for good but the batteries
Can someone please help me make (left) look like (right)?

Do you have the .NET framework installed on your computer?

I have Mono and .NET Core installed on my computer.
Yes, because of Steam games. I don't know which is which, so I didn't uninstall any of them.
Who here does tier 1 tech support? What is your day to day like?
I have an interview coming up for tier 1 at a web hosting company and need to know what I should study up on.
I do technical support for a financial software, and have done Tier 2 support for another financial software in the past. It really depends on what your product is, amd how it works. My current job is more challenging, but my last job was more frustrating. Ultimately, no matter what product you're going o be using, networking is going to have to happen. So look into how that works. That, and user permissions.
>>57920466
you should study the terrible life decisions that led you to a tier 1 tech support job
>>57920509
Neat, what parts were frustrating?
The company does web hosting, domain registration, etc.
>>57920547
Is it that bad? I already help tons of people online and family/friends with their tech issues for free
and enjoy it
