sup /g/
What would be a good, stripped down (or maybe lightweight is the right word) distro that I could install and customize myself from the bottom up? I like Arch's process of installing everything manually, but I do not feel competent enough in it's package manager, nor do I feel the need to use another package manager besides apt.

Any suggestions?

I was thinking more of a stable desktop distro. Puppy linux doesn't really seem like it, and like I said, I don't feel competent enough in linux to fuck around with LFS or Core. Sorry if that wasn't clear enough.

The same thing that pretty much always goes wrong with these SoCs, not open enough for the tinkerers, not powerful enough for the users.

Of course the second one is more the fault of shitty software than the hardware, but you can't change the cards you're dealt.

The CPU overheating and chinese versions breaking all the time.

Place got so full you couldn't move so I may have missed them desu.
Was disappointed in the lack of turntable sales. Most of the deals were microphones which was pointless to me.

Did anyone ever run a deleted file search on a brand new flash drive? I just found some weirdass files that apparently once were on a just freshly bought one. This file is among them:

Wtf is this? The files are deleted from the filesystem's point of view, but can be easily undeleted intact, the data itself still sits there. Could some malware in the flash drive's firmware access such "hidden" data on a seemingly empty flash drive to infect the OS it is connected to?

I don't quite think so. There's 7 files in total which all together are just a few megabytes in size, and their contents seem like gibberish when viewed in a hex editor (also have gibberish names). What normal user would keep such data on there?

Also, what do you mean by flashchips being recycled? Trying to salvage possibly working chips from discarded flash drives would seem like way too much hassle.
