I like these
thats from cave story ain't it
I give up.
I've put up 3 years with the stock cooling of my AMD CPU/APU, but now the cooler has gotten dusty and it makes noise louder than ever.
For a long time I used to think it was my GPU, but apparently after listening more carefully it's the shitty stock cooler that has been giving me earcancer for 3 years.
Now I want to buy a new cooler for the processor, and i would like to know which one is the best for the price of €15-25?
>>57924249
clean it, retard.
>>57924261
I will still make a lot of noise man.
I cleaned it multiple times and it would still fuck my ears but now it has become worse.
Is this good enough (Scythe Katana 4)?
Is there a program like this written for bash?

What video player should I be using? Haven't swapped from MPC since forever
Nothing wrong with mpc
You should use MPC.

Whatever the hell you want, as long as it's mpv.
Sup e-males.
I have a shitload of data on my pc. Mostly photos and videos since I do video as a hobby. That means, that I often dwell in less than reputable sources for obscure plugins and pirated software. How do I backup/keep data safe, if my main computer is probably infected every once in a while?
I purchased several external drives, and I'm wondering whats the correct way to start backing up everything without backing up spyware too.
One of my fav pics, unrelated.
>>57924076
>backing up everything without backing up spyware too.
you can't
enjoy your infected bits tho.
>>57924076
Get MEGA or ownCloud or a NAS or something. If you're worried about viruses infecting your external storage, just back it up often and don't connect the backups to your computer in any way. Back everything up as encrypted archives, disable executable permissions, and don't run any suspicous executables with your storage connected. But this is overkill, probably.
Alternatively, you could try something like sandboxie, or just Common Sense.

Decided to try GNOME. I like it. Sue me.

So the XPS 13 is on sale with a code from Dell. It's $250 off the 1080p model with 256GB with an i5, so only $880 with the tax. Should I just go for it, or keep the one I got from Amazon for $1200 with tax that has the 3000x2000 resolution.

I'm solving a problem of the sum of all even Fibonacci numbers bellow n. I do first in Julia, because it's seems to be easy to deal with large numbers. When I try rewrite in python, because the answer's submission is not available in Julia, I got another value. Someone can explain to me why I'm having this precision problem?i = 0
n = 400000000000000000
s = 0
while true
f = floor(golden^(i) / sqrt(5) + 1//2)
if f > n
break
end
s += f
i += 3
end
@printf("%d", s)
> 210098070363744768import sys
from math import pow, floor, sqrt
golden = (1 + sqrt(5)) / 2
n = 400000000000000000
s = 0
j = 3
while True:
f = floor(pow(golden, j) / sqrt(5) + 1/2)
j += 3
if f > n:
break
s += f
print(s)
> 210098070363745432
Floats get more coarse as they get larger, just use integers for your problem.
Here ya go
>Pic related
>>57923862
If I do with integer the answer lost its efficiency. The problem is time dependent.

Speaking on NSA's Tailored Access Operations:
"For the weapons programmers, we needed more 'think outside the box' types. And from cubicle to cubicle you'd see light sabres, tribbles, action figures, lots of aqua teen hunger force. This one guy, and they were mostly guys, liked to wear a yellow hooded cape and used a ton of gray legos to build a massive death star."

So I want to ask what's the "best" coding language, but that never ends well.
So, I have three real world questions for you /g/.
1. What is the most profitable (in the long run) coding language to learn?
2. What is the fastest coding language to learn from scratch and reliably land a job with?
3. What are the easiest and hardest languages to learn (even if they're only useful in a teaching environment)?
Do we at least have a consensus on these?
>>57923593
>python
>python
>python, python
>C for Operating systems
>C++ for fast applications/ can be used anywhere
>python Good for things that don't need to be fast like webdev
>coding language
Stop calling it that.
>1. What is the most profitable (in the long run) coding language to learn?
Whatever you can get good at.
>2. What is the fastest coding language to learn from scratch and reliably land a job with?
Python, I know Python and got a job earning more money than I could with my master degree in civil engineering.
>3. What are the easiest and hardest languages to learn (even if they're only useful in a teaching environment)?
Easiest is likely Python. Hardest language might be Brainfuck https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brainfuck
or whitespace https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whitespace_(programming_language)
Whitespace might be harder to debug.
