Clover works flawlessly over ARC Welder in Linux - what's your excuse now, desktop shitposters?
Does clover even use https? Can't find a setting for it...

>Want to buy an IPS monitor with fast response time
>All of them are directed at "gamers"
>look ugly as fuck
Why? Why can't I just have a normal sleek office monitor with an IPS panel, 1ms response time, and 144hz refresh rate? Why does it have to look like some weird alien object from fucking Mars?
This being said, what monitor does /g/ recommend? It has to be IPS
>>57928266
Id recommend that one. Its fantastic. You dont notice the base when you are using it.
>>57928266
>All of them are directed at "gamers"
What the fuck else are you planning to do with a gsync monitor you fucking retard?
>>57928266
barring IPS those are gamer features and marketed as such
can someone help my find different schematics for ps3 motherboards / internals
my problem : trying to fix broken ps3 because im bored and it was free. no standby light, attempt to boot results in triple beep and no standby light. determined it was psu, read that ribbon cables are typically the culprit, opened my ps3 up and there was no ribbon cable at all, different boards.
so i want to read up on the board i have to better diagnose it but cant find a schematic for a ps3 without a ribbon cable.
am i crazy?
>>57928038
Do you have a multi meter? Start by checking voltages.
did you find some kind of model number on the board? something with like Rev. # on it or something maybe you can google that.
if you already got it open, be sure to check all capacitors since those are the most likely to break, and moderately easy to replace. There might be some liquid or brown discoloration around them if they do, so easy to spot.
>>57928210
ya ive got a basic electronic repair/rework setup, ill go through the board but i cant even find an image of the board inside this ps3.
>>57928264
YES i definitely saw some discoloration / browning at the power switch board. so capacitors leak this brown substance out when they blow?
How do you archive your stuff, /g/?
Do you think it's safe to move everything to a file server with RAID array? What about offsite backups?
>>57928037
>RAID array
>server gets hacked
>all your data gone
ebin
>>57928037
RAID is not a backup, but a separate file server with RAID is a backup.
That out of the way, the best system would be multiple tiers of backups, each one being more secure, but less often updated and less accessible.
Something like the following:
>Hourly incremental backups to home file server
>Weekly encrypted backup full to cloud
>Monthly BD-R incremental/full (depending on budget) backups stored offsite
>Semi-annual M-Disk full backup, stored in safe deposit box
Guaranteed no data loss. If you're extra paranoid, write everything to M-Disk, seal it in multiple layers and bury it in an ammo can.

LTO is a remedy to all backups
Acer swift 3
>Kabylake i5 7200
>8 gb RAM
>Intel HD 620
>FHD 14" IPS
> ~10h battery with normal use
>full metal body
>costs less than 700$
The only problem I found was soldered RAM but I personally don't give a shit about that...

Should I learn and practice Go as a check box on my CV or does Go make you look like a novice to HR, kind of like listing PHP?
I know most other major languages.

Go is a meme lang
So my Logitech Z523 just arrived (bought it at FUCKING HALF PRICE on Black Friday).

Sounds good to me, though.
Hey, /g/. Not really sure if this is even appropriate for this board but I'm fucking lost.
I listen to Youtube in the background while playing games or messing around on the internet, and recently I'll get audio for an ad, only I can't find it. It doesn't stop either, and the only way I've found to make it stop is to open Task Manager and force shut down Chrome.
It's either some form of adware, or YT is seriously fucking up, because it even happens when a video is over and it's recommending other shit to watch, if left long enough.
I tried scanning my rig with
Malwarebytes
and it didn't find anything, and the antivirus I use didn't pick anything up either.
What do
pic unrelated
firefox tells you what tabs are playing audio
>>57927886
So does chrome, and it tells me no tabs are playing audio, which is why I think it might be adware.
Except it stops when I close chrome, so I come full circle and think it's just chrome/YT.
I'm at an impasse and am lost as fuck.

Daily TempleOS thread.
>>No streaming for days
>>Streams for 17 minutes
>>Gets upset that no one is watching
Maybe he should just lower the stream quality?
God is always watching.
Teach terry forth that will rile him up
>>57927697
He said something about using an i7 instead of his xeon as it crashes. Templeos probably maxes out his i7 and makes the stream choppy
These shillbuff speedtests make me cringe.
The 3T destroyed the iPhone in pretty much every app except for Lapse It and a few games. I would love to see a speedtest only with apps which are used daily like youtube, whatsapp etc.
Or atleast test the apps seperately and give points for each win.
brb gotta kms
>>57927686

You're gonna what, Kilt My Sweater?
>>57927701
well played anon, well played.
you say they make you cringe yet you used the term 'destroyed' like one of those people who watch these videos and masturbate to 1 second of difference while opening an app
I bought these. 1 in front and 1 back but they feel kinda weak.
did I make a mistake? at least they're not loud in idle. I dont care about loudness while gaming

Yeah teach them to code properly and in C so they don't fall for the "gurlz who kode" garbage
