Hey /fit/, /fat/ here.

So, after reading through a thread yesterday and getting advice from a few of you, I've pretty much decided that I'm going to get my shit in gear.

For reference, I'm 19 and I weight about 115kg (253 pounds, more or less). My main problem has always been motivation. I start doing shit and then I quit because I'm a dumbass and I get put off by the fact that I'm not seeing results instantly. My only real obstacles right now are the fact that I live on campus at university (and my room really only allows me to go as far as pushups, I couldn't get any lifting equipment here if I wanted). I know most of you would probably recommend going to the gym but unfortunately our great land of bong sucks £9,000 a year from me and the cheapest gym membership here is £180 a year, money which I don't have.

All I really wanna ask is, having considered all the shit I wrote, where do I start? I know that dieting is the main thing and that's gonna be a pain in the dick to go through with but I know it has to be done. What else? How much can I do in my Harry Potter-tier room to actually lose weight?

Does anyone have experience with fasting?

What method did you use and what were your results? Much muscle loss? Was the muscle loss worth the quick results?


Is is basically starving yourself for 24 hours a couple times a week?

I am 6'2, 106 kilos with decent lifts and muscle but a lot of fat.

I'd like to lose a good 10 kilos at least in a couple months. I can't really change my meals because my girlfriend is a gains goblin BUT she is Chinese and they are into the starving diets rather then changing the meals.

So this is my only option.

Ive been doing IF 17/5hr for the last three years. Basically skipping breakfast and eating lunch around 2-3 pm. Feels good as I have a lot clearer mind in the morning. I've done a bunch of labwork and I consitently have high HDL and low ldl. Low C- reactive protein too ...and other markers of inflamation. I feel that subtle improvements were more apparent the first year but at this point its just my baseline self. It helped me recover from a hiking injury (lmao i know) and I just started getting back on the gains train 3-4 months ago. Every now and then I do a big boy 24 hour fast and that shit is amazing, *euphoric*

My weight has remained constant at 75kg and I don't even count calories, just eat super clean.

Overall I would recommend it for a male...just making sure you that you have your good fats and quality protein covered. Fasting on a low fat diet is hormonal disaster.

My body is in between sexy skelleton and jacked, idk would post pic if anyone is interested.

I try to eat as healthy as possible but do not count my calories, a normal day looks like:
Breakfast:
Cheerios w/ whole milk
Banana
Black Coffee
Snack:
Turkey and cheese sandwich
Protien bar
Black coffee
Lunch:
Usually 6oz of chicken or some cheap fish
Rice/ lentils/ some type of complex carb
Broccoli and carrots
Protien shake w/ whole milk if I lifted that day
Dinner
Either repeat of lunch or
4 egg sandwhich with lunchmeat/ 6 egg scrambled eggs
Snack
Greek yogurt or cottage cheese
Peanut butter on a slice of toast
If I had to ball park the calories itd be around 3000-3500 calories.
Its not the most effective thing but I hate cutting and I just want to get stronger.

>was a cyclist and runner prior
>have 23'' thighs at 15% body fat
>came to fit and started getting interested in weightlifting
>thought I would be good at squats since it was definitely the most developed muscle group of my body starting out

I'm thinking of making my own pre workout using bulk powders. It would ensure that I'm paying for stuff that works and not useless fillers and it would be much cheaper than pre made supps.

My only concern is how to ensure that everything is evenly mixed. I don't want have things not be mixed properly and then end up accidentally taking 3000 milligrams of caffeine in one serving.

Is mixing the ingredients in a blender good enough or would I need to mix every serving individually to be safe?

This is where I got the idea. Omar just shakes it in a bag but I'm not sure how safe that is when stimulants are involved.
