Okay people.
Is the asian squat genetic or not?
Any white people who grew up in asia or whatever and can do it naturally?
I'm white and I can do it easily if I counterbalance with my arms out, but that doesn't really count.
And my other question, if I squat on the balls of my feet, will that effectively stretch my calves and Achilles until I can do the legit thing? because doing the counterbalance thing doesn't stretch my ankles at all, but squatting on the balls of my feet does.

Im Armenian and it came to me easily but i have always been flexible because of doing certain sports.
I think its a cultural thing. Most Asians get into sports like gymnastics or martial arts so they are very flexible growing up.
I can do it easily and I consider myself to have bad flexibility

I'm white and I could do it before I even started getting fit. It amazes me that people can be that inflexible.
>Watching a UK based fitness program

>Every single roider he interviews is atleast a head smaller than him
>Talk about a heart attack case caused by steroids
>Guy who roided and died was 5'2", was called "Lil Olly" by his 5'6" Mum
>Driven to roids by the sole fact that he was a manlet.
>Manlets have it rough
Are there any upsides to being a manlet? I'm 5'10" and hope to get to 6ft like my Dad before I stop growing, Being a small manlet seems fucking terrifying.
Also, what is with manlets and roids? Do they all have an inferiority complex which forces them into cycles or is there more to it?

Upsides? I can move faster than most people I know, I guess. Haven't considered doing roids, ever.

How on earth do those stubby legs makes you faster than most people you know?

Went from obese mode to 10% body fat for the first time. My face is leaning out beautifully and I'm realizing I might actually be good looking and have my pick of hot girls in a couple months.
How many of you have never been sub 10% like me?

I'm usually 9-11%, my body just burns through all the shit that i eat, it's shit for gaining weight quickly, but good in the long run, i guess
Anon, just how much did you lose?
I'm on the same path, getting my shit together, worried about loose skin and all that. Any advice?

A lifting routine would make him healthier, and would give him a hobby to enjoy for the rest of his life. What's the point you were trying to make? Lifting for girls? If so I'm sure he's pulling more than your faggot ass.

Why is sodium "so bad" for you? Just curious, I don't watch my sodium intake
Obligatory bae picture
>>35335584
Well you see, in the old days sodium was used as a preservative. Salt was basically a refrigerator. Now a days we have refrigerators and they work much better. Its not that sodium is bad for you, but you should be eating refrigerators instead
Sodium is an essential mineral that has a lot of effect on how your muscles function but too much of it leads to high blood pressure and associated heart problems. That's my understanding, anyway.

Who here has snapped their shit up?
I've got an unconfirmed but strongly likelihood of having a herniated disc in my lumbar spine (stretching makes symptoms worse, has not gotten better with ~2 months of rest/ice, etc).
I'm trying to figure out a recovery timeline for an athletic person. A lot of information out there is for elderly people.
pls respond
I pinched my sciatica a year and a half ago
/blog i've never been confident in lifting again. The nerve and my back acts up every once in awhile. The pain was so intense i could barely walk, and it kept on for months. I stopped lifting and got into golfing instead and just maintain a diet. Im not ripped anymore
>>35335423
You're not the only person to give such a bleak outlook.
Is it recommended that you completely stop lifting heavy weights?
I assume it happens to pro athletes and they have to go back to lifting weights/intense training cuz ya know, it's their job to be at peak physical condition at any given time. Or is their pain just masked with constant shots of steroids into the spot of inflammation?
>>35335423
Also, what finally allowed the area to calm down? I'm on a medrol pak and the sciatica symptoms are starting to fade.
Every prognosis (from multiple doctors) I've gotten has pretty much been "uhhh, it just gets better" by meds and PT that's supposed to encourage the spot to return to it's ideal position.
I'm trying to become a SoCal fireman just for the 'front of the newspaper' photo ops and Six figure income. (EMT, College educated, Clean Record, ACLS, PALS, PEARS, HazMat, Rope Tech Certs)
I'm currently undergoing a background investigation with the department (Already passed interview), if everything goes well, I will be in the fire academy in June/July.
What is the best way to get in the greatest shape possible for the fire academy? Would Army/Marine BT regimines be worth looking into? I'm confused since I know police academies are all just running and pushups, but Fire is running and pushups while carrying 80-100 lbs of PPE and equipment, while running up and down fire escapes and cutting line on hillsides. What is the best workout to maintain muh gains while building stamina/endurance?
>>35335364

it's ok, you get great retirement benefits if you work for them for over 20 or 30 fucking years
If I wrestle for my school 5-6 days a week for approximately 2.5 hours, if I wish to lose weight, will I still need to lift 3 times a week like the sticky says, or if I just keep a diet of 10-12*(calories) a day will I lose weight consistently?
and by lose weight, I mean lose a minimal amount of muscle at the same time. After all, I am wrestling.
I do Judo/Sambo Thrice a week with weight lifting. Personally, grappling does nothing for me weight wise. If you wanna lose weight, its 5% Exercise, 95% saying no to cookies and soda.
i like watching wrestling no homo
when will they learn?
>>35335346
>>35335346
I'll never learn. I'm 5'11" king of the manlets and I'll continue pushing forward. Always gaining strength, size, and income. All of mankind's endeavors are pointless, so why would I let my height be the factor to finally break my will. I have to be strong for my fellow manlets.

un/fit/ newfag here. Can someone explain the benefits of weightlifting vs. body workouts?
>>35335210
Weight lifting is like bodyweight but better in every way
You already can't do push ups because you weight too many kilos
Your better off bench pressing/squatting a bar and progressively adding weight
>>35335210
weights make you all big and bulky
body weights make you all lean and athletic
So basically, do you want to move heavy things? or have form and function
