If SL is a fullbody program wheree you work all your muscles 3x week how come:
You row once or twice a week, Meaning on workout A you dont even use your lats.
You Bench once or twice a week meaning on workout A you dont use chest. Inb4 : >OHP Is a chest exercise

1. At beginner level you don't even need accessories.

2. Deadlift hits your back hard. If your form is right, your lats are doing heavy ass work to stabilize shoulders.

3. It is not even needed to hit chest 3x a week directly. Actually it would be worse, because you would not be able to recover enough to hit it as hard as you should to be able to progress. And OHP uses same pressing muscles with a different distribution, making it an excellent variation. When you get that bench up to +100kg, then start to add accessories if you want.

But remember, that if you don't like the program, then don't do it. You should enjoy this stuff. But don't think that you know better than pple with years and years of experience under their belt.

That's why you do assistance exercises, everytime I go to my gym everyone is fighting for space on with dumbells everywhere, nobody really comes near the power rack, so faggots can stay with their dumballs and split whatever they want. I have made real good progress and have put around 3 kg in just over a month. To 65kg... I weighted 60kg just after I came out of hospital, but I need to go back for an op so before that I wanna get to 68 or even 70kg...I have maybe another month and a half...stop being a faggot and lift.
I really really like how simple SL is, suits me and Im seeing results. I love deadlifting in front of normie gym goers

How much fat/carbs do I need daily? I know that protein should be like .8g per lb right? I want to have the best diet possible since I'll be training for a amateur boxing tournament in like June. I will be doing lot of cardio and fuck load of strength/endurance throughout the upcoming months.

Do you guys do OHP with olympic bars or some regular lightweight bars?
Because I see people who aim for 1pl8 OHP, which would be 2x20kg = 40kg, which seems pretty lightweight.

40kg + 20kg olympic bar = 60kg, and that would be rather a good milestone.

So what exactly 1pl8 OHP means?

Pretty much this. All this "Just do it" shit is nonsense. If you don't like what you're doing, you might stick with it for a few years at most, when it should be something to do for your whole life. Not everyone needs to pull 300kg from the floor, find an activity you enjoy or find a way to enjoy an activity you don't.

I hated going to the gym because it would cost me hours of the day, there was shitty music and everything was far apart. I've changed to a home gym setup and now I can lift naked while putting jazz music on blast, record all my lifts and walk around in between sets without having to worry about anyone judging me.

Also start with baby steps, most of the quitters can't wait to put a lot of weight on the bar and then never develop decent form and quit because they stall. Have fun and be humble about your goals at first, you won't be fit in a month or two.

Hey Fit. Recently started Intermittent Fasting about 3 or so weeks ago. Heard it from many websites, etc. Specifically a guy named Greg O' Gallagher or Kinobody as hes called on youtube. Just looking for some opinions on Intermittent Fasting. It seems legit but would love to hear feedback. Currently trying to drop weight and tone a bit.

Intermittent fasting is just an easier way of calorie restricting for some people. at the end of the day it's calories in/calories out. count your calories and watch your macros, use an app and it's super easy, thats all you need. that being said, in my personal experience i find it much easier to deal with the hunger of caloric deficit when skipping breakfast and drinking coffee all morning instead.

Alright, total /fit/ newfag hear, but I need some help, some suggestions, some motivation; anything.
I want to learn Muay Thai. I already have sessions lined up with a coach and everything, so that aspect is fine. The thing is, I'm not in the best shape. I'm decent, not unhealthy or overweight, but I don't really work out. What I want from you guys is any suggestions as to how to get into it. Workout routines I should be doing, a certain mindset I should have, anything. I don't think I'll be getting supplements or any of that just yet, but I can feel motivation and I really want this for myself. It will raise my self confidence a bit and I think my girlfriend could really go for it.
Anything helps, thanks.
