Let's put memes aside for once, and tell me /fit/ what do you really think of this guy? I started to unironically watch his new videos lately, and he seems like a smart business man

Best cure for cold/flu without going to the doctor??
Wait
The cold/flu is a virus.
The doctor won't help.
What is science.
>>36744564
Flu and cold are both viral. Docs can't help you. Only bacterial infections like strep throat can be helped by antibiotics.
I'm gonna take up swimming, because my knee is fucked, and I've been un/fit/ as fuck for the past year due to starting an intense office job.
Never swam competitively or anything, so no real idea of how to train myself doing it. Anything like Couch to 5k exist for it?
>>36742493
Starting Swims + GOMAD
>>36742594
I should take the milk just before getting in the pool, right?
>>36742493
Honestly Op, was high school swimmer and the coach never had couch to 5k type deal. The most important part of swimming is form so make sure you are swimming correctly. After your form is decent try and work up your DPS. This means distance per stroke and is the most vital thing in swimming. If you can get 25y or 25m in 18-19 strokes every time then your stroke and kick are decent. But as far as actual swimming goes I'd recommend a basic pattern like this.
1st day- Warm up is 50Y or M swim then 50 y or m k then IM. If your not completely dead at this point try just swimming freestyle until exhaustion.
Day 2. Warm up should just be kicking until you really cant anymore so maybe about 200m. Afterwards try working on breath work. This can be done by trying to do 25 m and only breath x times. Do this a few times and combine it with x strokes per 25m and then freestyle till failure. Do this alternating until you can do day 2 on no breaths and under 16 strokes per 25. Then just ramp up day one's intensity as you go. Hope I helped.
How do i get my dogbro ripped?
Is there a Starting Dog Strength or something?
Why do you want a strong dog? They're annoying pieces of shit to deal with, just get a little cute bugger and be fucking happy

Stupid fast metabolism - eat over 3000 calories/day with little to no weight gain.
Want to start lifting to bulk up and gain strength but I'm worried that I wont be able to eat enough to sustain growth, since at the moment I'm gorging myself and sitting on my ass all day and remain at around 8% body fat
Anyone else built like me that can offer advice?
Can I make gains at my current caloric intake, or will I just be spinning my wheels in place?
You're counting calories wrong.
>>36747109
Eat more. If youre not gaining eat more. I too have a really fast metabolism and have bulked as high as 5000cal. Ive thrown up more from over eating than I have drinking.
Man up.
drink your calories
you don't even need to bother with a mass gainer
7 cups of milk = mass gainer so just spread it out over the day
>>36747118
also this and stop being a bitch
I do 5-3-1 back-squats + 5x10 front squats on Tuesday
and then 5-3-1 front squats + 5x10 back-squats on the Friday.
Do you think this guy would be made that i dropped deadlifts out his routine? I don't compete in powerlifting so there's no reason for me to deadlift + I personally believe back squats and front squats are actually functional and applicable to real world.
>>36746677
>Do you think this guy would be made
mad*
>>36746677
who gives a shit if he's mad
>>36746695
I don't.
I forgot to mention I also do 5x10 Stiff-Leg DL's after the 5-3-1 + 5x10 squats, so im still getting hamstring focused work in.
What does /fit/ think of this workout plan?
My friend and I are trying to start getting in better shape while at college.

Looks great OP, but maybe you should lift too
>starting on a split
Pic unrelated
>tfw ended up doing only 7 reps per set
7 reps does nothing. wasted a set

Good job OP

Are there any alternatives to squat when your gym only has smith machines? Going to another gym is not an option.
you can get someone to spot you
>>36746055
I don't think you understand me, anon.
I can't do squats because the only barbells are fixed on machines. As in no free weights.
>>36746043
Bodyweight squats
Goblet Squats
Fuck you could even improvise cable squats if you were that desperate
>he fell for the breakfest cereal meme
>>36746028
>tfw i haven't ate cereal in years because the macro profile is absolutely shitty
i can't even justify cheating on cereal because it aint worth it brah. 2 sugary bowls, 100 carbs gone and im still hungry

Remember this guy from the other day? He claims 5'7 and 90kg.
I bet he would look aesthetic if he actually cut down to 70-75kg.
Daily reminder: Cutting > Bulking.

This is what ss does to you....
So, I've been going to the gym for over 2 years now, built up my numbers from being able to not lift the bar to a decent 1/2/3/4 while improving other aspects of my fitness such as being able to do proper pushups, pullups, chinups, etc.
Anyway, about a month ago one of my neighbors comes to the house with a six pack and asks me for help to move his piano and load into the truck, I think to myself that this should be pretty straight forward since there's three of us moving the piano. As we are loading it into the truck, I felt something in my back snapping and I instantly became worried. We loaded the piano, drank the six pack and I went home.
Over the next few days I felt intense cramping in my back and severe muscular pain, after 5 days or so I finally went to the ER where they gave me some heavy painkillers and medicine to reduce the swelling thinking that it was merely a muscular problem.
The pain continued and after a week I had a followup appointment with the doctor who requested an X-ray (fun fact: you have to get an enema before you do an x-ray of your spine) and my worst fears were confirmed; a slight case of thoracic scoliosis (pic kind of related)
Long story short, doctor says I can't lift anything heavy for the next six months. I've already paid for my gym membership so I'm at a loss as to what to do, I'll probably take up running or spinning but what can I do to make sure I mantain my mass without losing too much other than eating right and perhaps doing some HIIT?
>>36744845
>one of my neighbors comes to the house with a six pack and asks me for help to move his piano and load into the truck
Haha, you actually bothered helping your neighbour. Well deserved. Should've stayed inside.
>>36744845
I have mild scoliosis and I've never had a doctor tell me "don't lift or exercise". It's been an inconvenience here and there but really nothing major.
I think you're over-hyping this disorder. Maybe you just have a really shitty version of it?
How did you fuck up OP? I too have 'slight scoliosis,' or so I've been told. I'm also a full-time mover, and I move pianos every week, as well as other heavy shit like fridges, gunsafes, hide-a-bed couches, all kinds of shit. Never once has my 'slight scoliosis' been an issue
