My 1 rep max right now is only 225 and its embarressing, whats a good beginner program to get it up as fast as possible?

hey /fit/ have you ever run a half marathon? What was your workout and running training?

I'm planning to run one in 3 or 4 months. Currently running 3 km, 3-4 times a week, push ups and pull ups after every run.
What should I focus my progress on, endurance on larger distances or lowering the time per km?

Ran a half last September. I didn't have any kind of structured training though. I just tried to run 3 times a week, one 5k, one 10k, one 15k.

The race itself went well until I started cramping 18k in. Ended up with 1h50.

So, I'd say definitely focus in endurance, and don't worry about speed yet. You'll see the progress really easily with long slow runs

I have no structured training, I just try to run once every two or sometime three days for about 14k.
Every so often I decide to run 21k, especially after I've eaten too much for my cut.
My advice is to listen to your body, and if you are unable to run 21k then training yourself to reach that distance is more important than getting a good time.

Was wonder how I could recycle my period blood?

Vegan here, I realized it wouldn't be animal suffering if it's my own blood so I was thinking maybe cook vegetables with it to get optimal protein or maybe mix with tomato sauce?

Any other uses for my lady sauce?

Hello im new to fitness and ive scimmed through the 4chan /fit/ wiki and got a few questions.

will my muscle grow undivided or un-aesthetic if i do these exercises only?

Bar not counted with weight. but i think its like 15-20kg.

5x8 squat 15-20kg
5x8 benchpress 15-20kg
and a lot of crunches with weight and without.

this once every 2/3 days and on rest days cardio with rowing device and crunches

It's all I do and think about.
I started lifting 2 months ago, already lost 10 pounds, my biceps are bigger and I'm already lifting almost 50% more then when I started.
I'm 6'0" and 175. I was 185 when I started.

Any one else have trouble focusing on other things? I feel like I have to superset all my daily activities with some sort of weights or push ups.
I can't even sleep properly cause all I'm thinking about is working out.

Got the fitness tests for the police next week, seems I have to get at least level 9 on the bleep test plus some other things. Anyone know how strenuous this is? Also anyone done these tests before?

I've only been to a gym for like 2 months and that was last year. I was thinking of doing this one I found from reddit but doing pplrpplrpplr as I'm just a noob. I am wondering if this is okay as it is not 6 days a week but I figured the same muscles would be hit within a 5 day period. It's just that I feel as a beginner I'd need a days rest between leg and pull.

Stop overthinking where exactly you plan in your rest days; just make sure you go 6 times per week if you are going to be doing such a routine.

or even better yet, choose a routine which is more suited for your current fitness level. You won't be progressing any faster by doing a routine you are not ready for and burning yourself out.

Other than that, the routine seems alright. A bit too much focus on arms for my liking (I'd want to focus on hitting other muscle groups more extensively), but to each his own, I guess.

Eh. The only problem I see are the deadlifts, but it's not like you do mad volume on those anyway. Personally, I could easily recover from that enough to not have it excessively affect my other leg lifts the day after.

Then again, like I said. If you cannot handle the volume you probably shouldn't be doing this in the first place.

How do i work out?

I weigh just above 200 pounds but i don't have any muscles at all. I have done close to nothing for my whole life. Except for the short walk to school/train I generally just sit by my computer. Then a few months ago I tried to start working out because I realize I will have some major health issues on my hands I don't, however, even the lightest workout i could imagine ruined my back for 2 months.

My first priority is to build some muscle, I don't really care about losing weight just yet. How do i start working out?

I need help /fit/

Since I started my new warehouse job I feel like I've been withering away

I'm losing lbs every day even though i'm trying to bulk. My job includes putting boxes of stuff into big trucks and I have to do it at a fast pace so it's important I lift everything correctly and don't fuck up my back.

But I feel like i'm burning a shitload of calories doing this and my lunch breaks are so short and i'm eating my meals so fast i'm almost choking on them. I got one more 10 minute break I eat a clif bar or protein shake on. But it's not enough

What do you recommend me to eat? It gotta be something small but still packed with calories
