I've been lifting for one month. I have also been eating a ton. About 300-350 more calories than usual. I've definitely noticed strength gains. But for some reason I have lost weight. I've lost about 4 pounds since I've started lifting. I wasn't even able to bench lmao 1pl811!! but now I'm able to bench 150 at 3-4 reps and 50's on the dumbell press. This doesn't make sense to me. Am I doing something wrong? My goal weight is 180-185 in a year. I'm currently 170 at 5'10.

I think it's time I abandoned squats for good. I've been lifting 1.5 years and in that time I've only managed to squat 180lbs for reps and given myself two hernias getting there.
I just dont' understand what the problem is. My other lifts have gone up as you'd expect: OHP 135 BP 225 DL 350.
I'm not even seeing any hypetrophy in my quads or ass even though I'm squatting 3x weekly. The ROI on the movement has been almost nil, and the time and effort I expend doing it can be better spent elsewhere, like lunges or hip thrusts.
Any thoughts? I think joocy quads just aren't in the cards for me.

Should I do zerchers or hack squats first. Zerchers feel more intensive in terms of movement but I do substantially less weight. Is there an advantage to doing one before the other.
