>>37485728
shut the fuck up and no it won't you will spend months learning technique first and still have mediocre lifts after months. stop this meme.
t. i do it
>>37485728
Wat
Can you convey the correct squatting technique/philosophy in one paragraph? I still can't get it right
sit down
>>37485515
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-8gsWZqDBM
I think the biggest mistake some people make when they can't figure out the squat at all, is that they haven't understood that you're supposed to sit down BETWEEN your legs rather than on top of them. Your body should sort of slide down like a hammock between your thighs.
Practice that.
You can do quadruped rocking (Google it) to find out what stance is best for you.
And add an anterior load (goblet squat for example) to make it easier to keep a somewhat upright torso in the beginning.
All-time best forearm builder?
What about bitch wrist
Can I fix that?
>>37485216
Attach heavy weight to your waist
Get on a stood or chair or some hit under a pullup bar
Do the reverse motion for a pullup and hold it for 3 seconds downward
Do as many reps as you can before you feel like dying. Do this enough and your forearms as well as your lats and bis will blow the fuck up.
I can do 3x6 dips now at 73kg (161lbs), I want to start adding weight, is it acceptable to bring a cheap draw string bag with me and throw a 5kg plate in and wear it during dips? How smaller weight increments can I use?
>>37485196
*5x6
>>37485196
>lifting plug
Subtle
>>37485196
>I can do 3x6 dips now at 73kg (161lbs), I want to start adding weight
Don't, for crying out loud. When you can bang out 20 consecutive perfect, deep reps, THEN it makes sense to add weight. Trying to add weight just for the sake of adding weight is a distraction that gets you nowhere except snap city.
Am I gonna make it, guys?
>>37485195
Wait is this overhand or mixed grip I am confused
>>37485195
No excuses, huh
>>37485195
no that fucking lumbar overextension will destroy you
I feel pain in my crotch whenever I squat, always on the right leg...I feel like I'll snap my shit up soon. Am I squatting with poor form or is it lack of mobility?
Probably an issue of form, especially if you feel like you're putting more effort into one leg than the other on your way up.
The parts in which some people have mobility problems are the achilles tendon and the hamstrings, your groin's flexibility isn't overexerted in any way during a squat, unless you do sumos or something.
>>37485191
its ur hip flexor
problem is ur mobility, try stretching ur hix flexors. google that shit and do it.
it will only get worse over time.
had the same problem in the past and it took weeks to fully recover because I kept pushing my squat without solving this problem first.
>>37485214
I'll try to check if I've been leaning to the side.
>>37485237
Did you keep squatting while you were stretching?
Will exercise help me keep my beauty as I grow old?
With proper diet, good sleep, avoidance of cigarette smoking, yes
>>37485275
Why good sleep?

>ITT we rate our fav tasting protein powders
* BSN Syntha 6 Vanilla Ice Cream - bruh, this is so sweet and ice creamy, it got 200 calories doe
* Effectiv Whey Chocolate Peanut butter - THIS IS MY SHIT, they dialed this flavour IN also only 120 calories a serving
* ON Gold Standard Extreme Milk Chocolate - A reliable protein tastes like chocolate milk with a small water to protein ratio
>>37485118
I started buying the unflavoured stuff and putting a dash of sugar-free coffee creamer in it. Then I can buy ten pounds of it at bulk price and not get bored of it.
>>37485159
I put a few scoops of cocoa in my powder to make it taste chocolatier.
>>37485118
HOL UP
Any of you niggers tried MIXING different protein powders? I got a 5.5lb bag of vanilla from myprotein for $25 and I still have that chocolate decadent thing also from myprotein (which I also got for $25)
I have never tried vanilla of any brand.
Alright, so I feel this is gonna be a long ass post so if you feel very altruistic and magnanimous today please read this trough and help a guy who is thinking about getting big and strong.
So I've never been in shape or fit. Neither have I've been extremely fat. I've always been around my BMI(?)(IMC in Spanish) but lately I've been thinking about getting some muscles and in shape lately and so I came here because I don't know where else to go and I really hope you anons are kind enough to guide me. I don't even know if what you guys preach here works or not but I literally don't know where else to start.
I tried going to the gym a couple months ago but after a month I stopped because it was expensive and I felt no difference in my life except that I was lifting a little more weight and I had less time in my day.
I don't have a diet. I eat mostly what I can find. I think I have a fast metabolism because I've been eating everything I wanted all my life and never paid the consequences.
As I said I wanted to get in shape so I went here and read the sticky but it left me with a couple of questions in my head.
1- ¿What do I do to lift train if I can't go to a gym? As I said, the one here is very expensive and I don't think I could afford going.
2- ¿What diet should I follow if I want to get big and strong? I guess there are some online but the majority of them are stupidly specific and complex for me to follow.
I think those are my 2 primary concerns. If you guys can answer me and maybe give some advices on a starter I would like to start getting into shape. I was thinking about doing the sticky "Rippetoe's Starting Strength revisited "
If needed I'm an 18 yo soontobe 19 boy around my BMI with little to zero muscles.
Thank you indivually in advance, I feel lost and seeing as how some people here claim to be making progress and encouraging one another I felt like you guys could help me out.
>>37485098
Read the sticky you blazing faggot. Go to a gym. Count your macros.
>>37485230
Wheew thanks. You even read the post?
>>37485254
I did. My answer hasn't changed.
Anyone know how the fuck I get ride of these little red bumps on my upper arms? I've tried exfoliating and using lotion with lactic acid in it which supposedly works, but neither of those things work. Please help.
>>37485050
THAT'S what your worried about?
>>37485066
I don't need smart-ass comments. Just started lifting a few months ago and I know I'll make it.
>>37485050
if the bumps are hard then it's keratosis

If JK Simmons can easily get ripped at 61, why can't you do so?
Seriously though, how much is he on? and what is he taking?
Age was not kind to his face

>If JK Simmons can easily get ripped at 61, why can't you do so?
I don't have access to roids
>>37484983
>I don't have access to roids
You have internet
Are protein bars a meme? I just ate one after lifting.
I use them as meal replacements on cuts. Just tried a quest bar for the first time today, pretty good macros by the looks of it and really quite tasty and filling. I'm lazy, autistic and I can afford them, so they suit me well.
>>37484568
Im eating slightly over maintenance and I've decided to start using them. Would it also just be better to take one with me rather than just chugging a memetein shake before work?
>>37484669
I would say it doesn't matter
>Hiii, I-I heard you white guys are so muscular, can I see your abs please?
>>37484360
how fucking autistic do you have to be to think that people in the real world talk like this
dude, go outside

Sure is pic related in here
Do you push yourselves to the limit at gym?
I started going to gym with my 2 friends last week. One is strongfat doing mostly abs and arms workout, other one is skelly who does only isolation arms exercises during entire duration. He will do like 15 different exercises for shoulders, bi's tri's. I am doing SS. Everytime we go I am finished first. It takes around 1 hour to be done with everything.
(I never take more than 10 minutes with one exercise).
But when I come to them and ask how much they have they just tell me im fucking skinny as fuck and i should work out most of us all and they literally train to such exhaustion that they are not able to lift bottles to their mouths to drink after training. Meanwhile I'm progressing my SS, (went from 50kg squat to 65, deadlift 50 to 80, bench 30 to 40). I thought this was good progress for 5 sessions? But after each workout im nowhere near as tired as they are. Are they right? Should I workout I cannot anymore?
>>37484096
Stay the course, pal.
>>37484096
you should train heavy
>>37484197
What does that mean? I am training heavy, I'm lifting as heavy weight as I can, but do I have to do endless repetitions until im wasted?
