As a beginner, is 5x5 a good routine or should I just do something else? I've been lifting for about three months and i've made some gains with a "normal" routine (nothing even remotely imlressive but better than when I began), is 5x5 the way to go to get muscle mass as a n0ob or is it just for strength?

I'm giving blood tomorrow and worried about how it'll affect my workout performance. Last time I did I hadn't ate or drank much water and passed out from squeezing the ball so dang hard, and I felt weaker at the gym. Will it happen again? Is there anything I can do to try to keep my gains?

If you are cutting its probably worth giving the diet a miss for a day and carbing up so you dont pass out, especially if you work out after you give blood. Get some simple carbs for after you give blood, you should be fine.

I have been going to my uni at opening to avoid obnoxious crowds, frat boys taking hours rotating on one piece of equipment, and not having to deal with equipment left all over the place. Of course, its never than simple. About three weeks ago this dude starts coming in the morning. Here are my observations:
