Anybody here have negative effects from long term use of legal, prescribed stims, specifically Vyvanse? When I first take my dosage in the A.M. I'm fearful having a heart attack while doing /fit/ activities after the first few hours of consumption.

Hey /fit/izens, ive been going to the gym for more than a year now and i seem to be having problems when doing dips. Everytime i do a rep i feel my chest being terribly compressed. Ive tried different bars and my form seems to be good according to everyone ive ever asked. What is the explaination for this pain in my chest? How can i start going ham on dips¿

Don't let your elbows flare out and don't go much lower than parallel (90° angle with arms). Maybe you're not strong enough or lack flexibility.
In young people they can put too much pressure on their chest bones which are not 100% "sticked" yet.

ive been hitting the gym 6 times a week for 4 months
and ive heard that every 3 months you should get a week off gym

If you're sick, then yes, take some time off.
It's a deload pal. Yeah, sounds like you should take this opportunity and take a week at home, or at the most go and do some moderate lifting (60% of usual).
This will give your muscles, ligaments, tendons and CNS a well deserved rest. I find after a deload (and a take a full week off rather than going in and reducing weight) I find my lifting easier and have more motivation, and soon have increases in most of my lifts

i guess IIFYM is okay to a point, as long as 90% of your actual diet still consists of whole grains, lean meats and alot of veggies most days. I personally avoid eating alfredo sauces, and if i do pasta at all its typically sprouted grain or brown rice pasta. Literally me until I stopped worrying about it so much and finally accepted the reality of natty cutting.
The gods honest truth is that you will look worse as a natty cutting until the very moment your cut is over, then you suddenly look 10x better.
The hardest part is getting through the mental barrier of cutting all the fat off while looking like you're losing all your hard earned muscle.
Best advice I could give to any natty who is cutting.......literally do not look at yourself in the mirror at all until the end of your cut, doing so will only cause you to want to go back to bulking, because YOU WILL look WORSE until the cut is over.
