Hi Fit.

I'm a former hamplanet, lost 110lbs, but recently gained back 30lbs from going back to my old ways. I'm a bad binge eater when I'm not strictly controlling my diet, and recently (last 3 or so months) I've found it harder than normal (like the prior 18 months) to be strict. When I binge eat, I typically go for a large variety of junk food, I seem to rationalise it by telling myself it'll be the last time I binge so I should eat all sorts to get it out of my system. I'm sure by now you all know fat people's minds are warped... Anyway, whenever I attempt to eat on a simple deficit I end up binging.

Anyway, dumb shit usually works for me, so I came up with eating nothing but oats with milk for the short term. I can eat as much as I want, but only those two ingredients. I know this sounds dumb as fuck, but think about it. To eat the exact same thing as much as I want, I'm quickly going to get sick of it and eat less, and once my appetite begins to be curbed, I will count calories and eat clean like I did to lose the initial 110lbs.

Originally I did IF, eating only once a day, that's what kicked off my original success, I've tried it several times in the last few weeks, but I've gotten to the point where eating a day's worth of clean meals is less than one of three of my daily binges, so I'm ravenous (which is almost entirely emotional, not physical hunger.)

To be completely honest, I'm going to do it anyway, I just want to know what you guys think. Like I said, weird shit works for me, I'm more determined to make something work the more fucked it is. I'll update you guys in a week or so with how fantastically it failed.

Been on fit 4 years, dropped 110, maintained for a long time, then went slack. whether it's dumb or not, I'm going to do it purely for the sake of curiosity, you don't think it'll be interesting to see what happens?

And don't start pretending you're a Vulcan and only do what's logical. there's enough people on fit that say to do one thing whilst doing the opposite.

My most beloved /fit/ what personal trainer apps do you use/recommend?

What I'm looking for:
Input of your lifted load for each excersize seperatly - progress mapping.
Automaticly adusting your workout plan according to performance.
I want the app to tell me how many reps and sets i should do with X weight.
Should time my resting.

Tldr: I want a app that could completly replace a personal trainer and force me to lift heavier.
When i need a spot i will just think of you guys helping me lift.

I have the same problem as OP. Started doing SL but then I kind of grew tired of not progressing with it and wanted to change to Greyskull LP but the SL app is pretty gud. Is there any apps which share the same ease of use, set counter and auto-timer and snappy interface that the Stronglifts-app has but with more customization?

Hi /fit/,

I've been doing the Reg Park 5x5 for about 4 months and have got considerably stronger.

My training (3 times a week of lifting) has been almost completely uninterrupted during this time period.

I am going to be travelling to New Zealand for about 10 days in a few weeks and I don't want to lose my gains while I'm gone.

Since I will be on the road, I won't have access to weights. Is there a bodyweight program I can do during this period to maintain my strength? What would you guys recommend?

I need some medical advice and don't know where else to ask.

I have an h pylori, which I guess ain't too big a deal but Better to treat it then have the possibility of increased risk of stomach cancer lol


A couple months ago I was treated for it with a Combo of 2 antibiotics, and Omeprazole. (Anti were amoxcillin and clairhtromocyn...)
And that shit sucked. The omeprazole elevated my heart rate above 100 which made me feel anxious and constantly feel shitty and the antibiotics wrecked my stomach and basically, shitting became an ordeal during the treatment.

So I stick with it and finish it, couple months later or About 2 weeks ago I got a biopsy done. And The Gastroenterologist confirmed that H pylori infection was still there.

She said we had to do treatment. I voiced my concerns about the omeprazole and all other PPIs she said basically " I'm a specialist fuck, you ," and she prescribed me anxiety meds. Now I ain't taking anxiety meds cuz fuck that also I really don't think I have that much stress or over anxious

So I think the docs, are just trying to get some of that sweet pharma money. And anything that I search online comes up with inconclusive answers and ranging from Omeprazole is the devil to, Omeprazole cures cancer.

I know antibiotics are the important part. So i will keep taking em, but is the omeprazole worth it? I'm taking em again and my heartrate is thru the roof even when I'm lying down!

TL/DR
Is omeprazole needed to help eradicate an H pylori infection?

Yeah that sucks. Best you don't stop taking meds like that once you started. That's how people develop antibiotic resistant infections.

Keep taking the pills, schedule another appointment. Keep complaining until they switch it.

Do you count your calories ?
If not, start doing so. In most apps there is a tab with the quantity of vitamins, protéines , ..., you ate that day. Eat enough protéines powder to make sure you fill the protein part to 100%.

but anything above 1g/kg is actually considered high and will do the job. If you cant get this much protein from your diet you are doing something wrong.. but if protein powder is an easier meal for you to have and the price is right its not necessarily a bad thing.
