All right. If you're a committed runner or cardiofag in general, tell me this:

I haven't exercised for something like one year. I finally hopped onto the treadmill yesterday and again tonight. In 40 minutes I ran 4 miles. How bad is that? Obviously I can go at a faster speed than 10 minutes per mile but I can't really hold it over a long distance.

Lastly: if you know of people who started in my position, what's a reasonable amount of time to get to even 8 minutes per mile (assuming long distance/consistently)? In other words, what kind of progress can I expect from doing this about 5 days per week?

Howdy friend. I do 4 miles on the treadmill in a little under 28 minutes. I would start off by doing 5ks (about 3 miles) for a month or two and work on getting your time down and then move up to longer distances. I would focus more on getting a constant pace than just extending the time out.

2) gather all the money you have, stuff some clothes into a backpack and just start moving. buy a plane ticket, bus ticket, or just start walking. you have 100% freedom to do whatever the fuck you want, no family, friends, anyone to hold you back

I can run 2,4km in 19 minutes, i have to improve my time to at least 11 minutes in 6 weeks. What is the best way to do this?

I was thinking of running 3 days a week, and bicycling 3 other days a week, to spare my shins and avoid getting shin splints, as i am very prone to it. Also going on a cut meanwhile, i'm at about 15-17% BF.

Instead of waiting I jogged lightly and I pushed myself hard, as an example I jogged at around 6-7mph and ran at around 15-16mph or levels which ever it is, pretty sure its mph.

I've made up my mind /fit/, I quit /fa/ and I quit starving myself. I read the sticky and going to join a gym tomorrow

The thing is my metabolism is absolutely fucked, is there a way to fix it? Any info graphs on cooking would be great too

I posted earlier today that metabolism is a mechanism of diet and exercise. A lean, clean diet will help promote eating many smaller meals throughout the day.

A regular exercise program will create the oven that burns the fuel you feed your body in those meals throughout the day.

Think of metabolism as a gigantic steam engine train. They take a while to get going. Once they are going, they don't take too much to increase their speed as long as you keep feeding them fuel (the right fuel). Just keep in mind that the more fuel you intend to feed, the more work you need to build up to.

This is roughly how it works, and yes, everyone's body is completely different. Start visiting /fit/ in the AM, also.

I listened to /fit/s advice and drank a large cup of coffee with a couple table spoons of coconut oil on an empty stomach before my workout

I've been shitting for the past 5 hours
I've been shitting so much that it's just pure green liquid, I think it's stomach acid. My ass burns as if there's a candle under it.
Anything I eat or drink makes it worse. I'm feeling dizzy and light headed.

What do I do
