Leg presses with a higher incline than "normal ones".... you're shooting for about 45 degrees, many leg presses are only 30 degrees.
Put your feet high and wide.... near the corners...
Have no weight on the sled... relax your hips (do not brake with your knees, only your butt), and let the sled slide until your groin and hips feel the stretch... you might even grab the top of the sled and pull it toward you a little...
Now--- pushing up, you must "pull with your ankles" again -- do not push with your knees.
Once you feel kind of stretched,,,, try it with a 25 lbs plate per side.

at first its about technique, gotta swing a bit. Jump forward past the bar, then rotate your forearms 180. Make sure you spend as little time as possible in the transition until your palms are facing downwards and you're in frontal dip position. Then just do a normal dip, swing back and swing into another muscle up.
muscle ups hit several of your upper body muscles so I guess you would train them by doing muscle ups. when you're strong enough you can do true muscle ups where there is no swing and you go 0 to 100 from directly under the bar.

/fit/, do any of you have elderly relatives with mental issues who struggle to make you food but keep trying anyway?
I live with my grandmother who is developing serious memory issues (probably the start of dementia).
Every day she insists on making me lunch for work. She doesn't have much hand control and can't really make anything so she just throws a bunch of shit into a tub and hops I eat it.
Its disgusting and I feel bad because I often have to throw it away. I don't want to insult her. Do you have any experience helping elderly, weak people learn to cook? I would teach her to make couscous with a kettle but she might burn herself.

Why should I do deadlifts? I always se DYELS deadliftin 4-5 plates with absolutely shit backs.

You don't have to do any one exercise.
Deadlifts make your posterior chain stronger if done correctly but they won't give you a godlike physique, and they can and will fuck you up if you ego-lift.
Obviously if you are a powerlifter or a strongman you will have to deadlift. But unless you actively compete in either of those sports you don't have to deadlift.
Do exercises you like, try to fix imbalances and pay less attention to what other people are doing.
