I am in a frickin plateau. I am a 21 yr old female, 5'9 and weigh 70kgs. You could define myself as 'skinny fat'. And I also have quite wide hips in comparison to my waist which I think is genetic. I run a lot and have for many years but recently found out it isn't that great for the body type I want. For the past few months, I have been vegetarian and I try to eat mainly plants so my fibre has dramatically increased. Nonetheless, I only eat 1200 a day (for about a month now, was 1800 previously). I use myfitnesspal to track everything that goes in my mouth (I try my best to be perfect but when in doubt I over estimate so I would actually be eating less than it says). I've only now just started up some girlie booty body exercises like BBG. The thing is, I am VERY impatient. My weight has not budged in almost 6 months to a year. So, I want to try and kick start it with intermittent fasting or the 5-2 diet. They sound great from what I have read so far.

Do you weigh your food? You should. Something isn't accurate. Another thing to try is adding exercise even just walking. Fitbit or another step counter. Try to just meet a step goal every day to add to your deficit. Just don't eat them back. At least not more than half.
there is no way you're eating 1200 calories and not losing weight. you're either lying or you're not counting accurately enough. you're not defying the laws of thermodynamics, so you're either doing something wrong, or you're just not doing it.

Read the sticky. Also there's no natural way of speeding up muscle growth, it's mostly determined by genetics. So use steroids or prepare to commit for at least 3 months of going to the gym if you want to see a change.
That being said, you probably shouldn't focus only on your delts. You should work your entire upper body (with a focus on delts).

Because ther s no reason not to when there had been no evidence to suggest that a diet that have a good balance of meats and vegetables shortens life span in any realistic way compared to vegetarian or vegan diets. Most anti-meat diets use extremes to argue against meat.
