Guys, I'm afraid I'm getting into lifting for all the wrong reasons. I'm doing it for girls, mostly, and I'm afraid that it's not gonna work out in the long run (losing motivation, etc). Is it stupid of me to lift for girls? Is it a phase?

It's a choice. The reason we say you shouldn't lift for girls is because it's a factor beyond your control, girls flake and cheat, love comes and goes, relationships wax and wane. But gains will never go away if you put the work in because it's entirely in your control, and there's a definite security in that.
Personally I lift because I want to make up for my lost time as a teen. I didn't do anything but play games and masturbate, was never social, never had a gf, remained permanently skinnyfat.

There are so many calory tracking apps but literally, every single one of them comes with a shitty guide, a " goal weight", a "breakfast-dinner-lunch-snack of the day" shit.
All I'm looking for is an app that lets me add x food with custom calories and show me how much cal I took when I consumed y amount of it. It's just so simple but for all the apps on the market it seems complicated as fuck.

I remember not being able to curl an ez curl bar and it took me months to be able to deadlift semi correctly with 1pl8.
Besides ego lifting, what is the point of using equipment to raise your lifts? Eg. Belts, Bench Bra, straps. You might as well have your buddy help you with the weight. I don't fucking get it.
I use hook-grip things because I got sick of my hands burning every-time I did extremely heavy pulls or high rep pulls. It just helps me continue on focusing on contraction of the muscle. I've definitely noticed a difference in my back and hamstrings due to using them. I always had a problem hitting high volume for my pulling lifts until I started using them due to the skin on my hands burning.
I don't use any other kind of gear though, I've never really found anything else besides the hook-grips to really do anything.
It would be pretty retarded to not progress on deadlifts if grip is the only limiting factor.
Never used the bench sling shot but apparently it allows you to overload the top part of the lift and only assists on the bottom, allowing for training of lockout with more weight.
Belts give you something to brace against and actually have been shown to increased abdominal activation during lifts. Also, more weight, more gains.
