If that doesn't work, then I would suggest a snake rather than a chemical, but that's just me.

I have a dishwasher that does the same thing: when it flushes out all the water, the sink it's connected to backs up for 20 seconds or so.
It still goes down tho, because my drain isn't clogged.

You used the correct connection, I assume? Basically an upside down "Y"? If so, like anon said, snake out the drain, or check the p-trap and replace/clean if blocked.

was it working before? was it already clogged? if so for how long?

snake is the way to go

resting toolboxes on their side is stoooooopid. everything gets shoved to one side and you have to spend 3 minutes reorganizing it every time.

This guy goes against the grain of what I always assumed to be the right way to do it.

1.) 1 thin coat, followed by 2 thick ass coats.

2.) Dry for 2+ days. This causes shrinkage and "orange-peeling"

3.) Spray on clear coat.

4.) Wait a few more days.

5.) Sand down with fine-grit paper.

6.) Apply Meguire's Ultimate Compound (a car wax/polish), and buff the shit out of it.

7.) Instant, super shiny, professional-looking surface.


Am I just making it harder than it should be?

I definitely want to have a high-gloss result when I'm finished. Not just for the aesthetic quality, but to have a force field to protect the paint underneath.

So I assume it's:

1.) Sand object until it's a smooth, flat surface.
2.) Clean with soap and water, mineral spirits, anti-fungal cleaner to prevent mold from ever appearing under the layers of paint.
3.) Spray primer
4.) Wet sand in between primer coats (?)
5.) Wait for it dry.
6.) Wipe clean with soapy water, and wipe with tack cloth to rid any settling dust.
7.) Spray with gloss colors. Multiple coats.
8.) Wait til dry.
9.) Sand gloss away with very fine grit paper
10.) Apply Gloss spray all over. Light coats over the course of a couple of days.
11.) ?????
12.) Profit.

I have problems with rustoleum too, whenever I do more than 2 coats (at proper recoat time) of enamel, the fucker never dries fully.
I have something I painted a year ago that's still got a tacky consistency.

Finest steel wool you can get and a 9v battery.

this is for light finish sanding... what are you trying to do with it? if your trying to remove a shitton of old paint, or smooth down extremely screwed up surfaces then this will probably not be enough... maybe look into a belt sander with some 80 grit..

I'm using it as a finishing sander. Tried it on a dozen things and had the same result.

Used it with 600 grit and water to reduce orange peel on a freshly varnished table top.

Used it dry with 320 grit to finish another coffee table before staining.

Even tried with 1500 and 2000 grit wet to color sand my truck.

Don't push down so hard? The weight of the tool is almost enough to do the work.

Or get some more strength in your arms. I haven't used one of those in years because I bought an orbital, but it doesn't jump around at all. If I push it hard enough that it binds and would jump, it just stalls because my arm is stronger than its little motor.

My main job duties involve 3D printing but thats not really the part I like, it's the design work (I'm studying mechanical engineering). If you are only going to be printing things, you will be extremely bored 90% of the time because you go through the process of setting up and starting the print, then you sit there and wait for it to be done. Unless you have 10+ printers, you won't stay busy.

Honestly, 3d printing is pretty boring when everything is working.

When things aren't working you have to figure out whats up and change it, but after you get things dialed in that's kinda rare.

When things are working you just click print and make sure the first layer goes down right and then check back in on it a couple hours later.

I think I could live with that because I'd be doing the design work too and I figure I'd be able to justify a massively overspecced computer in the budget for 'designing at work' (his setup budget is 4 times the cost of the printer + a separate budget for filament) so I can also do some CGI on the side, which is a hobby of mine but is sometimes called upon for promotional videos (the last one landed me a 4K prosumer camcorder for production that was mine to keep by way of payment).

Just returned a portable AC because it took up a ton of room. I have a small apt. It also was extremely weak and basically sucked in its own hot air from the exhaust tube that goes out the window.
I habe two windows. One over my sink. So the exhaust tube was in the way and my AC unit was in the middle of my tiny kitchen.
The other in my bedroom is next to my bed which cant be moved. So it wont work.

Spider plants, philodendrans, mother-in-law tongue, parlor ivy, and parlor palms all do very well inside.

I have a philodendran my grandmother gave me when I got my first apartment. It started out as three 6 or 8 inch vines.

Twenty years later I have hundreds of feet of vines wrapping around my living room, kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom and basement.

Spring, summer, fall, winter my house is a stable level of humidity.

I've also noticed that the air quality is amazing. When I've painted, or stained anything in the kitchen the smell is gone much quicker in the house than if I do it in my garage. When i painted four years ago the paint smell was gone from the house days before the garage was clear.

My philos are awesome I water them about every other week and they thrive. The ones in the bathroom don't even have a pot. They're just loose vines hanging from hooks around the perimeter of the ceiling. They also grow the fastest from the skylight. The pot was cut away during a remodel and the vines were left in place to die. Still waiting six years on for that to happen.

What kind of processes do you guys use to make PCBs?

I want to make a guitar pedal, and think it would be great to make the PCB too.

I have a 3d printer. Should I mount a marking pen on it and plot it out? Then use acid to dissolve the traces?

Should I mount a dremel to it and mill the traces out?

Is there a better way?

Once a relay starts sticking, is it toast?
Maybe my problem isnt the relay at all

In the repair manual it says that problem is caused by relay 2 not closing and to replace the control board.
I cant find a board to replace it if I want so im gonna try and fix it.

I unsoldered both relays, both normally open relays
Relay 2 works as it should when I bench test it
Relay 1 was stuck closed when I initially tested it with just multimeter. It also seemed like there was something loose jiggling inside.
When I put power to relay 1, it made kind of a weird noise, I checked and the poles were closed.
After I took away the power away, the poles opened up. It works perfectly now, bench testing it. It also isnt jiggling inside

The control board isnt burnt smelling. There are no obvious signs of heating, no obvious signs of a failed component.

Does that sound like a failed relay?
If I put this relay back in, will it just stick again?
It was a huge pain in the ass to get the board out. And I cant find anywhere but Aliexpress to get the relay, suck to wait 30 days for it.
