Use google you useless faggot

Why the fuck do all the fags on 4chan either think or refer to everything as a redpill. Do you think watching youtube or reading a book is getting redpilled?
Where can I buy or make a surface will balls embedded in it to roll around? I need it so I can glue one side to an object I want to freely roll across the floor. It has to be very small, like an inch or 2. Like pic related
P.S. This is indeed a dire emergency but It's not necessary to explain. I hope you're motivated to reply. Thank you.
>>1022013
and if not balls, then wheels. I need it to roll forward in 1 direction but balls are a lot easier at this scale (1-2 inches)
this? 1.625 in height

I need it to fit in my mouth. That's too big and also the surface area is too small, I need a sheet with lots of balls so that it covers a wider area (like the tongue)
anyone who have repainted rooms damaged by kid drawings know how to deal with repainting over dyed marker?
these tenant's kids used some sort of strong marker that when I paint over it, it dyes the white paint orange. I've tried two coats of paint and it dyed right through both times, and I tried adding a third layer of plaster, plaster got dyed orange too.
Should I give up and just try to clean the marker dye (if so, any recommended cleaning products?) or should I use a special paint that is impervious to marker dyes.
I'm thinking maybe covering it up with drywall tape and plaster over it, but that's like a last resort as it is a lot of work.
Any suggestions?
>>1021965
Try alcohol to take the ink off. If that doesn't work try acetone. If that doesn't work try mineral spirits or xylene.
A couple of good coats of primer before the actual paint usually covers it up pretty well though.
>>1021967
Okay, I'll try the primer first.
Thanks.
>>1021965
for any non-new wall it is 2 coats of oil based primer (kilz) or one to two coats of shellac based

Hey /diy/. My bank recently decided that they needed to replace my debit card for one with an RFID chip, because "MORE SECURE". Anyone know any ways to shield a wallet from RFID scanners? I use a leather trifold that I've had for like 10 years, so I don't want to replace it, but it's just not very secure when it comes to RFID shit.
Wrap the card in foil or buy a new wallet or even card 'envelope' on ebay
You are right to be cautious - rfids are easily scanned with kit from China that costs less than $100

I have 2 dozen empty beer bottles that I wanted to do something artistic with, and thought about breaking them up and doing a 3D, stained-glass sculpture (it would not be cathedral-window pretty but that's kinda the point). Does anyone have experience making stained glass? I read up on the topic and materials should be easy to come by (solder, copper tape etc.).
Question is - is it even possible to do a (small size) 3D sculpture with this method? Or would it be easier to bind the broken glass by some other method, like hot glue? Or is it not even possible without proper expensive gear?
the glass is curved
good luck making anything but a stained glass beer bottle without a furnace
>>1020350
What if I get pieces that are small enough, so their surface is relatively less curved, and the sculpture has lots of contours to work with? Just an idea.

If you have the means to heat it to a softened state, you could put it on a metal plate to relax and flatten out.

hi fellow diy/ers
I`ve posted a while ago about my automatic distiller project. it was not much of hype, just a couple of people commented and I got no useful advise. obviously my project is not sparking curiosity and I blame no one. anyway I promised to update on the progress and I am updating. everything works. I am happy. pic related.
now, gentlemen, I have a question. how can I insulate all the thing because it`s radiating heat and getting needed temperature like forever.
thanks
I like your project.
At the risk of sounding ghetto, aluminium foil?

This is pretty much how it's done on a lab scale. Usually wrapping the distillation head (the y-shaped bit above the flask) is sufficient.
Hey /diy/, I bought my first drill press and could use some help, its this one. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013UQBXYW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Basically I've gotten it assembled fine but I can't figure out how to mount the drill bits to the piece that holds them or to mount the drill bit holder (sorry don't know correct name) to the drill press. I can see the well I use the included key with the gear on it the clamps within the drill bit holder move slightly inwards but nowhere near enough to hold anything but a massive drill bit. Any help is greatly appreciated. I bought it to mill an 80% lower so pic is semi related
>>1019376
You arent being very clear at all.
The drill bit holder is a chuck
The chuck opens with the key
You spin it, the jaws open and close.
You put the bits in the jaws and close it tight
Chucks are taper mount so you just press fit them
To mount your chuck to the drill press, you open the chuck all the way so the jaws are retracted
Stick the chuck onto the tapered shaft sticking out of the drill press.
Then just hit upward on the chuck with a mallet.
It wont fall off
>>1019380
Thanks m8
Push the Chuck up into the barrel with a firm solid blow.
Use a rubber or wooden mallet to strike the chuck up into the spindle.
It's called a Morse fit chuck which is tapered and works under friction.

Memes aside, how do I deal with this shit? I can't put the desk anywhere else but it looks awful, nevermind shit falling through the gap.

Did you try setting it to Wombo?

Just stick something under the right front leg so the desktop tilts back and touches the wall. Not that hard really.
Hello /diy/,
I am crafting a car to make it a mobile shelter.
The thing need to be as comfy as possible, but the car is a small van so it will be such a challenge.
What do you think of that arrangement ? Any tips/ideas ?
I have already put flooring on the floor and started the desk yet, using some dirty hacks as you'll see in pictures.
One part of the desk is folding, and it hold with some cabinet closure hinges to hold.
You also need to know that i have a very few money and i use mainly recovered material from old furnitures that peoples trash.
Also some specific question, the planks i used for the desk to show a dirty cut in the edge (i'll post pictures), how can i make it look better ?
the dirty cut
some thing that holds the desk
some dirty hack to make the post that hold the desk longer
I've got this light bulb hanging from my ceiling by some wires like a dirty pleb and I need your help to figure out an interesting way to cover it up. I have lots of DIY experience and many resources to make this happen.
Just leave it; it looks metal as fuck.
just go get a goddamn ceiling fixture from lowes or home depot you nonce
there are literally 43 ceiling fixtures less than 15 dollars on the lowes website. fuck off and come back with a brain.
give me your address, please
Long story short I'm making a clay pipe and I'm planning on dying it in my blood. No I'm not a psychotic feminist dying shit in menstrual blood, I have a hyper sensitive nose that bleeds a lot. I want to dye a pipe in the blood and call it the "Blood Pipe".
Second question; Is modeling clay a good material to make a pipe from. If not I can buy some other clay but I just had this on hand and didn't know if it would be toxic to smoke from.
holy shit you're autistic. however I'm mildly interested because I'm also looking for a material to make pieps out of... wood seems like the clear choice but idk what type of wood since I tried some cheap ass plyboard laying around but that just snapped in my pocket after one or two uses...
also is there any way to mask the smell? the smell of burnt tobbaco that is
>>1023625
When I make something I care for it. As you would put a part of yourself (semen) into your child I want to put a part of myself into my pipe. Maybe it's just a sentimental or artistic ideal but I feel as though it would complete the pipe.
>>1023632
>As you would put a part of yourself (semen) into your child
I mean semen to conceive the child.
Movie props anyone?

>>1023579
from which version? the 80s or the new feminist one? doesnt look like an 80s version and it looks bigger than it should be
>>1023599
It is most definitely an original pack to scale! Not from the trash remake. Its a hero build from ghostbusters 2.
So I woke up this morning and started cleaning. I noticed my wooden futon rack was broken and half the seat was dragging on the floor.
I wanted to fix this with the least amount of money and quickly as possible because it's my only day off in 2 weeks.
First I tried screwing a plastic elbow from previous furniture into the wood and when I put weight on it, it snapped.
I went into town and with $2.59 in my pocket, I got some steel elbows and a steel bracket.
I don't own a drill so my next plan was to use a hammr/nail as a drill and then screw the elbows in.
The nail was too short but I said fuck it.
Top bracket installed.
Bottom bracket was a bit harder because fucked up and smashed the nail...but it secured the elbow! So I left it there.
Now with no nail, I had to secure the last bracket on. I sacrificed an extra jewelers screwdriver and made the last too holes (too shallow) and onto the final stretch.
I needed a nut with a cotter key attachment so the futon and freely move. But I don't even have a nut.
Zip tie!
Mission accomplished. And it holds all 180 pounds of me without breaking.
What's my score, /diy/?
