I don't know dude, about repairs, take something easy to take apart and clean it, like a Super Nintendo controller, then slowly go for more complex stuff. If you are looking to learn how to make stuff, just find something you think is cool, like knifes for example, and go make some, watch how-to youtube videos and tutorials. Some tools I would recomend for general pourposes are: protection glasses, an angle grinder, a dremel, files, sandpaper, 10 minute epoxy glue, a drill and lots of scrap parts.

at your age i was in the same situation. get a screwdriver and take things apart. what would you like to do?
- electronics? go look for kits at aliexpress and get whatever strikes your fancy and the basic tools you'll need. cheap soldering iron and solder, some snips. buy the cheapest stuff, if you'll like it you'll soon figure out which things you'll need.
- wood stuff? get some wood, make a box, look for tutorials.
- music? take apart a guitar, an amp, whatever you get your hands on.

- go to a flea market/garage sale, get anything you want to know about take it apart, google it.

i understand you'd like to know everything at once, but you'll soon find stuff that will interest you more that other things, you'll find what you'll find more fun to learn more about. if you don't know what you want, try to get the cheapest shit, tools... at that age you can't afford to go for quality whey you're asking a question like this.

You can underpower drivers and not hurt them. They just wont get as loud as they are capable of. Its not a flat scale though. A driver designed for 3 amps wont sound 1/3rd as loud if you only give it 1 amp. It will probably sound quite a bit softer compared to a 3 amp power source and the same volume level.

I've got a set of 125 watt speakers and they sound great even though my amp only puts out 75 watts a channel. The amp gives them what it can and they take it because they are a passive device. They aren't like electronics or something. Where you can blow up your power supply if you put a device with a 3 amp draw on a 1 amp source.

I notice it is pretty much off on port and not budged from starboard.

Remove all cleats and other auxiliaries if they are bolted or screwed on.

The hull doesn't have to be built symmetrically.

Grab a friend and let him do the gentle prying and you then feel along the starboard side while he is "massaging" it and you will feel where the fiber glass is flexing due to resistance.

It could also just be that the cap is on fucking tight and you need to pry from the other side.

Drill a small hole in to the bottom of each stick. Place the stick vertical on a flat piece of wood. Use a screw to go from the bottom of the wood, through the flat surface, and in to the bottom of the drum stick.

Take a flathead screwdriver and tap it lightly with a hammer until it makes a dent in the screw head, then unscrew it.

Wire wheel would be faster
An angle grinder would be more appropriate than a drill
Sand paper flapper wheel or ball wpuld also work.
Just some sandpaper
acetone or some other solvent depends entirely on what they painted it with.

Use a paint scraper to take off anything loose, paint over the rest.

Judging from the pic, I'd suspect that is not just paint and your husband removed the loose texture sprayed on the ceiling.
The texture around the vent may become loose due to humidity / condensation associated with the cold air.
If the ceiling was textured before painting you'll need to apply a matching texture to the bare area before repainting.
You should also try to make the repairs with an irregular line relative to the rest of the ceiling.
A rectangle repair will be more obvious.

You need to watch where you get your pallets
A lot of them have some pretty awful chemicals on them
if you get them from places that ship food on them you should be pretty safe

This guy is right, however pallets have specific stamps on them that indicate how they were made/where they're from. You just want the one's that aren't chemically treated, which are easy to find if you can read the codes

Most pallets will be strong enough for what you have in mind, as has been stated by >>1015606 and >>1015650 you should try to get pallets that are as clean as possible, not knowing you location I can only tell you what works for me, I typically look for free pallets in industrial areas, some big box stores will also have pallet "graveyards" just ask, another tip I can give you is to look for places that have large machinery deliveries as these will often be made on oversized pallets, and check out places that have shipments of steel as the wooden baulks they use under the loads tend to be made of dense heavy hardwoods, I've found some rather exotic woods this way.

Also if you're not familiar with patterns, they generally make suggestions for what fabric to use as a liner. Typically the fur is the liner for this type of hat, but you're flipping it for aesthetics. I'd line it in a flannel I think.
