What the fuck I love rice now.

>Rice
The preferred nutrition of tiny Asian people with micro penis. Enjoy.
>>9289544
r u saying that i have a tiny babydick because i eat a lot of rice???
>>9289537
Most of that money is Japan and South Korea dolling out ridiculous amount of money to extremely conservative voter base in traditional rice farming regions.
The rice subsidy situation there is much worse than the corn or cotton subsidy situation in the U.S.
What youtube/video courses can I passively watch to see someone going from how to boil an egg properly to competent cook... I can cook but I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of basic nuances just to get my dish done, so I'm constantly second-guessing my own methods
>>9289512
Why don't you search youtube/Google and report back to us
>>9289524
that's the thing, there's hundreds of them, was wondering what you guys used

I learnt from my mum and trial and error
Or is my girlfriend tripping I can't find any evidence
Pic unrelated
Hey /ck/
I'm currently rebuilding my family cabin up in the North (pic related) and I need recipe ideas taking into consideration many limitations.
>Stuff has to keep a long time, we go downtown only once or twice a month.
>very limited space in our propane fridge & freezer (literally less than 2 cubic feet of freezer space)
>quick prep time since we spend our days doing hard labor and don't have much time or energy left
>must be calorie and protein rich
>no electric appliances
BONUS POINTS FOR
>meals that are made entirely from shelf stuff
>lunch ideas that can be eaten on the go
>meals that include a wide variety of veggies
>BEANS, RICE and other dried stuff
Fire away and blow my mind /ck/, only YOU can do this!
>>9289450
Get dry goods that will keep a long time without refrigeration (beans, rice, lentils, etc.)
Dry spices, bullion cubes, etc, to add flavor.
Canned food is a given.
Old-fashioned cured meats (ham, bacon, etc.) can be stored for a long time at room temperature.
Is your cabin in a somewhat remote area so that you can supplement your food by hunting and/or fishing?
>>9289488
Fishing is accessible and easygoing after a hard day's work, hunting & trapping is possible but too time consuming...
Hare and fowl is abundant here...
>>9289488
Not much to improve on here, other than to say that you should use close to 100% of your freezer space for meats (you will be able to get more lb/ft^2 with ground meats), and use a good portion of your fridge space for fresh mostly green vegetables and maybe fruits. They may not be as calorie rich, but if you don't have some roughage in you diet you'll regret it when it comes time to take a shit.
Fat fucks BTFO
care to share this """"""research"""""" with the rest of us
>>9289250
Well if you go to vox.com and look for that particular article, you too can find the link to said """""research""""" of which you desire
This is related to that "artificial sweeteners make you crave more/aren't satisfying" stuff, right? I've never had that problem with them but what do I know, the science is settled :^)

Its easy to make in 5 days.
I prefer jerky made in a dehydrator.
I've had Jack Links Beef Jerky, which is American and better
I love dry meat, have to specify meat because it's usua lot horse or donkey or bull in my country. so good.
Is there such a thing as artisan white bread?
I've had "white bread" from bakeries, but none were nowhere near as soft as the stuff you get at grocery stores.
>>9289134
Sure, any bakery worth of the name should have it. "Pullman loaf" is a common name.
>>nowhere near as soft
You say that like extreme softness is a good thing.
if you have to ask this question, then you should just go back to >>reddit. /ck/ is for people who already know something about food
>>9289134
Oh Jesus Drive-By Christ. What do you think artisan means OP?

I'm going to have to go with this. OP shutting the fuck up is my favorite drink.
What's a good use for these when you have an excess of them after eating your Taco Bell meal?
>>9289078
On everything. I've heard of people collecting enough to refill old sauce bottles but you can just buy them now.
>>9289078
I've only ever used them for one thing other than Taco Bell and it was great:
Cut an avocado in half, salt the avocado, and empty a packet or two into the avocado halves. Delicious.
>>9289078
Personally I like to use them as hot sauce for my food.
Hey, /ck/, I'm planning to buy my first set of knives and am wondering whats the best place to go to get a quality set.
Also, I've heard that any reputable store will let you try the knifes out in the back with cheap vegetables.
>>9288956
Sets are for fags. Buy one, maybe two quality knives to start off and mix it up from there. Brand loyalty doesn't apply to knives really, you'll need a bit of everything. Grab something at your skill level and move on from there.
A block is nice to have though, or a wall magnet.
>>9288964
this, just pick up a decent knife from a restaurant supply store, or if you don't mind sharpening shit everytime you use it, pickup a couple of kiwi knives from the asian market, they're dirt cheap. the kiwis are great for develping your knife skills and learning how to properly sharpening without having to risk ruining a good knife
>>9288964
2nding this. You don't need a set. You need:
1) A chef's knife, santoku, or chinese cook's knife (whichever you prefer)
2) A serrated knife for bread
3) Tools for sharpening.
I'm going to the most legit asian supermarket I was able to find in chinatown in a couple hours, what should I get? I usually get:
- interesting ramen packets
- frozen dumplings
- frozen pork buns
- mochi
- baby bok choy
Basic I know but it makes for an easy rice cooker/steamer dinner for a few nights before I run out of dumplings.
>>9288856
kimchi
mangosteen
seaweed sheets
pocky
>>9288856
Really no point in rice now that rice noodles are easy to get. Plus the noodles are never tainted with US chemicals.

>cool mushrooms you don't usually see
God DAMN I love me some cheese fries.
What's a place that sells good cheese fries?
>>9288727
North Korea
I feel like the shitter cheese fries are the better
theaters, fairs, farmers markets, and taco bell
>>9288731
This. I go there on holidays just for the cheese fries.
How To cook wawa
All of Wawa's food is absolute garbage.
What does /ck/ think of my blueberry microwave cake?
I think it had a bit too much moisture in it.
