Why does eating raw eggs get such a bad rap? My neighbor keeps chickens and occasionally she'll give us some eggs for free, sharing. And now with this EU egg scare I'm glad she's there.
But still, what exactly is wrong with eating raw egg? It's not meat, it can't spoil like that.
Raw meat won't spoil right away either but what's wrong with eating it raw? Just cook your eggs man lol.

Broadly, there is an elevated risk of salmonella, due to the general elevated risk associated with poultry. However, the risk in the continental USA, which has a higher risk estimate than the EU, puts the odds of an egg being contaminated with salmonella at roughly 1 in 20,000
Eggs come right out of the chicken's rectum
Chickens literally eat their own shit
Salmonella
I guess it might be okay if you washed them

I'm Italian and I never cook with olive oil. Growing up my parents were too frugal to buy it.
Now I can afford it, but I prefer cooking with animals fats and butter, instead.
>I'm Italian
Did you try mixing the two? It can be pretty neat.
>>9296456
Olive oil and tomatoes are a southern Italy thing. In the north they use butter and lard.

Is this a good grill for a begginer? I saw this Kingsford grill for 80 bucks, it works with charcoal but there's also a variant that uses gas for the same price.
Gas or charcoal? And, is this a nice grill for a Noob?
Should work fine anon. Grills don't need to be complicated.
>>9296320
Better off having a gas and charcoal. Lighting up charcoal to grill one steak feels like a waste.
I only use the charcoal if I'm feeding a lot of people or I'm doing low and slow.
>>9296320
Oddly enough I just used one of those this weekend. Seems nice enough for grilling, but I don't think I'd want to use it to smoke or make actual BBQ. Personally I'd spend the extra coin and get a standard Weber kettle.

I live on campus at uni now and the shared kitchen only has a microwave, fridge, toaster and a hot water dispenser on the wall. What is something good and cheap I can buy to cook food? I've thought about buying an electric steamer and cooking some fish and veggies in it because microwaving pasta and rice just feels sad to me
Beat up a woman with a brick and make her cook for you
does it not even have a stovetop?
depends on what you like to eat, but some items to consider would be
>toaster oven
>electric skillet
>hot plate and a cheap saucepan or two
a steamer might not be a bad idea. be careful about cooking fish or other strong smelling foods in a shared kitchen. even if you cook it in a closed container, smells can linger afterwards. other people's food always smells worse than your own, and fish is one of the biggest culprits. it might not be so bad if the kitchen has a window you can open while you cook.
main thing is, before you buy anything sit down and list how many different meals you can cook and that you actually like to eat. then if you can only afford one appliance, pick the one that has the biggest overlap between what you like to eat and what you can make with it.
HOW DO YOU BLOW A BUBBLE WITH CHEWING GUM?
I DONT UNDERSTAND
You cannot explain it. You just have to learn on your own through practice. It just..does.
>offer someone a stick of chewing gum
>hear them popping it in their mouth for the next half hour
you don't blow a bubble with chewing gum, you chew it.
you blow a bubble with bubble gum. its in the fucking name.
What can I prepare with hot dogs, horse jerky, chicken liver, lard, peas and sauerkraut, /ck/? I have to live off this shit during at least two weeks because reasons.
