Mine isn't even really like pic related it's essentially a ridged skilled with a hand press, two separate pieces. All I know is everything George Foreman I've bought before has been shit.

Honestly its better off to just get a cast iron press and use that as opposed to the whole grill.

I got a multi purpose one.

They're pretty legit for making paninis with the grill plates, indoor grilling any meat, using the griddle plates for like eggs, pancakes. Yeah if you have the griddle plates and you can open yours flat it's great.
