What's with all the Buffalo Trace shilling on here lately? I mean it's a pretty good bourbon, especially for the price, but having the marketing team spend all this energy on 4chan and al/ck/ threads doesn't seem very productice. Way more reach on facebook!

I dont know why its been blowing up recently (fucking United Airlines now has it available on economy class) but Buffalo Trace is like Makers Mark without the stupidly marked up price.

$24 is great but if you can get Bulleit for cheaper, I'd go for Bulleit. Around here it's $30 for 750ml while Bulleit goes for more.

It is very good for the price that you pay, although personally I prefer Bulleit. Both are around £20 in the UK which is very good for a nice tasting whisky. If you want a good scotch, you are generally looking at £25+ depending on what is on offer.

It's my bourbon of choice. Best bang for your buck. Bulleit is a little hot for my taste. Woodford Reserve is still my favorite.

Where I live buffalo trace is a huge amount cheaper than JD's (which tastes like airfix glue) and a couple of pound cheaper than bulleit.
It's a cheap bourbon that's I can sip neat without mixing it to mask the flavour. nearly as good as maker's Mark, nearly as good as woodford reserve but 1/3 cheaper.

I basically started drinking bourbon, rum etc when single malt prices started going through the roof. I can get a really decent bourbon (eagle rare) for the price of a low-tier single malt.....also i like to try different things.
