Looks edible but it's nothing more than boiled pasta and warmed up beans.

Small beginnings anon.

So /ck/, why are you still making mashed potatoes when jacket potatoes are the clearly superior choice?

When making mashed potatoes, you have to:
>peel the potatoes
>cut the potatoes
>boil the potatoes
>mash the potatoes
>add milk and butter
>mix it all together

With jacket potatoes you have to:
>prick the potato with a fork
>stick it in the oven at 200 degrees C for an hour

Jacket potatoes are also
>healthier because the skin contains nutrients and fiber
>tastier
>you get to enjoy the nice crispy skin
>more versatile, you can have chilli on a jacket potato but you can't have chilli with mashed potatoes

All right, I'll bite... I've never before heard the term "jacket potato".

Me either. Baked potatoes are good and all, but they're really just a vehicle for sour cream
>>
Because Im an adult and can have potatoes anyway Id like them

I heard that stuff gives you a buzz or some shit. What does it taste like and what are the effects it has on you?

It does nothing, and it tastes like an Arnold Palmer except replace the lemonade with water and the iced tea with shittier iced tea.

Copy that. Thanks anon.

I ate a rare steak about an hour ago for the very first time and I feel sleepy and content, like I want to go outside and sleep next to a bonfire.

What is this magic?

Are your mornings spiritual anon? I consider mine I time of introspection, silence and meditation. I achieve this by drinking tea.

My favorite tea is Ceylon, what's the best brand of Ceylon tea can I buy off of Amazon?

What would go well with tea in the morning? Probably some sort of sweet I imagine. Any suggestions?

Describe how you start your day.

Yeah, mine are pretty spiritual. I achieve this by drinking the vodka left in my glass from last night and smoking a cigarette in the bath tub.
>>
>>8517295
>Describe how you start your day.

First thing usually involves staggering bleary eyed to the bathroom to take a massive shit.

>time of introspection, silence and meditation

In a way I too do that.
>>
>>8517295

>be me
>wake up
>mumble various curse words under my breath
>walk to bathroom
>step on miniature thomas train
>get to bathroom on 1 1/2 feet
>piss
>brush teeth
>shit
>go back to room
>step on different miniature Thomas train
>put on clothes
>walk to front door with wary eye for miniature Thomas train
>put on work boots
>take off one boot and remove miniature Thomas train
>put boot back on
>get in work truck
>drive to work

That's my average morning...

Do you use your bread ties like a patrician or do you spin the bag and tuck it under like a manchild?
41 posts and 6 images submitted.
>>
>>8517237
At the point where spinning it is an option then the bread tie isn't necessary and you're just being an autist
>>
When I'm one third in, I throw the tie away and give it a spin. More than halfway in, I just flip it over.
>>
>>8517237
ALWAYS tie it.
My son spins it under like the man child he is. Drives me fucking NUTS.

I'm breaking my 30 day fast today. Was doing it to reset my body kinda, and also because I've been a miserable wreck since my girlfriend dumped me like a month ago. Tonight I have a date with a classmate. Where should I take her? It'll be in Chicago so I have a lot to choose from. I was thinking either Cuban or maybe an overpriced Italian joint

>>8516774
I was 220, now, factoring in the weight gain after I start eating again due to waterweight, I'm probably 200-210

I don't mind subway. I load it up with every vegetable and just use some yellow mustard. my sandwiches don't look like they were at a bukake party.
>>
>>8516712
Do you really have to say bukkake "party"? I doubt their are many solemn bukkake gatherings these days, I think the party atmosphere is just implied.

I love beef jerky but it is expensive to purchase at stores, and would like to make my own.
Right now I am choosing which dehydrator to purchase, and I am probably gonna get this one.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008H2OELY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Would appreciate any form of beef jerky advice! It's going to be my first time making it.

It's a better option than dehydrator's because there's no heating element in them and that ends up cooking the meat. This drys it naturally and it's how Alton Brown does it.
>>
>>8516694
>it's how Alton Brown does it.
I thought he uses a box fan, furnace filters and bungee cord

Stoves like pic related are shit, yeah, but the induction cooktop I've got is great. Boiling water for pasta etc. takes like two minutes and it has 10 different settings.
