How much does it cost to live this lifestyle of a new city every month and eating out for every meal
>>8512098
If you have to ask, you can't afford it.
what
What are some meals I can cook on Sunday and bring for lunch Monday through Friday. (Pic related)

I often roast a whole bunch of chicken (usually thighs) and then wrap them individually in plastic wrap and foil. I can pop one in the microwave out of the fridge when I get home from school or work. My spice rub consists of cumin, cayenne pepper, parprika, black pepper, ground oregano, garlic powder, and kosher salt. You could also possibly add a dash of cinnamon, coriander, or onion powder or celery salt as well.
You could also bake a whole bunch of potatoes and then wrap them individually. Could maybe bring some fixings like cheese and chopped green onions along in a ziplock or maybe even keep some sour cream/butter in the fridge in the break room. Pop it in the microwave and you're good to go.
Pasta casseroles could be a good option as well although the more dairy, the iffier on whether any off flavors could develop later in the week.
I've also made enchiladas in bulk and then kept the sauce separate. Wrap them and put them in the freezer or fridge. Use a small glass jar to bring some sauce to work along with your wrapped enchilada, pour it over before you pop it in the microwave, and you're good to go.
Most food does ok for 3 days then starts turning to shit. There's plenty that will be ok to eat on day 5, but can't think of anything that's gonna taste all that good unless you freeze it.
If you're willing to freeze though, I make huge batches of chili and freeze 'em in single portions. Makes a great quick grab meal.
I have made epic amounts of burritos and froze them, each in there own plastic bag. microwave them 1 1/2 they last forever.

everything else I think of, can't last a week.
Let's discuss popular youtubers who develop their content around food. What are the implications of their work on food culture and cuisine? Also, when do you suspect Joey will die? I dare say soon.

His Cook and Review episodes with his friend are comfy as fuck.

What have you been mixing up lately /ck/?
In Aus it is hot as fuck so for my southern hemisphere bros I would recommend the Zioncheck Zipper.
1.5oz (45mL) Rye (I used Rittenhouse 40%)
0.5oz (15mL) Honey Syrup (1:1 Honey and water heated in pan or double boiler)
7ish mint leaves + sprig to garnish
>Muddle mint and honey syrup in mixing glass
>Add Rye
>Stir over ice
>Strain into rocks glass with cracked/crushed ice.
>Garnish with sprig of mint and serve with a short straw
>Drink by yourself and feel incredibly happy that you don't have to share it with anyone else.

For those in cooler climates a spiked orange hot chocolate (my own invention):
1.0oz (30mL) White Rum (I used Bacardi Superior, you could probably use dark/spiced rum or vodka even however)
1.0oz (30mL) triple sec (I used Cointreau)
Milk to fill mug
2-3 heaped teaspoons of cocoa
3 teaspoons of sugar (I used white but you could probably use brown or demera)
.5-1 teaspoon of cinnamon
0.25-.5 teaspoon of nutmeg
.5-1.0oz (15-30mL) Ginger syrup (optional, simmer ginger root with 1:1 sugar water ratio for 15-20min [this can be used in any cold cocktail as well], you could also just throw some ginger into the saucepan. If you use syrup you can cut back on the sugar)
>Throw everything in a small saucepan and heat over low flame, until almost boiling.
>Pour into mug and get comfy as fuck in front of your preferred screen.

>simmer ginger root
Sorry, I mean sliced ginger root (about 3mm slices)
This applejack, was traditionally made by letting barrels of cider freeze and taking the ice out until it got too strong to freeze. This oldest family that first began distilling apples back in georgee wwashington's day were from scotland and thus this apple based liquor has notes very similar to some light colored scotch. Real American history, but people drink jack danials apple flavored piss.
I've just been making dark and stormies with Capi ginger beer and Coruba dark rum. Coruba is cheaper than Goslings but the Capi is first rate, nice and spicy.
Should I eat a healthy banana for lunch or go across the street for fried chicken?
Banana or fried chicken?
Eating a banana for lunch isn't healthy
>>8511494
>eating just a banana for lunch
You could at least eat like, 3 bananas
I work pizza delivery.
I only spit in people's pizzas if they didn't tip me last time.
Also, when you do cunty things like giving me a $20 on a $19.47 order and then tell me to "keep the change", you're getting spit.
Youre a peasant
And then you wonder why your life is spent delivering food you can't afford.
>>8511316
Good thing I don't order pizza from shit pizza places that hire morons like you. Hope your life turns stays this shit forever.
I usually make Mac and Cheese using butter, regular milk, and of course the packaged cheese. My roommate drank the last of our whole milk, now I am forced to use almond milk. Is this a good idea or nah?
>>8511085
you are better off just skipping out on it
you could always through a little oil or half and half if you got any
>>8511085
No it's not you baiting idiot.

This. Also use no-name brand white cheddar. GOAT mac and cheese.
Post large amounts of delicious food
For me it's the McChicken, the best fast food sandwich.
The GOAT breakfast
What are some fairly wholesome and complete lunch ideas that will still taste good after several hours at or slightly above room temperature? Drinks, too, I guess.
I have classes for 7 hours some days, so whatever I bring to eat in between has to be good after staying in my bag for four or five hours. Fruit and pb sandwiches are going to get old after a while, and there's nowhere on or near campus to buy anything other than prepackaged deli sandwiches.
I'm thinking pasta salads. Tuna pasta salad, black olive and pesto pasta salad, greek salad. I think you just get fusili or the tube pasta (wtf is it even called) cook it, and the mix it with preferred veggies and meats. Also wondered about making fairly simple seasoned/flavorful chicken + rice dishes.

Penne.

Natural peanut butter and no sugar added raspberry jam sandwich on whole wheat, cherry tomatoes and carrot sticks, and a bottle of water.

Hummus
Quinoa
>>8508361
What the fuck is quinoa?
Hummus I agree with. People only eat it because Jews trick them into eating it so that it's harder to know who is Jewish and who isn't in case there is ever another holocaust and that's it.
Has /ck/ tried the best frozen pizza on the market yet?
>inb4 >frozen pizza
No one cares if you deny yourself one of life's greatest and most convenient pleasures.
Of course.
With black olives, anchovies, and fresh tomato slices.
>>8508171
How can it be great for grilling?
>>8508191
Hi ck. I want to share this marvelously mutated pineapple with you. Saw it today in a fruit shop, they had it on display in the drinks cooler.
Amusing or unusually shaped produce thread I guess.
I think it's time to move away from the nuclear plant, senpai.
Will you get superpowers if you eat it?
>>8507958
A powerful case of the runs maybe.
Post a picture of a hearty working-class meal you've eaten recently. The less fancy, the better, but bonus points for not being fast food. Local dishes a plus.
Pic related: Pupusa and pastellito, a pork stuffed grilled tortilla and a meat pie. The cabbage and the red sauce tops the pupusa. Very tasty. Honduran. One of my go-to's.
Washed down with god tier soft drink. Iron Beer.

Classic British working man's lunch.
What is a good high-mid to low-high quality Scotch? What to look for in a scotch? Anyone have a favorite?
