"After years of development, protest and regulatory red tape, the first genetically modified, non-browning apples will soon go on sale in the United States.

The fruit, sold sliced and marketed under the brand Arctic Apple, could hit a cluster of Midwestern grocery stores as early as Feb. 1. The limited release is an early test run for the controversial apple, which has been genetically modified to eliminate the browning that occurs when an apple is left out in the open air"

Redpill me on whoppers
How are they made?

They are better than Milk Duds. That is the only positive thing I can say about them.

Shut the fuck up
You don't deserve those dubs
Milk duds are god tier
>>
>>8516960
Milk duds suck. I hate them not because they cling to my teeth but because people confuse them with whoppers and they think they're synonymous with one another. Nothing worse than someone trying to be nice and surprise you with some whoppers but they get milk duds they just don't know the difference.

Behead those that enjoy milk duds.

I made an awesome crock pot fulla beans today. I used pinto, black eyed peas, navy beans and great northern beans.

I soaked them in a special stock for a few hours, then put them into the crock pot early this morning along with garlic, chili flakes, brown sugar and sea salt.

After that I added sausage, tons of ham and chicken thighs and left it alone for about 6 hours.

It turned out really good, there's heat from the chili, sweet from the sugar and it really goes well with the meats.

What type of beans are your favorite? Ever mixed beans? Damn black beans, think they're so much bigger than white beans.

Just something about putting a skillet on hot coals, the smokey flavor, and eating out in the woods is just so comfy.

What's your setup? How about dishes?

Last night, got the 15" cast iron out and made some chorizo con huevo. Bake some potatoes wrapped in foil around the fire so the starches set, throw in oil, onion, chopped chorizo, and chopped potatoes. Pick it up with some coal roasted tortillas, a little cholula on top, fucking perfection.

(side note: Tony's Creole Seasoning is a godsend, it's got everything you need in one shaker)

i cook everything on a 6" cast iron or tin foil and seasoned only with a combo salt/pepper grinder because i motorcycle camp and space/weight is an issue

Personally I love it, feels very free and natural. Usually take my little le creus and grill sheet for searing and balancing pan on. A little oil on the underside of the pan and go.
Was cooking pheasant in a cave with a nazi and it was terrific, gutting the things in the moonlight and drinking vodka till the fire died.

I'm taking my gf to PF changs tonight because she likes Chinese food. I'm not a huge fan, but damn those Dan Dan Noodles were always so good. They recently took those off the menu, so what should I order for dinner tonight?

Terrible. Steak doesn't need to be marinated. You should taste the meat. You would be better off adding that shit to ground beef and making meatballs.
>>
I bet that makes your steak very flavorful
>>
>>8516773

breh, salt and pepper cooked in butter. that's it. A nice horseradish cream to dip, if you'd like. Learn to cook the steak, don't need to marinate.

>Thoughts on publix?
Employee advancement from within, private company, great retirement benefits. Ranking of best groceries always has had it the top 1-2 since they began rankings, if not top 3 nationwide grocery stores, yet historically only in ONE STATE, Florida. Pretty big feat to be that good, overall. What is known about Publix is that the stores are scrupulously clean, no scratch and dent clearance sales, only freshest food. When generics were a big thing, Publix brand was the same if not better than national brands. Ethical leadership who basically all went to the same church in the same town, and sat on the board. Publix still doesn't collect data on its consumers or require tracked cards in order to get sale prices. Privacy policy, sure, and you can trust it (geeks like that). Publix has always had a customer is right policy where you are never ripped off or argued with about some disappointment.

Cult following on some their things, from the Publix sub, to deli breads, desserts, or some of the cultural offerings like cuban bocadito spread, croquettes, pastelitos, mojo pork, or sushi counters or live florida lobster. They do not carry prime, but they do have real butchers on site, always, so splitting a packing, getting a cut to order rump roast, or crown of pork, 15 slabs of babybacks for your BBQ, or getting a primal is a quick request with a smile. The prices used to be consider slightly higher, but competition with WinnDixie brought about the BOGOs, so expect to pay like 70 cents more for your loaf of bread, but the rest isn't so bad.

There are no shopping carts filling up the parking lot or dinging your doors, and by the way, it's angle parking and never too narrow or shitty. The groceries are bagged for you and placed in your trunk and your cart is walked back, rain or shine, and you can establish rapport with them, but they refuse tips by policy until you insist. Keeps up with food trends, organic, etc.

Because.

Because coconut tastes good and so does chocolate. I find the dark chocolate Bounty to be nicer though because it evens out the sweetness from the coconut more.

Grilled Cheese Goes In Every Field

For me it's the McChicken.
>>
Fun Fact: If you follow all the standard procedures in making a grilled cheese sandwich, with the exception of inserting cheese between the bread, it will taste practically identical to a regular grilled cheese sandwich. Don't believe me? Have a friend over and serve them a cheeseless grilled cheese, and I guarantee they won't notice the difference.
