What's your favorite local chain /ck/?
In Michigan we have this place called Chicken Shack and their broasted potatoes are sexual.
Chicken shack is bad, chesters is good
>>8519143
Never had it. Is 12 and Mound the only location?
Chicken Shack's regular chicken is meh. Their BBQ tendies, ribs, potatoes, and cole slaw are GOAT though.
>>8519158
There is one in Plymouth, and one in Muskegon, I'm sure there are others. Just moved downriver and we have a few chicky shacks
So i'm depressed as fuck. Are there any food to make me feel happy other than weed?
>>8518538
Look for a fat person and watch them eat. After 45 minutes they will be full, but they will continue eating. This is when you will see what they eat to make themselves happy.
>>8518538
You could eat a dick
Potato soup.
Show me your best dumplings, /ck/.
Wish I could.
Currently in the process of computer repairs. Might lose all by cooking pictures if I can't resolve the system file errors. Fresh install is inevitable, it's only a matter now if I can recover and backup my current files.
Got a gnocchi picture that would blow your mind.

We're waiting with bated breath.
What's a good, basic, dumpling recipe any retard can make? Asking for a friend. Who is retarded.
I made me some carbonara for dinner. Old school, nice and simple. Even dropped a little cream in.
Ha-ha-ha, what are you gonna do about that?
>>8517177
Why do people hate carobaras here?
>>8517177
Nice watermark.
>>8517177
i made it for the first time today too, and it was pretty nice. I fried some cut pieces of bacon on the pan, then added garlic, then fried it for some time and added pasta in and some parmegiano.
Then i turned the heat off, added the eggs on top and some pepper, mixed it and done. Served with some parmegiano on top.
Anything to improve?
I was running low on milk and didn't want to go all the way to the market, so I stopped at a convenience store and this was the only 2% they had.
Now I'm reading all this stuff about it being "frankenmilk" and people have been boycotting it.
Tastes like milk to me, actually tastes a little more like the organic stuff I buy normally vs. the cheap stuff that comes in the plastic jug.
Am I putting poison in my tea/coffee?
>>8516382
>coca-cola company
There u go
It's all I drink for milk. I couldn't give two shits, it's delicious.
It's ultra-filtered milk from Coca-Cola. The UF process removes the whey and lactose. They dry the whey, sell it, and sell you the 'fancy' milk for way too much per gallon. Don't buy it and don't buy organic. You are paying for bullshit.
I NEED CAKES
What's your favorite? I love ones with heavy thicc cream cheese icing, a rich interior, and nuts if possible.
Thinking about trying this one soon.

POST CAKES
>>8516292
Have you tried opening a box of cake mix, adding eggs, oil, and water, mixing it up, and then drinking the entire bowl of raw cake batter like the pile of human filth you are?
I'm a simple man, I like a simple white or yellow cake with a butter cream icing.
So I don't have a lot of money to spend and I'm not that great of a cook. I am getting sick of the same goddamn pasta every day though. Could use some advice on how to spice things up a bit and just general cheap things to make.
Right now what I'm doing is spaghetti with a sauce made out of shrooms, creme fraiche, chopped bacon and spinach.
I always have spaghetti in the house and the bacon is actually really cheap over here. Like I said though, I wanna try different things but as cheap as possible.
boil some rice and eat it
>>8516177
>get frozen stir fry veggies
>fry and mix with spaghetti
>throw soy sauce + sugar + red pepper flakes on it while cooking
you can add meat if you have it
>>8516177
I cooked cabbage with carrots, onions, and garlic. Took the fat off of a nice pork shoulder, rendered it, then cooked the carrots, onions, and garlic in there. Seared the meat which was cut up into pieces. Added cabbage with some water. Cooked until cabbage was cooked (pork was also done at the same time, I don't mind stewed/boiled meat really). Cost like 10 dollars, dunno if that' s cheap for you. Fed me for the week. It really depends on what is cheap in your area. Pork and chicken are cheap here so I eat a lot of that.
sup cu/ck/s,
post what you use to chop and shit.
I got these from my mom for my birthday.
Yoshihiro VG-10 16-layer damascus 8.25" Gyuto knife and 5.3" petty knife.
>>8516051
i like global, good ergonomics and lightweight
>>8516051
>Yoshihiro VG-10
Looks like pretty much every VG-10 stainless clad clone coming from japan these days.
>>8517125
I really can't understand why someone would like overpriced mass products by Global.
I'm not saying they are bad, but over here, you can get better German or Japanese knives for the same price.
So my parents gave me 10 kilogramm of beets for my birthday, what are some good meals to make with a lot of beets?
Borscht? Can't think of much else.
>>8515768
>So my parents gave me 10 kilogramm of beets for my birthday
That's a little odd, don't you think?
>>8515768
They keep a long time in a cool, dry place. You don't have to eat them all at once.
I like to roast them. Coat in olive oil and place in tinfoil packets with a sprig of rosemary, thyme and/or tarragon. Roast in oven at 400F for 1 hour. Let cool and the skin easily peels off. Slice and eat or chop and add to salads. Make borscht or cover with a pickling brine.
Like how the fuck do you even get to go to Arby's?
>be me
>live with parents
>work hard, enjoy family dinners
>parents always pay, but want to go to Bob Evans or Boston Market
>never pick Arby's
I am a mess. Arby's commercials always make the food look beyond delicious but I never get to go there. How can I convince them to go there? Should I just threaten to kill myself?
Help please, I was hoping to get there before Easter.
ARBY'S IS OK BUT WAY TOO EXPENSIVE
Go there yourself for lunch on your own time and your own money.
>>8514526
Arby's is shit.
I made Hungarian Goulash with Hot Paprika I bought off Amazon. I have no idea if it's authentic or not because I've never had it, and I don't know any Hungarians.
Tasted pretty good though..
>>8513801
what makes you think it was hungarian goulash then? did you even had recipe? and why do you come here to brag about your fucking tomato sauce?
>>8513837
I parsed about a dozen "Hungarian Goulash" recipes based on what I had on hand. There is not one tomato in this dish.
1/2 hungarian here
we don't use the hot paprika here, but you can if you want. Goulash is pretty straightforward. i wouldn't get bitchy like a texbro complaining about beans in chili.
what is the thinking man's soda pop choice? me, i always go with coca cola.
water
Jewda stream
I drink soda once a week or so but really op.. the thinking mans soda? What are you, 16?
HELP!!!
can anyone help me make a bloody marry...? All I have is pic related and no actual tomato juice. Can I still make one. No worcestershire sauce but I think I have all of the other traditional ingredients I think. I have grey goose vodka as well
I love u cu/ck/s
>>8520651
Yes. Here's what you do. Go to the store and buy some fucking tomato juice.
>>8520651
Eww no. That's cooked tomatoes and chicken stock. Nope. Go to the store or change your mind.
Anyone stock up on meat when it's cheap and freeze it? This is chicken thigh at $.77/lb, gonna have some mongolian chicken in the future
doubt it. you're probably the only one
Nah, no one does that
i do
going to dq, What should I get?
>>8520224

>>8520224
Flamethrower burger and a dilly bar
>>8520230
I'm going to replace the dilly bar with a blizzard I think.
