What are the differences between the big four?
>>1458636
Well, I mean, they are all big, and there are four of them if you count them all, but each one is inherently unique from the others in their profit margins, business structures, number of employees, as well as salarys, working conditions, and benefits offered. I do believe if you research the topic enough, you may even find the one thats the best to work for out of all of them!
Jesus christ OP! That's brilliant!

man having two parents was the best shit.
I was about your age when my parents divorced.
I was conceived out of wedlock by two stock brokers at the the height of the 1980s bull market. Born 2 months to the day after the 1987 crash. They tried to make a go of it when they had my sister. In 6 years they would hate each other so much they ended up in a divorce.
Thursday and every other weekend I saw my dad. First it was hamburgers for dinner and chuck e. cheese, trips to the toy store, then the tech bubble popped in 2000.
Trips to burger kings with the play palace were replaced by frozen microwave meals and restrictions on all luxuries. I hated my father and father then for choosing such a financially unstable career.
Worst part is parents went broke as I entered middle school - basically went from upper middle class to lower class in a year. I know I didn't have it as bad as other kids from my school, but I'd been through some shit that was relatively traumatic compared to how comfy my lifestyle was before. Anyways, I didn't fit in.
High school was spent playing my parents off each other since no one wanted to take responsibility for my social welfare, I had to manipulate them to get what I wanted or needed, like a car, money for clothes, until I got a job at 17. Two years after I graduate, I'm going to community and the 2008 crash happens. No support again. Find out University will be on my dollar now.
Honestly, it's not like I had it hard. I just had such wild fluctuations in what my expectations for the future that I didn't know what was real or stable anymore. Drugs proved to be the only reliable source of pleasure in my life. Kinda sad, but true. Still working myself out of that trap.
Years later now and I'm not sure who to blame, if anyone. Watching shows like COPS helps me realize so much of your life is out of your control, but a lot of it is too.
Guess I'm just growing older and wiser.
Stay strong guys, all things pass with time.

Does your lunch time count as a work hour when you're a full time employee?
I've worked in two places before and I've never asked, I just always assumed it didn't. Now I'm filling a new e-timesheet thing and when I enter 8-5 its saying I worked 9 hours??
I know it differs, but I'd feel really retarded asking anyone after working having worked here for over a year now. I just want a feel for what the norm is.
>>1458554
At my shit wagecuck job you have to clock out for your lunch break. But I always take much longer than we're suppose to.
>>1458554
I think it varies by state, but usually...
You get 30 min for any 6hr shift, and 1hr for a 9hr shift, and it's supposed to be paid. Just call the DOL in your state and ask them what the rules are.
>>1458554
Do they require you to stay on their property?
If yes, they need to pay you for it.
If no, they dont have to and its not "work time"
So is this the latest P&D, or does it actually stand a chance long term?
One of the few alt coins that add anything in my opinion. I think it's here to stay
No its not a scam.
>>1458551
It stands a chance and I'am a big time investor.
Current price is 0.00643 BTC. All XMR price increases before had the same length (early 2015, early 2016) so I don't know how much steam is left. I will hold but I'am not sure if it will rise more or just go down again.
Actually I don't care.
The crypto god gave onto me everything. So he may take it all back if it is his wish.
This it it. I'm going to become a wagecuck for life, my parents don't want to support me anymore.
All this free time I could have used to learn programming and become rich selling video games and programs.
If any of you know any get rich quick schemes or something which can yield 200 dollars a month then this would be the perfect time. Otherwise please give me the most painless method of suiciding without anyone going to jail for me.
You know the worst part? I didn't even enjoy my childhood. I don't know what innocence, magic and fun is. I'm an autist.
>>1458518
Its about to get way worse.
>>1458515
Sounds like your parents were right to cut off the investment in your programming career.
Why would you hold VOO or SPY long term compared to a 3x etf like TQQQ or SPXL that would make you a lot more money?
Pic related for example you wouldve made 700% holding TQQQ for 5 years compared to 86% holding VOO. Is there some kind of catch im missing here?
>>1458454
>Is there some kind of catch im missing here?
Yep.
>>1458465
Which is?
It's a leveraged ETF. Notice how TQQQ has deeper valleys/drawdown. Leveraged ETFs magnify gains AND losses. Leveraged ETFs are great for bull markets but you. If the stock index only makes small gains in a bear market with a lot of losses in between like right now, the daily losses can overwhelm the small gains. Notice how TQQQ barely makes it pass the peak in 2015 but the VOO makes new highs with flying colors.
Basically, leveraged ETFs are great if you bet correctly in a bull market, but you will be very fucked if you started buying the TQQQ at the beginning of the 2015 bear market.
Hi /biz/,
I've finally made the decision to fuck off from college, and am now in the process of becoming a successful entrepreneur.
I'd like to expand my horizons in order to make more wise decisions in my venture. I recently listening to Earl Nightingale's The Strangest Secret, which I very highly recommend you listen to.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IeaBfM3TdHQ
and I'm thirsty for more good advice or books specifically about starting up a business but anything good in general is also welcome.
I have the spirit, humility, creativity, I just need all the knowledge I can attain. Thanks in advance.

How much did you lose?
Sup /biz/, so I know "following up" is generally good practice, but considering pic related was on their website, is it wise to email these fuckers about my application?
Also, job hunt general, I guess
OP, I'd say to respect their policy of not calling back; however, I'd like some insight if I should follow up with an email. Basically, had an interview at a manufacturing company for an entry level position doing orders and stuff on Tuesday last week. Got a call back same day for a follow up interview on Friday. I think it went really well. My question is, should I send a thank you email today since they had the weekend to think about it? Or just wait for their reply?
>>1458395
You already got the interview. What did they say they would do once you finished?
>>1458395
Yeah, I'm definitely not going to call, but I was wondering if I should email... which I think I'm gonna do, fuck it
I don't think it ever hurts to send a "thanks for the interview" email, in your case
Does Bitcoin have a future?
>>1458348
Don't worry, when there will be no cash anymore and every fucking little expense will be tracked, bitcoin will have its use.
Yes, a bright future
>>1458381
Even with coin mixers bitcoin is still pretty trackable, especially if you have the power of a government computer farm.
You havent missed it yet. Just saying. You have like a day or two to decide max.
>>1458342
Will you explain what this is supposed to mean OP?
