Are we talking financial advice strictly or some real world advice?

I wish I tried harder when I was younger. I used to be one of those wagecucks that just stood around doing the bare minimum because I was under the impression that working any harder made no difference. It's true I suppose, at that very point in time, your pay will not be affected by extra effort...but the heart to do well will drive you out of that position. No matter where you are in life, do your best and do it with effort. You'll get to a point where you realize everyone around you is a fucking dead beat retard and then you'll move on to something better

I have never done daytrading or stock investing in my life and I'm considering getting into it so I can stop being a poorfag.

Is there like a noob wiki somewhere that I can read up?

What's a good trader site/app to use? I can probably start with like $100

hire chinese to make 30

try to sell them for a profit

if you fail, brainstorm and figure out how to get more sales

if you succeed, order more, brainstorm and figure out how to get more sales

if you waste too much time on this sell them passively by advertizing them on your site, etsy or ebay or whatever and focus your attentions on another idea

you have to be rational and make good judgments as to whether to continue with it or not and how to proceed without falling for memes, completely ignore embarrassingly stupid things like tai lopez and multi-level marketing schemes, focus on practical advice connected to the reality of running a business, how to get licensed, the tire grading system used in Colombia, etcetera...

Lets say you have $10k.

Are you better off buying or shorting $10k worth of a stock outright, or purchasing $10k worth of a naked put or call option? To maximize profits.

Let's say you have $10k.

Are you better off buying 10,000 lottery tickets or putting $10,000 on red at a casino? Think about it.

With efficient markets, your risk and reward is always going to balance out.
>>
>>1687498

then options are your best choice, but it also means you maximize loses as well

What would be a serious step-by-step method to stop being a complete waste of space?
I used to feel like I had a future but now I just feel like trash.
I did take a few years of Uni before my financial aid dried up forcing me to take a break.
I was working toward an Engineering degree so my math skills are okay.
I also have some experience putting together basic websites via WordPress.
I'm 23 and do have a min wage McJob.
I currently have about $2000 saved up and own an old beater car to get around.
Also kinda overweight and >tfw no gf.

Since /biz/ is one of the most knowledgeable boards on the Chan please give it to me straight guys:
Am I salvageable or should I just an hero?
Can I have a retard proof guide on how to fix myself?
Or at the very least a way to get back in school again?

It'll be be hard going to school and working at the same time. You could try night school and aim for a trade. Just get an apprentice level and aim for a job with that. Always say you are looking to get the next level if it's needed. Got my gas 3 to 3 months only 12 hours of school a week. I'm now installing gas stoves and shit for more then minimal wage. Going to work on g2 next year (10months 12 hour weeks)

Get more student loans?

If you can't figure this out on your own, then yes you are hopeless.

Get your shit together and go back to school. Work your ass off and get organization, leadership and internship experience. Those three things will help you get a job when you graduate.

Otherwise you will continue being a fat piece of shit stuck in a dead-end job.

Determine fixed costs such as auto payment, insurance, cell phone, etc. Get them set up on an auto payment system through your bank or the company itself.

Determine your budget for variable costs. Your gas, food, etc. Get a secured credit card with a limit not exceeding that amount. Keep your debit card at home locked up and booby trapped.

Whatever is left just let sit in your checking/savings account that you can't touch.

Once you figure out that being a $300/week wage cuck for the rest of your life isn't something to look forward to, use the money you saved to better your life.

Are student loans really all that bad? I've been working wagecuck jobs since high school and the only way out that I can see for myself, realistically speaking, is if I go to college and get a degree. Say I went and took out 20-25k in loans to go to a CC then transfer-- I've calculated the monthly payment, and for a lot of people it's around 300-500 bucks a month to pay it back in 5-10 years. If I went and got a degree in accounting and got a job that pays 40-50k a year(which seems pretty reasonable), isn't that worth it? You could live modestly under 3500 a month, drive a cheap, used car and easily be able to afford that payment, all the while getting raises every year or so, and valuable experience you never would have gotten without the degree. People act like student loans are this huge calamity that ruined their lives, but it's only 500 bucks a month for fuck's sake. These are the same people who buy 800 dollar iPhones every year or drive brand new cars.

I never would have imagined that I'm seriously considering taking out these huge ass loans. It all seems to hinge on if you get a good job out of school or not, but how hard could that honestly be if you bust your ass and do well in your classes? Or is it a mistake altogether to even think about this?

>go to college
>rack up tens of thousands in debt
>graduate and make $10K more than non college educated wagecuck
>pay $20K a year in loans for 5 years
>finance a car, rack up credit card debt, and get a mortgage in the mean time because you can't afford anything because of student loan payments
>pay off those in the next 30 years while continuing down the slippery slope

If you're too stupid to get a full ride or too lazy to apply for a bunch of small scholarships that add up, then college isn't for you buddy. Just take up a trade, be a wage cuck for 5-10 years, then start a business and steal your employers customers. Then in 20-30 years your business will be booming but your body will be shit, and your new young employees repeat the cycle of stealing your business. If you're smart you saved and invested well and move to Philippines and marry a 18 year old girl.
>>
If you have a great job then no, its not bad. That makes sense though
>>
To be fair most of the people who are royally fucked are those who chose useless majors like lesbian dance theory. I do know some people who are financially fucked who did useful majors, but for them it's mostly because:
a) they're women who go into more fulfilling but lower paying jobs
b) because they wanted to travel and unwind after undergrad, so they followed their whims and when they come back they have no connections or recent experience
c) they decided to spend a lot during undergrad (i.e. they NEEDED to live in that expensive apartment on the hill, they NEEDED an expensive car, they NEEDED to live on campus, etc.)
d) All of the above

Overall, I think you'll be fine. Just be sure to hit college hard if your goal is to make good money afterward. Get mostly A's and some B's, work internships, do things that are relevant to what you want to do, etc. Seriously though, be very sociable in both professional and personal ways (know what you're talking about and be able to talk business, but know how and when to crack inappropriate jokes and banter with people). I went to dental school, but even here I have to tell you that it's not so much about the grades you make, it's about the hands you shake

Try to save a little each month ($5 is better than $0). Invest in 'safe' investments. I'm assuming you're young and have a long investment horizon. An indexed fund (ex. SPY) would be a good start as well as some dividend stocks or growth stocks.

Don't chase small/micro/penny/biotech stocks that can ruin your portfolio.

What is your dream checklist for success?
> Full Workout daily, Cardio on off-days
> Atleast 2 chapters of whatever I happen to be reading
> Atleast 2 full, healthy meals (Having trouble with this the most, working out is easy to force myself to do daily, but eating healthy is difficult as I have no idea how to shop for variety in healthy meals)
> Limit non-productive computer time to less than 3 hrs.

What habits are you working to develop /biz/?

What advice can you give someone trying to develop beneficial daily habits?
