Today I saw on my office computer's search history that someone was browsing and posting on 4chan. They were also posting on Reddit and they left their account logged in so I know it was my boss (I have the best computer in the office so he uses it sometimes).
The guy is 59 yrs old. He's a small business owner with a bunch of hair-brained ideas and schemes to build different revenue streams. It's a little embarrassing. /biz/ was one of several boards he visits.
Bill, if you're on here, please get off and actually work for your business instead of playing "free" flash games on your iPad.

Anyone made any money with affiliate marketing? I've made some money with e-commerce, but dealing with product fulfillment and customer service annoy me, so I'm trying to get into being an affiliate. I just started promoting some Clickbank offers via Bing Ads.
I've gotten a decent clickthrough rate on most of my ads, but no commissions just yet. I think the next step is to start gathering e-mails and following up. I was hoping I could get sales just by direct linking cold traffic, but I guess not.

Why not? I'm also building a full-on affiliate site that I'm optimizing for SEO, but it's gonna take months before I start seeing any money. I figured experimenting with PPC in the meantime would be smart. I've seen a lot of people make money with this method, especially if they build an e-mail list.

I'm a doctor and medical educator from the UK. I've often found concepts to be badly explained and turned to YouTube tutorials to get to grips with the big picture of a subject before going to primary literature to get the details. I'm aware, therefore, there's competition from some big providers but I think I have a marketable skill in explaining difficult medical concepts - my question is, is this a viable money-making strategy (on top of my clinical work) or am I wasting my time?

$USD is probably the most stable currency. i am canadian and have shorted the canadian dollar at a few different times by buying put options on FXC, a currency ETF traded on the stock market. the fed is going to continue to raise rates and canada's central bank's rate hike will lag behind this considerably, so there is more downside ahead for the canadian dollar. i heard that the euro is fucking fucked.

yes, the rest of the world is even more fucked than the USA. the fed is raising interest rates and that will make the dollar go up against the other major currencies that aren't, it's as simple as that.
as for 3rd world currencies, who knows, they are probably too volatile to fuck with unless you are very well informed.
